Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa pada materi termokimia di kelas XI MIPA SMAN 3 Mataram. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMAN 3 Mataram. Pemilihan atau pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran konvensional dan kelas XI IPA 6 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode sebagai berikut: (1) angket dan (2) observasi. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan uji Independent Sample T-test menunjukkan bahwa thitung (2,16) > ttabel (1,67) pada taraf signifikan 5% yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh positif terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa pada materi termokimia kelas XI SMAN 3 Mataram.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the level of validity and practicality of the POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) based chemistry electronic module on coloid system subject. The study is a Research and Development study which adopts the 4D model (define, design, develop, disseminate). The study population was XI-IPA students of SMAN 5 Mataram in the academic year of 2022/2023 while the sample of this research was 70 students who were taken randomly. The results of the research indeed indicate a very positive outcome. The developed POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) based chemistry electronic module on coloid system subject, has achieved high validity (feasibility) with a score of 0.79 in the valid category. Additionally, the practicality level, as measured by student responses, is very high with a practicality percentage of 84.5%. This leads to the conclusion that the developed e-module is both suitable and practical for use in the learning process. These findings underscore the quality and effectiveness of the e-module in assisting students in gaining a better understanding of chemistry materials.

Abstract

This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach aimed at describing the scientific literacy abilities of prospective chemistry teacher students on reaction rate. This research involved 50 students as samples with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The data collection technique uses a test instrument similar to PISA based on scientific literacy which is analyzed using descriptive statistics. From there validator the instrument of validity obtained was 0.803 for the content aspect and 0.747 for the language aspect and the reliability score obtained was 0.65 with high information. Based on the research results obtained, each aspect of scientific literacy received a low category. The results of this research indicate that the science literacy skill of the pre-service chemistry teacher students still need to be improved so that each indicator reaches sufficient numbers and overall scientific literacy abilities become better. Students' science literacy skill were obtained from four aspects of science literacy skill, including the knowledge aspect (34.86%), the context aspect (68.86%), the competency aspect (52.26%), and the attitude aspect (75.1%) so that it was obtained the average science literacy skill of the pre-service chemistry teacher students in the overall reaction rate is 57.78% in the low category.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of the Islamic boarding school environment on the chemistry learning outcomes of students at MA NW Narmada. Utilizing a quantitative approach, the study targeted a population of 105 class XII students, with a sample of 50 students selected through random sampling using the Slovin formula. Data collection instruments included questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Islamic boarding school environment significantly influences students' chemistry learning outcomes, as evidenced by an f-table value of 10.59 > 4.05 and a significance value of 0.002 (< 0.05). Additionally, the study highlights that environmental indicators at the boarding school are categorized as very good for the social environment, good for the non-social environment, and good for student activities. The boarding school environment contributes an 18% influence on chemistry learning outcomes, distributed across social environment indicators (6.74%), non-social environment (5.52%), and student activities (5.74%).

Abstract

This research aims to identify students' learning difficulties in class XI MIPA chemistry learning at MAN 2 Mataram. This study is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population of this research was 285 students and distributed to 8 classes. The total sample of 74 students was obtained using simple random sampling method. The data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed by applying a percentage formula, complemented by an in-depth explanation of the responses provided by the interviewed respondents. The research results showed that students' learning difficulties were into the high category. Students experience difficulties with internal factors (74%), which include physical and mental conditions (80%) as well as motivation and interests (67.5%). Furthermore, learning implementation factors (74%) include teacher explanations (76.5%), student participation (74%), and assignments (71.4%). Lastly, external factors (75%) include economic difficulties (86.4%), support from the environment and family (71%), and support from the school (78.6%). Hence, the aforementioned factors contributed to the learning difficulty among class XI MIPA students at MAN 2 Mataram.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of learning difficulties and describe the factors that cause learning difficulties of grade XII students of SMAN 1 Masbagik on acid-base material. The research method used was qualitative descriptive with a population of 102 students from classes XII F3, XII F4, and XII F5. The research sample was taken using a saturated sampling method, and data was collected through test questions and questionnaires. The results showed that; 1) The level of difficulty of learning acid-base students in mastery of concepts by 58% in the category is quite difficult, linking relationships between concepts by 67% in the difficult category and applying formulas for solving problems by 80% in the difficult category. 2) The level of learning difficulty of students due to internal factors is mostly (47%) in the very low category. The level of student learning difficulty is due to the aspect of interest with the highest percentage of 70% in the low category, because the motivation aspect with the highest percentage of 53% in the category is quite high, and because the health aspect with the highest percentage of 56% in the category is very low. 3) The level of learning difficulty of students due to external factors is mostly (70%) in the low category. The level of learning difficulty of students is due to the school aspect with the highest percentage of 51% in the low category, because of the material aspect with the highest percentage of 56% in the low category, because of the family aspect with the highest percentage of 48% in the low category, and because of the community aspect with the highest percentage of 43% in the very high category.

Abstract

This research is a research and development e-module project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students with the theme of a sustainable lifestyle. This research was carried out from March to July 2024 at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu City, with research subjects namely 31 class XA students. This research aims to determine the level of feasibility of e-modules and student responses to e-modules. This development uses a 4-D development model (define, design, development, and disseminate) which is limited to the development stage. The instruments in this research were interview sheets, student needs questionnaires, validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. From the research results it is known that (1) the feasibility level of the e-module has a very feasible category with a score of 93.8%, (2) the results of the student response test to the e-module received a score of 88.1% with a very good category. The e-module developed is equipped with explanations, images and videos which can be accessed using a smartphone connected to the internet network. Abstract

Thermochemistry, being an abstract subject closely connected to concrete examples, is often perceived as challenging by students. This research aims to evaluate the validity and assess the practicality level of a blended learning approach, structured on inquiry-based methods and facilitated through LMS Moodle, specifically applied to thermochemical material for phase F high school students. This type of research is Educational Design Research (EDR) with the Plomp model. This research product was validated by 5 validators, including three chemistry lecturers at FMIPA UNP and two chemistry teachers at SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung. The research findings indicate that the validity data, assessed using the Aiken's V scale with a score of 0.92, fall into the valid category. The practicality evaluation conducted by the chemistry teacher at SMAN 1 Lubuk achieved a score of 89.3%, which is classified as highly practical. The practicality carried out by nine students of SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung received a score of 87.1% which was categorized as very practical. Based on the results of this research, the structured inquiry-based blended learning system using Moodle LMS on thermochemical material for the F phase of high school can be categorized as valid and very practical.

Abstract

The concept of the mole is an abstract material that students consider difficult. This study aims to determine the validity and practicality of the flipped classroom learning system based on structured inquiry using LMS Moodle on the mole concept material for phase F of high school. This type of research is educational design research (EDR) with the Plomp model. The flipped classroom learning system based on structured inquiry using LMS Moodle on the mole concept material was validated by 5 validators, namely 3 chemistry lecturers from FMIPA UNP and 2 chemistry teachers from SMAN 2 Padang. The study's results showed a value of 0.93 with a valid category. The practicality of 2 chemistry teachers from SMAN 2 Padang was 97.7% with a very practical category. The practicality of 9 students from SMAN 2 Padang was 90.5% with a very practical category. The results of the study of the flipped classroom learning system based on structured inquiry using LMS Moodle on the mole concept material for phase F of high school have been valid and practical.

Abstract

Chemistry education in schools often focuses on memorizing theoretical concepts that are challenging to connect with daily life, reducing student interest and engagement in the learning process. This requires an approach that enhances learning relevance and fosters critical thinking skills. This study aims to examine the implementation of constructivist theory through Problem-Based Learning (PBL) integrated with ethnoscience in chemistry education. This approach encourages students to actively participate in learning and relate chemistry concepts to local cultural contexts. A systematic literature review was conducted, analyzing relevant studies from 2019 to 2024, with a total of 11 articles descriptively analyzed. Results indicate that ethnoscience-based PBL effectively improves various learning aspects, including critical thinking skills, learning engagement, and science literacy. The study concludes that this approach could serve as an effective strategy in chemistry education, especially in enhancing cultural relevance and contextual understanding in the learning process.
