Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the effects of the work environment, supervision, and compensation on employee performance, with work discipline as an intervening variable, at the Religious Courts in Gorontalo Province. This research employed a census sampling method, involving 120 respondents, and used path analysis for data evaluation. The results of the path analysis show that the work environment can enhance performance through work discipline, whereas supervision does not have a significant indirect effect on performance through work discipline, indicating that work discipline does not mediate the relationship between supervision and employee performance. Conversely, compensation has a positive and significant effect on performance through work discipline, indicating that fair compensation, supported by high work discipline, can further improve employee performance. These findings emphasize the importance of creating a conducive work environment, providing fair compensation, and implementing effective supervision to enhance discipline and performance among employees in the Religious Courts of Gorontalo Province.

Abstract

MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) face big challenges in maintaining competitiveness amidst increasingly competitive market dynamics. The main problem faced is the low adoption of innovation and technology, which often impacts customer satisfaction levels. This research aims to understand the role of innovation and technology in increasing customer satisfaction as the key to the success of MSMEs. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with 20 MSME owners in the food and beverage sector as well as field observations of the operational and marketing strategies they implemented. Data analysis was carried out thematically to identify main patterns related to innovation, technology and their impact on customer satisfaction. The research results show that the application of digital technology, such as the use of e-commerce applications and social media for marketing, can significantly improve customer experience. In addition, innovation in the form of product development, service personalization, and more flexible interaction strategies has been proven to strengthen customer loyalty. The findings also show that MSME players who actively adapt to technological changes have greater opportunities to create added value for customers. This research concludes that innovation and technology play a crucial role in building strong relationships with customers and increasing their satisfaction. Recommendations are given to MSMEs to be more proactive in integrating technology into their business strategy and developing innovations that are relevant to market needs. This research also provides practical insights for policy makers in supporting the digital transformation of MSMEs.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and determine the influence of financial literacy and peers on financial behavior with lifestyle as a mediating variable (Study of students at the Indonesian Institute of Business and Economics). The population of this study was 821 IBE Indonesia students class 2021- 2024, the sampling technique used purposive sampling and the sample formula was Taro Yamane with an error rate of 5%, a sample of 268 respondents was obtained. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire from Google Form and the data analysis tool uses Smart PLS 4.0. The data analysis technique uses PLS-SEM. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that financial literacy has a positive influence on financial behavior. Apart from that, the existence of peer variables also has a significant positive impact on financial behavior. Financial literacy and peers also contribute positively and significantly to lifestyle. Finally, lifestyle plays a role in mediating the relationship between financial literacy and financial behavior, as well as between peers and financial behavior.

Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally altered the landscape of performance management in multinational companies. This research aims to analyze the implementation of digital-based performance management systems in multinational companies in Indonesia, focusing on the implementation process, critical success factors, and their impact on evaluation effectiveness and employee productivity. Using a qualitative approach with library research methods, this study analyzes various primary and secondary literature sources from 2019-2024. The results indicate that implementing digital performance management systems requires a gradual and structured approach, considering technological aspects, human resources, and organizational culture. Critical success factors include technological infrastructure maturity, employee digital competency, effective change management, and consistent leadership support. Digital system implementation results in significant improvements in performance evaluation accuracy, process efficiency, transparency, and employee productivity. This research provides theoretical and practical contributions to the development of digital HR management in the digital transformation era.

Abstract

The development of promotional media has now entered the digital era that can communicate promotions more widely and quickly. In Indonesia, the phenomenon of online media that is anticipated to replace print media also continues to increase. As done by the New Student Admissions Team (PMB) of Merdeka Madiun University in accepting new students, they provide information about many things, such as registration procedures, achievements, and what can be obtained when registering for the campus. Various methods used by them, one of which is by conveying information through advertisements. Through this advertisement, the PMB Team promotes the university to the public. The purpose of making the advertisement is so that the public obtains information and is interested in following and trying what is advertised, namely doing or registering themselves related to what is being advertised. Advertisements use language that is easy to understand and persuasive to attract people who see it. In addition, advertisements are made using video and sound visualizations that are packaged very attractively according to the target market to be achieved, namely prospective new students who are included in generation Z and generation alpha.

Abstract

Abstract           This study aims to examine the effect of e-promotion on customer satisfaction and purchasing decisions, the effect of e-word of mouth on customer satisfaction and purchasing decisions, and the role of customer satisfaction as an intervening variable in the relationship. In addition, this study also examines the effect of e-promotion and e-word of mouth on purchasing decisions through customer satisfaction. The research subjects were Facetology skincare customers. The sample was determined using a non-probability sampling technique with the Hair formula approach, resulting in 100 respondents. Data analysis involved tests of convergent validity, discriminant validity, reliability, R-square, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that e-promotion has a positive effect on customer satisfaction and purchasing decisions. A well-designed digital promotion is able to enhance the customer experience while encouraging them to purchase the product. E-word of mouth also has a positive influence on customer satisfaction and purchase decisions, which means that reviews or recommendations from others can reinforce positive perceptions of the product. Furthermore, customer satisfaction was shown to partially mediate the effect of e-promotion on purchasing decisions, as well as the effect of e-word of mouth on purchasing decisions. This research confirms that e-promotion and e-word of mouth are important marketing strategies that not only increase customer satisfaction, but also contribute to increased purchase decisions, with customer satisfaction as a key factor in this process.

Abstract

Regional Drinking Water Company (Perumda) Tirtanadi Diski Branch operates in the clean water supply industry, not only plays a role in meeting the basic needs of the community, but also contributes to sustainable development and public health. Marketing strategy is the first step before carrying out marketing activities. Marketing strategy is a fundamental element in the success of an organisation, especially in an era of increasingly complex global competition. Marketing is not only limited to promotional activities, but involves a deep understanding of consumer needs, appropriate product design, effective distribution, and efforts to create sustainable value. Marketing is not only considered a function, but also a strategic business concept. Therefore, marketing strategy must consider all environmental factors, both internal and external, that affect the company. This study aims to analyse the marketing strategies implemented by Perumda Tirtanadi Diski Branch in providing clean water services to the community, as well as identify the obstacles faced in its implementation. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data was collected through observation, interviews with marketing staff, and analysis of internal company documents. The results showed that Perumda Tirtanadi implements a customer relationship-based marketing strategy with a community-based approach and local promotions, which effectively increases customer loyalty. However, the main challenges faced include limited distribution infrastructure, limited budget, competition with alternative water sources, and lack of public awareness regarding the importance of water conservation. This research suggests that Perumda Tirtanadi should improve its infrastructure, increase its community education campaigns, and find solutions to optimise its budget and face competition. With more innovative and responsive marketing strategies, Perumda Tirtanadi can strengthen its position as a reliable and affordable water provider for the community.

Abstract

With the growth of the times greatly affecting information technology, so companies must understand and be quick in taking action. Therefore, companies must also be more innovative by changing the way they work and adjusting to the rapid growth of information technology systems. With the development of the times that continues to grow, the role of information technology is growing, especially for users to simplify their work by utilising the technology. The use of a system that is suitable for the times will now provide benefits for employees because it can increase creativity, improve employee performance and improve the quality of the company's work so that the management of the company's system development can be carried out more efficiently and effectively.Information systems that are processed simply, systemized and tight can be used by users better, especially about personal information. In the information system there is software called SAP (System Application and Product) which is owned by the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. This study discusses the application of SAP (System Application and Product) at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional III, Kebun Air Molek - 1, and sees its effect on employee performance in the human resources section. Along with the continuous development of information technology, the business world needs to implement a system that can increase productivity and efficiency.  The analysis method used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis, where interviews, observations, literature studies and documentation are used as data collection techniques. This research shows the results that the implementation of SAP with the support of training and good online infrastructure will facilitate employee data management, increase efficiency and speed in business activities and can improve maximum employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership on improving employee efficiency and productivity at the Medan City DPRD Secretariat. The method used was descriptive qualitative analysis, focusing on relevant documents, including employee performance reports, organizational policies, and meeting notes. The data obtained from these documents provided insight into the leadership practices implemented and their impact on employee performance. The results showed that transformational leadership plays an important role in improving employee efficiency and productivity. Document analysis revealed that leaders who applied this leadership style succeeded in creating a supportive work environment, increasing employee motivation, and strengthening commitment to organizational goals. In addition, documents also show an increase in employee performance in line with the application of transformational leadership principles. The findings provide strategic implications for management development at the Medan City DPRD Secretariat, emphasizing the importance of applying transformational leadership to achieve better results in employee performance. Therefore, it is recommended that leaders in this environment continue to develop inspirational and supportive leadership styles.

Abstract

Public information disclosure is an important aspect of good governance. Law No. 14 Year 2008 on Indonesian Public Information Disclosure limits the public's right to obtain information on public policies. As a regional legislative body, the Medan City Council is expected to optimise the use of information technology, especially websites, as a tool to provide information to the public. This research aims to analyse the use of DPRD's website in providing information to the public. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with interviews and observations. The results show that the Medan City DPRD website contains various information, such as meeting agendas, decisions, and activity reports. However, there are some shortcomings regarding data update and ease of access. The public has difficulty getting the latest information because some important documents are not updated regularly. In addition, the public is less engaged in providing comments or questions, despite the availability of the DPRD website. Many people are not aware of the interaction features available on the website, such as the discussion forum or complaints column. Public participation should be encouraged through digital platforms to increase public involvement in the decision-making process. This research recommends regular content updates, presentation of more interesting information, and public education on website features to increase engagement. From an Islamic management perspective, accountability and transparency are key to building public trust. The application of Islamic management principles such as tawhid, amanah, justice, transparency and responsibility is expected to improve the effectiveness of public services and strengthen the relationship between DPRD and the community. Optimisation of the website as a platform for interaction and delivery of clear and accurate information is essential to achieve these goals.
