Abstract

This research aims to examine the difference in improving mathematical problem solving abilities in the System of Linear Equations Two Variables material for students who applied the Problem Based Learning model and students who applied the Direct Instruction model. This research uses a quasi-experimental method, with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects in this research were 20 students in class VIIIA as the control class and 20 students in class VIIIB as the experimental class. Both classes are homogeneous and the same. Gain data analysis using the t-test concluded that there was a difference in the increase in the mathematical problem solving abilities of SPLDV material for students who applied the Problem Based Learning model and students who applied the Direct Instruction model. The results of the analysis of the level of students' mathematical problem solving abilities that apply the problem based learning model in the experimental class can be seen from the achievement of the KKM. Where 85% of students have been able to reach the KKM, while 15% of students are still below the KKM. This shows that the application of the problem based model has a better influence on increasing students' mathematical problem solving abilities

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui perbedaan. Hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) lebih dari hasil belajar model Pembelajaran Langsung (PL) materi Perbandingan. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi komparatif dengan, desain posttest only control group design, dan menggunakan metode quasi experiment. Subjek penelitian ini ada 18 siswa dikelas VIIA adalah kelas eksperimen dan 17 siswa dikelas VIIB adalah kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen diterapkan model PMRI, sedangkan, pada kelas kontrol diterapkan model PL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen: 83,44, sedangkan, nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol: 74,76. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji perbedaan rata-rata dua kelompok tidak berpasangan dengan taraf signifikasi 5%, hasil pengujian menyimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model PMRI, lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajar dengan model PL, pada materi Perbandingan

Abstract

Tilapia is a freshwater animal that is always in contact with the aquatic environment so that it is easily infected by bacteria through water. This study aims to identify the types of bacteria that cause diseases that attack Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) kept in Dimembe District, North Minahasa Regency. This study uses a descriptive exploratory research method. The results of the study found sixteen isolates and identified them as bacteria that cause Tilapia disease in North Minahasa Regency, including Aeromonas sp. (4 isolates), Plesiomonas sp. (5 isolates), and Enterobacter sp. (1 isolate). based on morphological characteristics (colonies and bacterial cells) and biochemical (catalase, oxidase and motility tests). It was found that periodic and continuous fish disease surveillance is needed to monitor the spread of fish diseases, especially Tilapia disease in North Minahasa

Abstract

The ability to think mathematically is a basic need in solving various problems in every aspect of human life, including learning mathematics. However, in reality there are several obstacles in learning mathematics, one of which is student difficulties in learning mathematics which has an impact on student learning achievement. From the results of interviews conducted by researchers at SMP Negeri 2 Langowan involving mathematics teachers and several students, it turns out that there are still many students who make mistakes in solving mathematics problems. Students still have difficulty in understanding how to solve mathematical problems (problem solving). This research was conducted in Class VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Langowan, Minahasa Regency with the subjects in this study were students of class VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Langowan 2023/2024. For data collection techniques used in this study include written tests, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the percentage of students who mastered the material of one variable linear equation was 60%, the percentage of students who did not master the material of one variable linear equation was 30% and the percentage of students who did not master the material of one variable linear equation was 10%.

Abstract

This research examines the effect of electrolyte testing practical equipment integrated with the inquiry learning model on students' science process skills. This research used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 30 students at MAK Madani Manado. The research results showed a significant increase in students' science process skills, with an average pretest score of 52.48 and posttest of 86.69. This increase reflects the effectiveness of using inquiry-based practical tools in improving skills in observing, classifying, formulating hypotheses, designing experiments, processing data and drawing conclusions. Inquiry learning allows students to participate in the scientific process actively, develop critical thinking skills, and solve problems. These findings positively contribute to creating more innovative and contextual chemistry learning strategies and can be a solution to overcoming limited laboratory facilities in schools

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning pada materi pewarisan sifat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-experimen dengan rancangan one group pre-test post-test. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa di SMP Negeri 8 SATAP Tondano, sedangkan sampel penelitian adalah kelas IX yang berjumlah 17 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Analisis data aktivitas belajar siswa dilakukan dengan rumus persentase dan analisis hasil belajar siswa dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus N-Gain dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa pada pertemuan pertama dengan nilai rata-rata 65,8% dengan kategori aktif, pertemuan kedua dengan nilai rata-rata 73,44% dengan kategori aktif, dan pertemuan ketiga dengan nilai rata-rata 81,94% dengan kategori sangat aktif. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada materi pewarisan sifat memperoleh nilai pre-test 43,53 dan post- test 77,35. Hasil uji-t diperoleh thitung > ttabel (6,162 > 1,745) sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model problem based learning berpengaruh pada hasil belajar siswa dan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa di kelas IX SMP Negeri 8 SATAP Tondano

Abstract

This study examines the application of two different learning models in learning matrix operation mathematics at SMK N 1 Touluaan. This research used experimental method with pretest-posttest experiment group design, involving two randomly selected classes with the number of samples of each class of 20 students and the experimental class applied Problem-Based Learning and the control class applied direct learning. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students taught using the Problem-Based Learning model and students taught using the direct learning model. In this study using the t-test to test the data, with the results of the value of t_hitung = 3.239041637> t_tabel = 1.68595 with a real level α = 0.05 this means reject H_0 and accept H_1. The Problem-Based Learning model is proven effective in improving student learning outcomes on matrix operation material.

Abstract

Skipjack Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis L.) is a pelagic fish that dominates the waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. This fish has unique physical characteristics, including an aerodynamic body, a metallic blue or teal back, and transverse stripes that distinguish it from other species. In Indonesia, skipjack tuna is abundant in the waters of Manado and Maluku. This study aims to determine the types of bacteria present in processed skipjack tuna floss (abon cakalang) based on morphological and physiological characteristics through biochemical tests. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach conducted in a laboratory setting. Data were gathered through direct observation of samples undergoing various tests and subsequently presented in a descriptive manner. Based on the identification data, 30 bacterial isolates were found in the processed skipjack tuna floss. The isolates were identified macroscopically and microscopically. The findings of the study reveal that the bacteria found in processed skipjack tuna floss, based on biochemical tests and profile matching, are suspected to belong to the Staphylococcus and Vibrio genera.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the compulsory subjects that students take at school. Mathematics is still something that is difficult for students to learn. For this reason, it is important to modify fun and interactive learning activities in the classroom with the use of applications. There are many applications that can be used to support mathematics learning activities. One application that can be used in wordwall. Wordwall is a teaching tool or media that teachers can use to make learning more interesting and interactive in the classroom. This Research was carried out at Cinta Kasih elementary School, Sorong City. Researchers carried out observations and guided teachers in using the wordwall application so that it was applied to grade 5 students. The research method used was quantitative research. This research was carried out with classroom action research planning, namely the researcher supervised the teacher in the learning process in the classroom using the wordwall application. Data collection in the form of data on student activity in the class in group, knowledge, skills. The research result show that students have an average score in the range of 76 – 79, which mean they are good at following the mathematics learning process in classwith the help of the wordwall application.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada Materi Sifat-sifat Cahaya di SMP Negeri 8 SATAP Tondano. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimental design dengan pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VII yang berjumlah 13 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif fluency siswa dengan menerapkan model problem based learning diperoleh skor rata-rata secara klasikal yaitu 0,93 kategori kurang kreatif dan secara individual dengan kriteria kurang kreatif, sedangkan kemampuan berpikir flexibility siswa secara klasikal diperoleh skor rata-rata yaitu 0,60 kategori kurang kreatif dan secara individual dengan kriteria kurang kreatif dan untuk kemampuan berpikir origanility secara klasikal sebesar 1,05 kategori cukup kreatif dan secara individual dengan kriteria cukup kreatif
