Abstract

Since English is a subject that all students in Indonesian schools are required to study, schools are under pressure to make studying the language enjoyable for the pupils. The use of the Duolingo app to increase the English vocabulary of Grade 3 A MI Tarbiyatul Islam pupils is discussed in this study. memorizing a language involves memorizing a lot of vocabulary. This study employs a qualitative case study methodology. Four people the head of the madrasa, an English teacher, and two Class 3 A students from MI Tarbiyatul Islam served as the study's informants. Data gathering, data reduction, data display, and conclusions are all used in data analysis. According to the research findings, the Duolingo application can increase students' vocabulary acquisition because of its supporting elements, which include an initial ability analysis, engaging the students' attention, repetition, and practice questions.

Abstract

A technique used in the teaching and learning process, the application of reward and punishment to pupils in a preventive or repressive manner, and has a significant impact on their behavior and discipline. This study tries to describe how rewards and penalties are used to shape student discipline. A case study-style qualitative research methodology was adopted. In this study, interviews, observation, and documentation were the primary data collection methods. To determine data validity, source triangulation and technical triangulation are used. According to this study, applying rewards will lead to pupils having a disciplined attitude by communicating rewards in the form of prizes and expressing gratitude in the form of gifts. As opposed to using a piecemeal warning system, impulsive warnings, and written warning letters when applying punishment to shape a student's disciplinary attitude. Using process assessments, or evaluations that are applied when the teaching and learning process takes place, such as by observing students' behavior each day while they are in the madrasah environment, is one way to measure the use of rewards and punishments when forming students' discipline attitudes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of applying the Problem Based Learning model assisted by monopoly media on student learning outcomes in class VIII PPKn subjects at SMPN 1 Mataram. The approach used is quantitative with the type of research Quasi Experimental Design with the type of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all 11 graders of class VIII SMPN 1 Mataram. The sample in this study was taken using a purposive sampling technique. So from the 11 classes two classes will be taken as research samples, namely class VIII G (experimental class) and class VIII J (control class). Data collection was carried out by observation and test techniques. The instrument used is a multiple choice test. The test technique used is the pre-test and post-test. The analysis prerequisite test used for the normality test is the Chi Square Test and the homogeneity test uses the Variance Test. To test the hypothesis using the t-test. The results of the study used the t-test at a significance level of 5% where tcount > ttable (4,135 > 1,994) was obtained so that the conclusion was that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, meaning that there was an influence of the Media Monopoly Assisted Problem Based Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes in Civics Subjects at SMPN 1 Mataram.

Abstract

Educational process services are integration of educational processes and outcomes standards. Educational institutions apply service standards based on the future design of the institution as an organization, namely the Vision. Educational institutions have a vision and organizational goals as guides in achieving their goals, so are Islamic boarding schools. This research is motivated by a phenomenon that is contrary to the strength of the vision of the Islamic boarding school in creating educational processes and services that meet the standards of consumer needs. The performance of the pesantren leadership, namely Kiai, greatly determines the vision that becomes the movement for pesantren organizations to provide excellent educational services. The effectiveness of the organization in Islamic boarding schools is very dependent on the work of the Kiai as a guide, a mover for institutional change, communicator, and mentor. The presentation in this report uses formation; Preliminary, Research Methods, Discussion, and Closing.

Abstract

This article discusses the phenomenon of the widespread involvement of children in acts of terrorism in Indonesia, especially those that occurred in 2018. Such phenomenon indicates that mothers and fathers involve their children in acts of terrorism. The research is conducted with Berger and Luckman’s social construction approach. In addition, Derrida's deconstruction theory is also employed to support the analysis. The result, based on Berger and Luckman’s social construction theory, this phenomenon occurs because of radical constructivism. Furthermore, employing Derrida's deconstruction theory, this research finds that such terrorism has tendency of deconstruction process that rejects all forms of establishment, absoluteness, standard and rigid values in society. This proves the dynamics of human diversity in the real sense. However, this can also lead to intolerance.

Abstract

This research aims to determine teacher performance management as a continuous performance process to equalize the individual goals of teachers, educational institutions and concatenation of teacher performance from the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages oriented to meeting minimum work standards in order to obtain income eligibility, allowances, and promotion or rank only resulting in teacher performance dealing with administrative matters and overriding performance processes that produce outputs and outcames according to the goals of educational institutions. This research is a qualitative study with a phenomological approach. The data collection technique uses observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis includes single site analysis and cross site analysis with data analysis techniques; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. This research resulted in four main findings. First, the pre-cycle stage with preparation for assessment and forming a teacher performance appraisal team. Second, the planning stage with a phase of defining, discussing roles, responsibilities, and measurable expectations. Third, the coaching stage with a phase of observation, monitoring, support, feedback, and appreciation. The four stages of the teacher performance management cycle are performance evaluation.

Abstract

School is a forum for improving the quality of human resources. Therefore, it is not surprising that education has been the problem that government has to find a common ground. School is an institution that is expected by the community, government and the state to create quality human resources. To create a quality school, it needs to be managed properly in accordance with the functions and goals of education itself. So that the output which is the focal point in education can play a role in accordance with the duties and functions according to the institution they do. Human resource management is equally important in the process of improving the quality of education in general. Therefore, the management of human resource also needs to be carried out optimally so that what is needed by individual, organizations or institutions can be achieved. In addition, good management of human resources in education will also answer challenges related to competitiveness, which is a problem in our country today.

Abstract

Metode pemberian tugas belajar atau resitasi merupakan metode mengajar yang berupa pemberian tugas oleh guru kepada siswa, dan kemudian siswa harus mempertanggung jawabkan atau melaporkan hasil tugas tersebut sedangkan Metode simulasi sebagai metode mengajar merupakan kegiatan untuk menirukan suatu perbuatan. Menurut Abu Ahmadi simulasi (simulation) berarti tiruan atau suatu perbuatan yang bersifat pura-pura saja. Adapun fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimanakah Penerapan Metode Resitasi Dan Simulasi Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Kognitif Siswa Pada Aplikasi Pembelajaran Tematik Di Kelas III MIS. Abstract

Today the need of education is increasingly high, but it is inversely proportional to the condition of education that is increasingly regressive. This happened because of the development of science, knowledge, and technology (modernism) which had a negative impact on moral decadence. Because of this threat, Islamic education as a branch of aespecially scientific discipline is expected to be a solution to the threat. Therefore, educational institutions must be able to be pioneers in improving the character of students, namely by implementing policies or programs that lead to Islamic education. One of them has been done by a non-Islamic national standard school, namely SMA Negeri 1 Genteng, which has instilled Islamic values in the educational environment.
