Abstract

This study aims to explore the numeracy literacy of students in ill-structured problem-solving on the matter of numbers. This study involved 34 students of the 4th grader in one Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Bandung. The research approach used is qualitative with the case study method. The type of data collected is test results about ill structured problem-solving. The data were collected from tests, document analysis, and interviews. After that, the data were analysed using thematic analysis, while the validity of data using triangulation, member checking, and reflexivity. The results of the research showthat students' numeracy literacy in ill structured problem-solving are (1) students are able to solve ill structured problem in the context of daily life; (2) students are able to analyze the information obtained from the problem then use the interpretation analysis to predict and draw conclusions. The difficulties experienced by students are (1) the difficulty in understanding the problem; (2) lack of students' understanding of the prerequisite material; (3) the difficulty in developing a settlement strategy; and (4) the difficulty in drawing conclusions.

Abstract

This research aims to find learning obstacles for students studying LCM and GCF as a reference in preparing teaching materials that can overcome these obstacles. This research involved 74 grade V students at three public schools in Bandung, Indonesia. The research method used in this study was case study research—data collection techniques using triangulation by providing tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusions. The results show three categories of learning obstacles: ontogenic, epistemological, and didactic. The ontogenic obstacle was found because the students understood multiples, factors, and arithmetic operations on natural numbers in solving LCM and GCF problems. Epistemological obstacles were discovered because of the limited context in which students understood the concepts of LCM and GCF, so they could not use them in contexts such as word problems. Didactical obstacles were found from learning that was given by the teacher procedurally using factoring methods, namely prime factorization or factor trees. Therefore, these obstacles must be anticipated by designing learning designs that can facilitate learning trajectories, focus on concepts, and make learning more meaningful.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' speaking skills using the Running Dictation learning model. This research was motivated by problems that had been discovered from the results of a preliminary study in the learning process when students spoke English. That the students' speaking skills do not meet the KKM set by the school, namely 75. The research method used is classroom action research (PTK) with three cycles in which each cycle contains two actions. The subjects of this research were 25 class VI students at MI Integrated Ar-Rifqi. The data collection techniques used are performance tests and observation. The speaking skills of class VI MI Integrated Ar-Rifqi students before being given action achieved 32% classical completeness in the poor category. After taking action in cycle I, an average score of 66 was obtained with classical completeness of 54%, in cycle II there was an increase with an average score of 74 with classical completeness of 71% and in cycle III the score was obtained. an average of 81 with a classical completion score of 84%. Based on classical completeness, overall this research has reached ≥75% of the number of students who achieved the KKM, namely 84%. Thus, it shows that students' speaking skills after implementing the Running Dictation model in English learning have improved.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil studi lapangan yang dilaksanakan peneliti melalui kegiatan observasi dan wawancara kepada guru kelas V adanya kendala dalam proses pembelajaran yang membuat siswa kesulitan dalam berpikir kritis yang disebabkan kurangnya model, metode dan media pembelajaran yang mendukung dalam proses pembelajaran. Model direct instruction dapat berbentuk metode ceramah, demontrasi, pelatihan atau praktik dan kerja kelompok serta metode scramble merupakan salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi dan kecepatan berpikir peserta didik. Metode ini juga mengharuskan peserta didik untuk menggabungkan otak kanan dan otak kiri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, tes wawancara dan dokumentasi. Objek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Margacinta 2 yang berjumlah 18 orang siswa. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pra siklus mendapat nilai rata-rata 36,5 dan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 5,56%. Gambaran proses pembelajaran menggunakan model direct interaction dengan metode scramble pada siklus I aktivitas guru memperoleh nilai 63% dan aktivitas siswa 63%. Siklus II aktivitas guru memperoleh nilai 81% dan aktivitas siswa 73%. Siklus III aktivitas guru 93% dan aktivitas siswa 79%. Lalu, pada siklus II siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata 62,27 dengan angka klasikal yaitu 33,33% dan pada siklus III siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata 71 dengan angka klasikal yang diperoleh yaitu 66,67%. Kemudian, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah pelaksanaan seluruh siklus melakukan tes akhir perolehan rata-rata yaitu 72,55 dengan siswa yang tuntas persentase sebesar 77,78% dan siswa yang tidak tuntas persentase sebesar 22,22%.

Abstract

Learning obstacles were found in students who studied LCM and GCF. This research aims to develop an initial design in the form of a hypothetical learning trajectory for LCM and GCF using the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explanation, and Create) learning model which is based on obstacles learning findings. This research is part of the design research method. The design research method consists of preliminary design, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis. The focus of this research is the preliminary design stage. Based on the results, it is known that students have difficulties in solving questions on LCM and GCF material, namely that students cannot use the concepts of LCM and GCF to solve problems, students tend to think that the concepts of LCM and GCF are only factor trees or procedural factorization, and students do not understand the concepts of LCM and GCF. To overcome these learning obstacles, a hypothetical learning trajectory for the LCM and GCF was prepared using the RADEC learning model which was divided into three meetings. The first meeting was about multiples, common multiple, and LCM. The second meeting was about factors, common factors, and GCF. The third meeting was regarding determining the LCM and GCF using prime factorization. Each learning flow from each meeting is described in the form of HLT which consists of learning objectives, learning activities, and student thinking estimates. The theoretical implications in this research are the new findings of HLT LCM and GCF with the RADEC learning model and practical implications in this research are that HLT can be used as a consideration for teachers in designing LCM and GCF learning by paying attention to students' learning trajectories.

Abstract

Based on preliminary studies by conducting tests, there are problems in class III MI Al-Musaa'adah Garut regarding the low cognitive outcomes of students in Indonesian language subjects. These problems occur because of the lack of varied learning models so that students are not actively involved in the learning process. Therefore, this study aims to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of students using the Quantum Learning model of memory techniques. This study used Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was conducted in IV cycles. This research was conducted in class III MI Al-Musaa'adah Garut with a total of 25 students. The data collection techniques used were tests and observations. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes. This can be proven in cycle I the average value of students is 59 with classical completeness of 48%, cycle II the average value of students is 59 with classical completeness of 36%, cycle III the average value of students is 69 with classical completeness of 60%, and in cycle IV the average value of students reaches 74 with classical completeness reaching 80%. This Classroom Action Research was completed because the average results of students reached ≥ 70 in accordance with the KKM and the classical completeness of students reached ≥ 70%. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Quantum Learning model of memory techniques can improve the cognitive learning outcomes of students in Indonesian language subjects in class III MI Al-Musaa'adah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari kerangka berfikir bahwa prestasi belajar siswa pada muatan pelajaran matematika yang selalu menjadi sorotan diantara muatan pelajaran lainnya. Rendahnya perhatian orang tua akan berdampak pada prestasi belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk  untuk  mengetahui  hubungan  antara  perhatian  orang  tua  dengan  prestasi  belajar  pada muatan matematika siswa kelas V SDN Sukapura 01. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian korelasional dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket dan dokumentasi. Adapun sampel penelitian adalah kelas V SDN Sukapura 01 yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Teknik analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu teknik   korelasi   bivariate   yang   diawali   dengan   uji   normalitas,  kemudian  uji   korelasi  serta menghitung koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara perhatian orang tua dengan prestasi belajar pada muatan pelajaran matematika siswa kelas V SDN Sukapura 01, hubungan tersebut berada pada kategori sedang atau cukup. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil perhitungan uji korelasi menggunakan rumus  rank spearman, dengan  signifikansi 5%  dan jumlah  responden 33, maka diperoleh nilai sig. sebesar 0,009. Kata kunci: Matematika, perhatian orang tua, prestasi belajar.   This research is motivated by the framework of thinking that student achievement in mathematics is always in the spotlight among other subjects. The low attention of parents will have an impact on student achievement. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between parental attention and learning achievement on the mathematics content of fifth grade students at SDN Sukapura 01. The research method used is correlational research method using a quantitative approach. The instruments used are questionnaires and documentation. The research sample was class V of SDN Sukapura 01, totaling 33 students. The analytical techniqu e used in this research is the bivariate correlation technique which begins with the normality test, then the correlation test and calculates the coefficient of determination. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between parental attention and learning achievement on the content of mathematics lessons for fifth graders at SDN Sukapura 01, the relationship was in the moderate or sufficient category. This can be seen from the results of the calculation of the correlation test using the Spearman rank formula, with a significance of 5% and the number of respondents 33, then the sig value is obtained. of 0.009. Abstract

This research aims to enhance Quran memorization ability specifically on Surah Al-Hujurat Ayat 13 at SDN 027 Cicadas, Bandung, using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. Classroom Action Research (CAR) method is employed. Results demonstrate improved learning outcomes in both Cycle I and Cycle II. By employing PBL, where students and teachers collaborate as facilitators, memorization skills among fourth-grade students significantly increased. The utilization of varied teaching methods beyond mere discussion enhances students' interest and motivation, leading to better memorization outcomes. The implementation of diverse and engaging teaching methods supports active, innovative, creative, and enjoyable learning (PAIKEM). Analysis reveals a notable improvement in memorization development, increasing from 70% in Cycle I to 87% in Cycle II. The diverse PBL approach tailored to student preferences enhances memorization abilities, supports memory retention, particularly in memorizing short verses like Surah Al-Hujurat.

Abstract

The preliminary reading comprehension test revealed that 25 students scored below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), while 3 students scored above it, with an average score of 51.15. This study aims to improve students’ reading comprehension using the Know-Want to Know-Learned (KWL) strategy, supported by series image media. A quasi-experimental design with a Nonequivalent Control Group was used, consisting of three groups: the first experimental group using KWL with series image media, the second experimental group using KWL, and the control group applying conventional methods. The ANOVA test showed a significant difference with a p-value of 0.004 (p < 0.05). The average posttest scores were 83.00 for the first experimental class, 80.47 for the second experimental class, and 74.30 for the control class. The n-gain scores indicated high categories for both experimental classes (0.78 and 0.75) and a medium category for the control class (0.68). These results suggest that the KWL strategy significantly enhances students’ reading comprehension.

Abstract

The emergence of society 5.0 promotes balance in all fields, especially education, and can provide a role in the progress of the learning process. The importance of students having digital literacy skills and competencies of prospective teachers is to have a critical and creative mindset for learning innovation in the classroom and be able to process information wise. The purpose of  this study is to see the ability of digital literacy and the competence of prospective teacher students and find out the influence of digital literacy on the competence of prospective teacher students in the era of society  5.0. The research uses a quantitative approach with a correlation method. The research population was all students of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Sunan Gunung Djati, with a sample of 1.132 students. The sampling technique uses random sampling. Data is collected through filling out questionnaires. The results of this study show that students are ready to face the era of society 5.0, marked by students being good at operating the internet to find  information and balanced by understanding the competence of the prospective teacher. There was a significant positive relationship between digital literacy and the competence of prospective teacher students and obtained an r count of 0.645 in the high category. It is shown that 41.6% of the competencies of prospective teachers are influenced by digital literacy and other unrelated factors with this study influence the remaining 58.4%.
