Abstract

ABSTRACT: This research explores the effectiveness of the Stress Inoculation Training (SIT) technique, assisted by Instagram Reels, in reducing stress levels among students completing their thesis at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Completing a thesis is often a stressful academic challenge, potentially affecting students' mental health. To help students manage their stress and negative thoughts, this study introduces motivational content on Instagram Reels as part of the SIT intervention. The study aims to: (1) assess students' stress levels before using the SIT technique, (2) assess stress levels after the intervention, and (3) evaluate the effectiveness of the SIT technique assisted by Instagram Reels in reducing stress. Using a quantitative, descriptive approach, the study sampled 56 students from a population of 130.  he data collection technique in this study used documentation and questionnaires with a total of 25 statements for the variable (y) which had been tested for validity rcount> rtable with a range of rcount values of 0.521-0.871 and rtable 0.3415. The data analysis technique uses the wilxocon test. The results showed that the known significance value for 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that the hypothesis in this study is accepted. This means that there is a significant influence, meaning that the Stress Inoculation Training (SIT) technique has a significant influence on student resilience.

Abstract

This study aims to find out about the understanding of students and high school students in the city of Bogor, so that the results of this study can provide an overview to schools, especially to guidance and counseling teachers so that the service programs that are prepared can help schools reduce the level of bullying behavior of students in high schools in the city of Bogor. The results of this study can also provide education to students about which behaviors are included in bullying behavior. The research method used by the author is a quantitative method with a descriptive research type by collecting data through questionnaires distributed to students in the city of Bogor. The data and data sources of this study are 395 high school students in the city of Bogor using survey techniques. The instrument used for this study is a questionnaire describing bullying behavior. Data processing is done by scoring the questionnaire results of the research respondents' answers. The researcher concluded that the description of bullying behavior that the actions considered as physical bullying shown above are known to have the highest frequency of answers being strongly disagree, this means that respondents agree that they will not do things according to the statements in each variable proposed regarding physical bullying.

Abstract

Bullying behavior is aggressive behavior that aims to hurt other people both physically and verbally. This research examines the effect of group guidance services using brainstorming techniques on the bullying behavior of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Sentolo Kulon Progo. Using a quantitative experimental approach, this research involved 20 students selected by purposive sampling from a total population of 179 students. Data was collected through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, and analyzed using the independent sample T test with the SPSS version 27.0.1 program. The results showed that the experimental group had a higher posttest score (132.20) than the control group (92.80), with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, the working hypothesis which states that there is an influence of group guidance services using brainstorming techniques on the bullying behavior of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Sentolo Kulon Progo for the 2024/2025 academic year is "accepted".

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan seberapa pentingnya bimbingan orang tua dalam membentuk keagamaan pada anak sejak dini. Keagamaan pada penelitian ini berfokus pada bimbingan shalat yang diberikan orang tua kepada anak. Shalat merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dan wajib dalam kehidupan setiap muslim/muslimah. Bimbingan orang tua dalam mengarahkan dan membiasakan anak agar terbiasa untuk melaksanakan keagamaan ini sebagai dasar membentuk manusia yang bertuhan.  Di mana peneliti melakukan pengumpulan data dengan mengumpulkan beberapa literatur berupa dokumen, buku, jurnal/artikel, dan lain sebagainya. Berdasarkan kecukupan data yang diperoleh peneliti metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur. Teknik Analisis data dilakukan dari berbagai data yang telah diperoleh menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan cara mendeskripsikan fakta-fakta kemudian dianalisis dan diuraikan serta memberikan pemahaman dan penjelasan secukupnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan orang tua dalam membentuk keagamaan atau pemahaman anak dengan agama yang dia anut sangatlah penting dalam kehidupannya sehari-hari sebagai seorang manusia yang bertuhan, bimbingan orang tua dalam membiasakan anak untuk melakukan shalat adalah sesuatu hal krusial yang akan menjadi ketauladanan dan bekal mereka baik di dunia maupun akhirat nanti.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether behavioral counseling combined with self-management techniques can increase the self-awareness of academic staff at Universitas Panji Sakti. The hypothesis proposed is that if behavioral counseling with self-management techniques is applied effectively, the self-awareness of academic staff will increase. This study uses a Counseling Guidance Action Research (CGAR) approach in two cycles, which consists of the stages of identification, diagnosis, prognosis, counseling, evaluation, and reflection. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 14 academic staff who showed self-awareness and needed improvement based on the initial assessment. The research instruments included questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The validity test was carried out through content validity with an item correlation above 0.70, while the reliability test used Alpha Cronbach with a value of 0.85. The results showed an increase in self-awareness from Cycle I to Cycle II. In Cycle I, 12 out of 14 academic staff increased from 79.8% to 88.6%, with an average increase of 8.8%. The five staff members who did not meet the completion criteria continued to Cycle II, increasing from 80.5% to 88.3% and an average increase of 7.9%. Although two staff members have not reached the "very good" category, the overall success indicator has exceeded 85%. These findings indicate that the self-management technique of behavioral counseling is effective in increasing the self-awareness of academic staff. With the systematic approach of PTBK, interventions can be carried out in stages and evaluated to ensure their effectiveness.

Abstract

The development of technology and information has a significant impact on various aspects of human life, one of which is the field of education. Schools are becoming more adaptive to address these technological developments, including in guidance and counseling services. Guidance and counseling teachers must strive to select more innovative media to keep up with technological progress. In guidance and counseling services, website-based interactive press serves as a solution to address these challenges. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to measure the satisfaction level of website-based interactive media for guidance and counseling services, aiming to understand the level of satisfaction with the website used. The research method employed is a descriptive quantitative approach. Based on the results of the study conducted on a total sample of 35 students, 17% (6 students) are in the low category, 57% (20 students) are in the medium category, and 26% (9 students) are in the high category. It is concluded that the majority of students have a level of satisfaction that falls in the medium category when utilizing website-based interactive media as a means of guidance and counseling.

Abstract

Adolescent depression has emerged as a significant mental health challenge in the digital era, driven by excessive social media exposure, cyberbullying, identity crises, and weakened interpersonal relationships. These conditions demand a holistic counseling approach that integrates psychological, ethical, and spiritual dimensions. This study examines the prophetic hadith as a foundational framework for developing a humanistic Islamic counseling model in addressing adolescent depression. Employing a qualitative research design based on library research, this study applies a thematic (maudhu'i) analysis of selected hadiths related to emotional well-being, hope, patience, compassion, social support, and the prohibition of despair. The findings reveal that the Prophet Muhammad, PBUH, emphasized psychological balance, empathy, positive coping strategies, and communal responsibility as essential elements in maintaining mental health. Values ​​such as rahmah (compassion), sabr (patience), tawakkal (trust in God), and emotional self-regulation are shown to be highly relevant to contemporary adolescent counseling practices. From this perspective, Islamic counseling grounded in hadith does not promote spiritual escapism but rather encourages active resilience, self-awareness, and social connectedness. The study argues that a humanistic counseling model rooted in prophetic teachings can serve as a preventive and curative approach to adolescent depression in the digital age. This research contributes to the development of Islamic counseling discourse, enriches hadith studies with mental health perspectives, and offers an alternative ethical framework for addressing youth depression in modern society.

Abstract

This research is titled The Implementation of Individual Counseling Based on Islamic Principles in Developing the Spiritual Intelligence of Client' X'. The background of this study lies in the importance of developing spiritual intelligence for converts to Islam (muallaf) who are undergoing a transitional phase in their faith, especially in facing emotional, social, and spiritual challenges. Client 'X' is a 40-year-old man who recently embraced Islam and is experiencing various crises, such as family conflict, psychological pressure, and doubts about living his new life as a Muslim. This study explores how implementing individual counseling based on Islamic principles can develop the spiritual intelligence of client 'X'. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that individual counseling based on Islamic values, integrating teachings from the Qur'an and Hadith, is highly effective in enhancing the client's spiritual intelligence. The client developed greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, a sense of life purpose, and attitudes of patience, empathy, and acceptance of Allah's decree. Spiritual activities such as prayer and dhikr became more structured and meaningful in the client's daily life. This study concludes that implementing Islamic-based individual counseling positively assists converts in facing life's challenges and developing their spiritual intelligence. The results can serve as a reference for counselors, educators, and Islamic guidance practitioners in providing more holistic and meaningful support to converts.

Abstract

WordPress is a website-based platform that can be used to manage, store, and distribute various types of content with a simple, appealing, and easily accessible interface, as long as the location has an internet connection. With the convenience offered by WordPress, it is necessary to have skills in using this platform to optimise guidance and counselling services that can be accessed by counselees anywhere. Through this platform, counselees can access various guidance and counselling services as well as educational content that can enhance individual potential. The purpose of this training is to improve counsellors’ competence in utilising WordPress for guidance and counselling services. A total of 19 counsellors participated in the activity. To measure the effectiveness of the training, an instrument titled “Evaluation of Counselors’ Competency Improvement in the Use of WordPress” was used. Data analysis was conducted using Excel, Google Forms, and SPSS. The results of the training showed that counsellors’ competence increased, with a pretest–posttest difference of 47.053 and a significance value of 0.000.

Abstract

Zakat is a central pillar of the Islamic socio-economic system aimed at promoting social justice and human well-being. In Malaysia, zakat research has traditionally focused on institutional governance and distribution efficiency. However, recent studies increasingly explore the human impact of zakat, particularly from psychosocial and behavioral perspectives. This study synthesizes recent zakat research in Malaysia by examining the psychosocial and behavioral dimensions associated with zakat recipients, zakat payers, and zakat institutions. Using a qualitative literature review approach, this study analyzed 20 empirical and conceptual articles published between 2021 and 2025. Relevant studies were identified through database searches in Google Scholar, Scopus-indexed journals, and regional academic databases using keywords related to zakat, psychosocial well-being, zakat compliance behavior, and zakat institutions in Malaysia. The selected studies were screened for titles, abstracts, and full texts before being coded and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal four dominant themes in the literature: psychosocial well-being of zakat recipients (asnaf), psychological determinants of zakat payment behavior, counseling and psychosocial support within zakat institutions, and innovation in zakat distribution systems. The analysis shows that research on zakat payment compliance remains dominant, while studies examining psychosocial recovery and empowerment among zakat recipients remain limited. In addition, counseling-based interventions within zakat institutions are still rarely examined empirically. These findings suggest the need for more holistic zakat research that integrates economic, psychological, social, and spiritual perspectives. Future studies should explore intervention-based models and empowerment-oriented approaches to strengthen zakat's role in sustainable human development.
