Abstract

This study aims to analyze the linguistic patterns used by young mothers in Dusun Garantiga, Maros Regency, on Facebook Pro content, and to examine the relationship between digital writing and speaking skills and audience engagement levels. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach with digital linguistic analysis. Data were collected through digital observation and online documentation of 120 posts from ten selected Facebook Pro accounts using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson and Spearman correlation tests with SPSS 25 for Windows. The results show that the linguistic patterns of young mothers’ digital communication are dominated by code-mixing (35%), informal style (28%), and netspeak (18%), indicating the use of casual greetings, abbreviations, emojis, and hashtags to create social closeness with audiences. Correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between digital writing and speaking skills and engagement levels (r = 0.642; p < 0.05). Communicative and expressive language use was found to increase audience interactions such as likes, comments, and shares. Theoretically, this research enriches digital linguistics studies by highlighting community-based communication practices that have received limited academic attention. Practically, the findings offer recommendations for developing community-based digital communication literacy, particularly empowering young mothers in rural areas to utilize social media effectively as a medium for social and economic empowerment

Abstract

Abstract

The development of population size is a crucial factor in determining the direction of regional development. North Minahasa Regency has shown a relatively stable population growth trend each year. This study aims to construct a mathematical model using a logistic approach to predict the population of North Minahasa from 2020 to 2024. The logistic model was selected because it effectively represents growth that does not continuously increase but slows down as resources become limited. The prediction results are expected to support more accurate and sustainable development policies.

Abstract

his study aims to examine and empirically describe the implementation of the Snowball Throwing learning model in improving student learning activeness in Social Studies (IPS) for Grade V students at SD Negeri 15 Sorong Regency. The background of the problem is the low enthusiasm and minimal active involvement of students due to the dominance of conventional, teacher-centered methods, especially in the context of IPS subjects. Student activeness is considered the key to learning success, requiring varied and participatory strategies. Snowball Throwing, a cooperative model that integrates group work with an imaginative question ball game, is an innovative solution to encourage active participation, communication, and collaboration among students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected in June 2023 through observation of classroom activities using the Snowball Throwing model, interviews with the principal, IPS teachers, and students, and documentation of relevant archives (RPP, photos, etc.). The implementation was carried out in seven systematic stages, focusing on changing the student's role from passive listening to active discussion and question generation. The results show that the implementation of the Snowball Throwing model was successful in significantly increasing student learning activeness. This success is evidenced by the fulfillment of eight indicators of student activeness, including participation in assignments, problem-solving, active questioning, and group discussion. Although there were challenges, such as the drastically reduced class time (from 3x45 minutes to 40 minutes ) and disturbances from peers , the activeness increased substantially from the first to the second meeting. Students reported that the model was fun, reduced boredom, and made the IPS material easier to understand, fostering greater responsibility and confidence in expressing opinions. This confirms that the model effectively stimulates concrete activeness and participation in the classroom. Keywords : Snowball Throwing, Learning Activeness, Social Studies

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Local Government's policy regarding the optimization of the Aimas Main Market's function as a local economic center in Sorong Regency. The research was motivated by the fact that the Aimas Main Market, despite being built since 2012 and officially inaugurated in 2017 to replace the previously ceded Central Remu Market, has not been utilized for buying and selling transactions. This situation highlights a gap between infrastructure development policy and its effective implementation and utilization by the community. Using a qualitative research approach, data was collected through interviews and questionnaires with key informants, including officials from the Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency (BPPRD), traders, and the community. The findings indicate that the primary inhibiting factor is the lack of a regulated transportation system for ingress and egress, particularly for traders and buyers from remote areas and Sorong City. Although all physical facilities, such as market stalls and drainage systems, are reported to be 100% ready, the market's activation awaits the final instruction from the Regent. Local traders continue to use the Central Remu Market, which is now an asset of Sorong City, consequently hindering the local economic optimization in Sorong Regency. Therefore, the study concludes that immediate coordination with the Transportation Agency is essential to finalize the transportation system and activate the Aimas Main Market. Abstract

Education today is driven to adapt to the demands of the modern era, particularlythrough the integration of technology into the learning process. The implementation of digital-based binary number learning provides students with a foundational understanding for developing programs, games, and even simple electronic circuits. This approach encourages students to innovate and be creative in designing technology products based on binary numbers—0 and 1. This study was conducted at SMP Cinta Kasih in Sorong City. The researcher carried out classroom observations and collaborated with the teacher to design and implement this learning model for Grade 8 students. A quantitative research method was employed. Digital-based learning was implemented using the Tinkercad application. Data were collected from students’ performance scores, which were compiled into an assessment rubric and conducted through group activities. The findings indicate that the students’ final mean score was 79.769, which falls into the “competent” category. This suggests that students at SMP Cinta Kasih possess adequate competence in applying digital-based binary number concepts.
