Abstract

Politeknik Negeri Subang (POLSUB) sebagai perguruan tinggi yang baru berdiri pada tahun 2014 harus menentukan startegi yang tepat dalam mendapatkan calon mahasiswa baru yaitu dengan promosi ke sekolah. POLSUB menetapkan sekolah yang akan diadakan promosi berdasarkan banyaknya jumlah siswa pada sekolah tersebut, tanpa melihat faktor lain. Penelitian ini untuk menentukan sekolah yang menjadi target promosi menggunakan metode Fuzzy C Means (FCM) dengan menggunakan beberapa atribut atau parameter masukan diantaranya jumlah siswa yang melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi, nilai rata-rata ujian nasional, dan jarak antara kampus POLSUB dengan sekolah. Hasil perhitungan MPC didapat cluster yang paling optimal dengan nilai 0.9702 yaitu tiga cluster. Hasil clustering ini digunakan oleh panitia penerimaan mahasiswa baru dalam pengambilan keputusan sekolah yang akan diadakan promosi yaitu sekolah-sekolah yang berada pada cluster I dan hal ini merupakan strategi utama dalam mendapatkan mahasiswa yang unggul.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development potential of the regions of beef cattle and the factors that influence the development of beef cattle in the Regency of Subang. Research carried out by analyzing the primary data from a breeder and secondary data are sourced from the Department of animal husbandry and animal health District of Subang, food security and animal husbandry Office of West Java province and the Central Bureau of statistics the Regency of Subang. The data are analyzed in a descriptive and statistical. Analysis of the potential of the region using the parameters of location quotient (LQ) and factors development of beef cattle were analyzed by linear regression model, with multiple dependent factor (Y) beef cattle Population and the independent variable (X) from the a row is beef cattle population total population of Subang, County, and sales of beef cattle out of the Kabupaten Subang. Abstract

Community development is a synergy of profit, people, and planet providing both financial and environmental achievement.  The Indonesian Company Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management or PROPER is an obligation for companies listed at the Indonesian stock exchange. The status of beyond compliance ranking as stated in green and gold is the main achievement for companies wanted their top program to be included in PROPER. The purpose of this study is to assess community empowerment programs that are followed by PROPER's internal-external criteria using the AHP method. The criteria used are five internal criteria and six external criteria. There are three options included in top programs such as KIPAS Park, creative ecotourism village, and energy and food independent village. The results of this study are in the form of top programs namely energy and food self-sufficient villages ranked first, KIPAS parks ranked second and creative eco-tourism villages ranked third. The range between the actual sequences is not too far, the company can carry out further analysis such as SWOT or IOOC to strengthen the argumentation about its top flagship program.

Abstract

Abstract. Fluid mechanics is one of the courses that discusses the flow of fluid in a pipe. The material in it includes knowledge of energy flow losses that occur in the piping system. This flow loss, will later show the piping system performance. In lecture material, the term flow loss is known as the Head Loss. The fluid flow props in this pipe are parallel studies with basic module research. In this study, making a more varied valve module and additional measuring devices on the Headloss visual aid in the hope of helping and making effective learning of fluid mechanics in mechanical laboratories. Abstract

Painting the water transfer printing model on metal is the job of covering the surface of a metal object using water as the medium. The problem that often occurs is that the film does not want to stick on the surface to be painted. This is mostly due to things like the slope of an object, the condition of the water, and even the time needed. To solve these problems it is necessary to use a structured and patterned painting method. The research that has been done produces the right work steps to maximize the painting results using a water transfer printing model. The important point to do in painting using this model is the room that is not windy, the need for primers before painting, the slope of the water condition must be clean and calm and the temperature is around 32̊, the condition of the film is clean, the activation time of the film is about 60 seconds and the angle of the object when dipped 40-50̊. Abstract

Abstract. Subang Regency is one of the biggest corn producing regions in West Java besides Garut and Karawang. The average corn production in Subang Regency reached 1,318.4 tons or 1.2% (2008-2012) (Darmawan, Safei, & Hamdani, 2014). The quality and quantity of corn production is influenced by the process of handling the harvest and post-harvest. Post-harvest problems that are often experienced by farmers are the shrinking of the quantity and quality of maize yields due to the corn shelling process which is still done manually so that it is less efficient and low productivity. The purpose of this research is to produce a corn sheller machine that is simple, does not take up a large place in its placement, and is relatively inexpensive and easy to maintain. The method in this research is the study of literature, reading work drawings, making work preparations, preparing tools and materials, manufacturing processes, and testing the performance of tools. The results of this study are the corn sheller machine created with dimensions of length 500 cm, width 49 cm and height 100 cm, capacity of 2 kg / minute with 1400 rpm rotation. Based on the performance test results obtained that an increase in production capacity with a corn sheller machine that is 1 minute can produce 2.7 kg of shelled corn, while manually can only produce 1 ounce or 0.1 kg in 1 minute. So the comparison is obtained manually and machine that is 1: 27. In addition, the results of shelled corn has good quality or the seeds are not damaged. Keywords: Corn, Shelling Machine, Manufacture

Abstract

Proses pengajaran dengan metode e-learning menggunakan Edmodo selaras dengan konsep kerja dari Green Computing dengan memanfaatkan perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak komputer dengan lebih baik, lebih efisien, dan lebih bermanfaat. Edmodo menyerupai media sosial yang mendukung pembelajaran dengan menerapkan konsep Green Computing. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan literature review berupa buku, jurnal yang membahas tentang topik yang berhubungan dengan penggunaan Edmodo sebagai platform dalam pengembangan metode e-learning, maupun yang berhubungan dengan konsep Green Computing. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian lapangan dengan cara observasi terhadap sistem yang berjalan di Program Studi Sistem Informasi Politeknik Negeri Subang (POLSUB). Proses pengajaran dengan metode e-learning menggunakan Edmodo, dengan tidak menggunakan kertas pada saat pengumpulan tugas dan kuis memberikan gambaran bahwa POLSUB turut serta dalam memelihara kelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

Fish chips are a fortified snack made from the main ingredients of serelia and fish. The purpose of this study was to improve the nutritional value and recommend the best formulation of catfish (Clarias Sp) chips. Completed Randomized Design method was employed-using three different concentration of meat of catfish treatments: 10%, 20%, and 30% with three repetition. Parameters of experiment were crude protein and hedonic test. Parametric data was analyzed with ANOVA; to distinguish treatment, Duncan was employed; to test non-parametric data, Kruskal-Wallis test was employed. The results showed that the increase of catfish meat percentage had significant effect (P <0,01) on protein content. Organoleptic results of flavor and texture, fish chips with meat of catfish as much as 20% is the preferred formulation by panelists. The recommended formulation of fish meat in the manufacture of fish chips is 20%.

Abstract

Subang adalah salah satu kabupaten penghasil ikan laut di Jawa Barat. Potensi hasil ikan laut yang besar di Subang merupakan modal dalam peningkatan nilai tambah dan diversifikasi produksi ikan di Subang. Kamaboko adalah salah satu olahan ikan yang banyak digemari oleh masyarakat. Kamoboko dapat dibuat dari berbagai jenis ikan terutama ikan yang berdaging putih dan berprotein tinggi. Ikan tenggiri (Scomberomorus commerson), ikan sebelah (Psettodes erume) dan ikan manyung (Arius thalassinus) banyak dihasilkan di Subang dan merupakan ikan berdaging putih. Daya terima dan analisis ekonomi usaha kamaboko berbahan dasar ikan tenggiri, sebelah dan manyung bisa menjadi alternatif dalam pengembangan produk ikan di Subang. Hasil organoleptif menunjukkan bahwa warna, rasa, aroma dan tekstur yang diuji berbda nyata pada setiap perlakuan. kamaboko berbahan dasar ikan tenggiri banyak disukai oleh panelis dari segi warna, rasa, aroma dan tekstur dibandingkan dengan ikan lain. Rendemen kamaboko paling tinggi dihasilkan dari kamaboko berbahan darar ikan tenggiri yaitu sebesar 94,18 %.  Hasil analisis ekonomi kamaboko berbahan dasar ikan tenggiri menghasilkan keuntungan lebih besar dibandingkan ikan lainnya. Net B/C Rasio ikan tenggiri sebesar 1,25 sehingga layak untuk diusahakan.

Abstract

Chicken feet and neck bones flour are the products of live stock which have a high protein and mineral content. However, they have not been utilized functionally, while they have a potential as a food ingredient and functional food source. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to utilize the chicken feet and neck bones flour as functional food products and new food ingredients. Both chicken feet and neck bones flour can be mixed with other raw materials which have a potential function as food sources for energy. The addition of protein and minerals from the both chicken feet and neck bones flour are expected to be able to increase the nutritional value of a product, especially for the protein and mineral content. Thus, the product is not only as an energy source but also as a source of protein and minerals. Moreover, functional food development is not only beneficial for consumers but also as an opportunity for the food industry and government
