Abstract

This research is conducted to describe students’ activities during the implementation of problem-based learning in the topic of exponential number and logarithm and management of problem-based learning exponential number and logarithm by lecturer This research is a descrptive research, that is a research which has aim to describe research’s variables qualitatively and quantitatively. The topic that is used in this research is exponential number and logarithm. Subject of this research is students in PGSD Program, University of ijaya Kusuma Surabaya. Instrument of this research is observation sheet of students’ activities and observation sheet of the organising of problem-based learning by lecturer. The students’ activities and the organising of problem-based learning by the lecturer are collected as data. The data is analised descriptively. The result of this research shows that the students’activities and the effectivity are excellent. The result of this research also shows that the effectivity of the lecturer is good. Based on the result of this research, teachers or lecturers may apply this problem-based learning to make the learning process in class effective.

Abstract

This research aims to descibe the improvement of student learning result in learning science by implementation of discovery learning model at fifth grade of SDN Lelang, Banggai Subdistrict. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four steps namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The techniques of data collecting were test, interview, observation and documentation. The results showed that: (1) skill of teaching teacher in the first cycle 77,5% with good criteria and in second cycle obtained 86% with very good criteria; (2) student learning result in the first cycle 58,33% and the second cycle 83%. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that implementation of discovery learning model can improve Learning Result of Natural Science at Fifth Grade of SD N Lelang Banggai Subdistrict. Suggestions in this study was that:1) experimental methods could become as a teacher’s way to improve the quality of natural science learning in elementary school.2) in using discovery learning model, teacher have to follow stages well so that learning result can be successful.

Abstract

This research was conducted as a means of optimizing character education of elementary school students through PUL (Pop Up Large) media. This matter is basically associated with the reality that the elementary school students nowadays are able to make use of technology advancement, such as cellphone with sophisticated features along with easy internet access, yet they do not use it appropriately. The Curriculum 2013 focuses on teaching and learning activities for students (Student Center), accordingly, the students are required to be active in teaching and learning activities, in addition students are expected to have good ethics of public facilities in the surrounding environment. The lack of knowledge and insight towards the public facility around them has an impact on their unconcerned attitude. One type of media that is able to answer the problem is by using the PUL (Pop Up Large) media. This research used qualitative method, kuesioner was used as data collection techniques. The instrument for collecting data is kuesioner guidelines Data analysis was done descriptively using data analysis technique from Miles and Huberman model. The data analysis phase includes data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing / verification. The results showed that the implementation of PUL (Pop Up Large) media in elementary school students can improve the understanding of character education optimally.

Abstract

Indonesian language is the identity of the Indonesian nation. Indonesian lessons become a curriculum in primary education to higher education. The conventional learning system makes it difficult for students to understand the Indonesian language learning materials. In addition, students become less enthusiastic in learning because the learning process is only one way that is from the teacher who explained. Looking at the phenomenon, it takes an innovation in the process of learning Indonesian. The use of interactive educational media in the form of animation can be one way to increase students' reading interest and as a means of introducing information technology. Students can understand how to read the word or sentence Indonesian well and correctly. An attractive display with good visual audio is also one of the students' appeal. On the part of teachers, this interactive educational animation helps facilitate teachers in delivering Indonesian language material that is being discussed. The results to be achieved from making this educational media is improving the ability of students in reading and speak Indonesian well and correctly.

Abstract

Abstrack This aim of the research is to develop reading materials for skimming activity by using KWL strategy that was valid, practical, and effective. This research to solve to help the students understand the text in line with the phase of reading itself; before-, whilst-, and post-reading. in developing the material using 4D is to define, design, develop, and disseminate. Validation results with a 3.69 earned lesson plans are very valid category, and an average of 3.74 with a validity of the material is very valid category. Observations of the lesson plans obtained 85.67% categorized as very practical. Teacher response results obtained 97.50% and students 88.52% categorized as very practical. Activities students acquire 82,41% in trials and 86.61% in the deployment phase with very good category. The results of the activity of reading skimming gained 82.89% in the test and 85.42% in the deployment phase with very good category. Concluded that the reading material for skimming activity based KWL strategy is valid, practical, and effective. Keywords: teaching materials, skimming activty skills,KWL. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar membaca sekilas dengan menggunakan strategi KWL yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini untuk membantu siswa memahami teks sesuai dengan tahap pra, saat dan, pascabaca. Pengembangkan materi menggunakan desain 4D yaitu mendefinisikan, merancang, mengembangkan, dan menyebarluaskan. Hasil validasi rencana pelajaran diperoleh 3,69 dengan kategori sangat valid, dan rata-rata validitas materi adalah 3,74 dengan kategori sangat valid. Pengamatan keterlaksanaan rencana pembelajaran diperoleh 85,67% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Hasil respon guru terhadap bahan ajar memperoleh 97,50% dan siswa 88,52% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Persentase aktivitas siswa memperoleh 82,41% dalam uji coba dan 86,61% dalam tahap penyebaran dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil aktivitas membaca skimming memperoleh 82,89% dalam uji coba dan 85,42% pada tahap penyebaran dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil simpulannya yaitu bahan ajar untuk kegiatan skimming berdasarkan strategi KWL adalah valid, praktis, dan efektif. Kata kunci: bahan ajar, keterampilan membaca sekilas,KWL

Abstract

Tulisan ini mengkaji psikologi anak usia dini yang sudah dipertunangkan oleh orang tuanya pada usia dini karena alasan tako’ sangkal. Tako’ sangkal ini adalah salah satu mitos yang sangat diyakini oleh masyarakat di Kecamatan Pragaan Kabupaten Sumenep Madura. Hasil dari kajian ini adalah bahwa psikologi anak yang bertunangan di kecamatan Pragaan, sebagian remaja mampu mengatasi transisi ini dengan baik, namun beberapa remaja bisa jadi mengalami penurunan pada kondisi psikis, fisiologis, dan sosial. Beberapa permasalahan remaja yang muncul biasanya banyak berhubungan dengan karakteristik yang ada pada diri remaja. Perkembangan identitas partisipan yang mengalami pertunangan di masa muda, menjadi relatif lambat. Beberapa tugas perkembangan remaja yang nampaknya belum mampu dicapai dengan baik oleh beberapa partisipan diantaranya adalah, mampu mencapai peran sosial sebagai pria atau wanita. Siswa yang berstatus sebagai pelajar yang sedang bertuangan beberapa diantaranya belum mempunyai kematangan emosional. Siswa yang seharusnya mempunyai kewajiban sebagai pelajar dituntut utuk mampu mempersiapkan karir dan kehidupan pernikahan. Dalam hal ini beberapa partispant yang memjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini dipersepsikan pertunangan dini yang sudah menjadi tradisi dapat menghambat tugas-tugas perkembangan remaja pada umumnya.

Abstract

Motivasi merupakan salah satu terminologi yang penting dalam Ilmu Pendidikan, dan lebih khusus lagi dalam Psikologi Pendidikan. Dalam proses pembelajaran, motivasi bahkan merupakan tahapan atau fase pertama dari sejumlah tahapan yang berujung pada fase umpan balik. Motivasi merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi keefektifan kegiatan belajar siswa. Motivasilah yang mendorong siswa ingin melakukan kegiatan belajar. Dorongan ini akan memberikan dampak yang positif dalam proses pembentukan prestasi belajar siswa. Seperti agama Islam dimana selalu menganjurkan umatnya untuk belajar. Fungsi utama motivasi adalah sebagai pendorong dalam memenuhi berbagai ragam kebutuhan manusia, yang mencakup kebutuhan fisik, psikis, bahkan spiritual-transendental. Fungsi lainnya yang saling berkorelasi satu sama lain ialah menggerakkan, mengarahkan, menjaga, menopang, dan menyeleksi tingkah laku manusia. Berdasar fungsi-fungsi tersebut, Baharuddin sampai kepada kesimpulan bahwa motivasi menjadi kunci utama dalam menafsirkan dan melahirkan perbuatan manusia, yang dalam konsep Islam disebut niyyah dan ‘ibadah. Niyyah merupakan pendorong utama manusia untuk berbuat atau beramal, sedangkan ‘ibadah merupakan tujuan manusia berbuat atau beramal. Maka perbuatan manusia menurutnya, berada pada lingkaran niyyah dan ‘ibadah.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan program gerakan literasi sekolah melalui pelajaran bahasa indonesia dengan pemanfaatan potensi budaya lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dideskripsikan bahwasanya dari 5 langkah pada tahapan pembiasaan gerakan literasi sekolah, belum semua langkah-langkah dapat dilakukan secara maximal yakni sekolah belum melakukan pembiasaan pada siswa untuk membaca 15 menit sebelum pelajaran dimulai, tetapi hanya 5 menit. Kedua, pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolah hanya terbatas pada kegiatan di dalam kelas. Ketiga, lingkungan sekitar belum mendukung sepenuhnya adanya program gerakan literasi sekolah ini sehingga lingkungan tidak menyediakan aneka teks sebagai sumber bacaan. Keempat, pemilihan buku bacaan hanya melalui buku teks pelajaran dan kelima pelibatan publik belum dilakukan secara maksimal untuk mendukung adanya program gerakan literasi sekolah. Kata Kunci : Implementasi, GLS, Bahasa Indonesia Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) or the School Literacy Movement program through Indonesian language learning by utilizing the potentials of local culture. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection techniques are observation and interview. Based on the results of this study, it can be described that from the 5 steps in the stage of habituation of the school literacy movement, not all of those steps have not been maximally done, i.e. first, the school has not accustomed the students to read 15 minutes before the lesson begins, but it is only done in 5 minutes. Second, the implementation of the school literacy movement is merely concerned to activities in the classroom. Third, the surrounding environment has not fully supported the existence of this school literacy movement program therefore the environment does not provide various texts as the reading sources. Fourth, the selection of reading books depends only on textbooks and the fifth, public involvement has not been maximally carried out to support the school literacy movement program. Abstract

The limited proficiency in deaf students led to difficulty communicating for deaf students that impact on low mathematics achievement. The ability to learn math that requires abstract thinking skills through information received has not been able to be fully achieved, due to limitations in hearing received by the students. This research was conducted as a quasi-experimental. Nine of deaf students at SMPLB Negeri Saronggi aged between 15-18 years who have low math achievement that performed a pre-test with daily test, these students who later became the subject of research. They were given intervention Snowball Throwing learning method for 3 sessions. The learning method is applied for ± 3 hours. 2 weeks after intervention, conducted interviews and post-intervention measurements using daily tests of mathematics. Based on results of hypothesis testing with Wilcoxon analysis obtained value asymp sig = 0 008 <α = 0. 05, that was Ho rejected, which means there is the effect of intervention by snowball throwing learning method significantly to improve mathematics achievement in deaf students before and after treatment. This research proves that the intervention snowball throwing learning methods is considered successful in improving learning achievement with high academic self-efficacy in deaf students of SMPLB Negeri Saronggi. The teacher also said that he obtained new information on new methods of learning and skills in teaching and learning mathematics.

Abstract

Based on preliminary study in the fifth grade elementary school in IV Nagari district at Sijunjung, problem-solving skills of the mathematics at students is relatively low, from 10 questions of the problem-solving skill that contain in odd semester exam only 43% students can complete it. This research main to describe the comprehension reading skills and problem solving skills math, and contribution comprehension reading skills of the mathematical problem solving skills Elementary School fifth grade students in IV Nagari district, at Sijunjung. This research is a correlational study. The population in this study is a fifth grade students throughout the District IV Nagari, Sijunjung. The sampling technique used random sampling. Instruments for collecting data is comprehension reading skill test, creativity and problem solving skills of mathematics. The analysis technique used descriptive and correlational. The results show: 1) Elementary School fifth grade students in IV Nagari district have high comprehension reading skills is 42.86% and high math problem-solving skills is 50.55%; 2) there is a significant and positive contributiont correlation between reading comprehension skills to the math problem solving skills with a correlation coefficient 0.646
