Abstract

This research aims to develop Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on the STEM approach on energy material for 4th-grade elementary/middle school students in order to support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. The STEM approach was chosen because it is considered effective in integrating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to enhance 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. The method used is qualitative research with a Research and Development (RnD) approach, adapting the ADDIE model which consists of the stages of analysis, design, and development. The development process was carried out through learning needs analysis, the design of LKPD, and validation by experts in content, media, language, and STEM. The research results show that the developed LKPD has valid quality and can be applied in learning to enhance students' understanding of energy material with a contextual and interactive approach.

Abstract

Abstract

Reading comprehension is one of the keys to student success in following the learning process, but it provides great challenges that have the potential to cause problems for elementary school students. The purpose of this study is to develop, test the feasibility and test the effectiveness of smart booklet digital media using the story maps strategy to improve reading comprehension of grade III elementary school students. This research uses Sugiyono's Research and Development (R&D) method which is modified into 8 stages including potentials and problems; data collection; product design; design validation; design revision; product trials; product revision; and trial use. The results of the assessment of media experts of 95% and material experts of 95% of the criteria are very feasible. The results of the class teacher's response of 92.85% and the student's response of 94% of the criteria were very feasible. The media effectiveness test using the T test obtained a significance value of 0.000. The results of the N-Gain calculation obtained a value of 0.6219 medium criteria. Therefore, smart booklet digital media using the story maps strategy can be said to be very feasible and effective to be applied in improving reading comprehension.

Abstract

Dyslexia is a specific type of learning disability that has its origins in the functioning of the brain and cannot be explained by another diagnosis. It is characterized by reading difficulties that do not correspond to the child's age, intelligence or level of education. Children with learning disabilities generally experience concentration difficulties, memory problems and reading and writing difficulties. Dyslexic children face phonological difficulties: they have trouble recognizing letter sounds, associating letter names or symbols (graphemes) with the sounds they produce (phonetics), and dividing a word into its constituent sounds. This study therefore aims to determine the reading and writing profile of dyslexic students at SDN 2 Somoroto Ponorogo. This is qualitative research with an observational research design and a case study method of data collection. The sample used is 143 respondents and the sampling technique uses cluster sampling. The data analysis used was descriptive. The analysis identified 13 students with reading comprehension disorders, 2 students with dictation disorders and 1 student with dyslexia. The results indicate the need to pay particular attention to students with reading difficulties.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a collaboration-based Rampak Dance learning module to improve cultural literacy and social skills of elementary school students. The research approach used is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), which is carried out systematically from needs analysis to evaluation of module effectiveness. The study population included fourth and fifth grade students of SD Negeri Durung Banjar Candi Sidoarjo, with a sample of 30 students selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, which were then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the module was effective in improving students' understanding of local cultural values, with the average score of the questionnaire increasing from 60 to 92. In addition, students' social skills also improved significantly, as evidenced through statistical analysis using t test (p < 0.05). Teachers gave positive feedback on the implementation of this module, stating that the project-based method applied successfully increased student motivation and facilitated interactive learning. This study concludes that the ADDIE-based module is not only relevant to improve the quality of cultural arts learning at SD Negeri Durung Banjar Candi Sidoarjo, but can also be an innovative learning model for other schools with similar needs
