Abstract

This article is based on the Community Partnership Program (PKM) which seeks to solve the problems facedby Osing indigenous community, especially the Mocoan Association of Lontar Yusup and The Archipelago IndigenousYouth Front (BPAN) of Osing from the aspect of preservation strategies and revitalization of the Mocoan Lontar Yusuptradition. The solutions offered from this program are the preparation of transliteration and translation of the contents ofLontar Yusup, digital documentation (pictures, writings, sounds and videos) stored in the form of Digital Video Disc(DVD) and Mocoan Lontar Yusup training for young people. The activities are in the form of making a book containingperso-arabic texts, transliteration and translation of the contents of Lontar Yusup, training module which contains theway to recite Lontar Yusup accompanied by digital documentation and Mocoan Lontar Yusup training for young peoplewhile the mentoring method was carried out by the team continuously during the period of the PKM program. Theoutputs are training modules, a book with perso-arabic texts, transliteration and translation of Lontar Yusup, digitaldocumentation, and the Mocoan Lontar Yusup training model for young people

Abstract

The potency of purple sweet potatoes cultivation in Mekar Jaya Village, Duhiadaa Sub-district, PohowatoRegency is abundant but only sold in the form of tuber. Average selling price of the tuber is Rp. 7,000, - which is stillincluded in the very low price category and the demand is still small. To be able to increase the selling point, it isnecessary to inform the community in the village both knowledges and skills in terms of raw management of the tuber intoflour and subsequently it can be made into a healthy food with high nutritional value and also to increase the sellingvalue so as to improve the welfare of the community. This activity aims to improve the knowledges and skills of thecommunity in making healthy food from the tuber. This health foods such as ice cream with high nutritional value,brownies and low carbohydrate bread, and potato sticks with high antioxidant content is one of the alternative fooddestined for diabetics, cholesterol due to the nutritional content and fiber. The empowerment model in transferringknowledges and technology to the group of Pembinaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) in the village is using directpractice method in the field, starting from the process of making products from the tuber to product marketing. Thisactivity involves the supervisors (Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan, DPL), students, extension workers as partners in KKNPPM (Kuliah Kerja Nyata - Pembelajaran Pemberdayaan Masyarakat) activities that is a very important institution related to the activities undertaken and involved in the development of agricultural commodities development.  The form of the implemented program are socialization by the students about the benefits of the tuber and direct practice about how tomake healthy products such as making bread, brownies, ice cream and potato sticks, packaging and marketing accordingto the needs. The method used is empowerment of PKK Mekar Jaya group with instructional techniques and directpractice by providing knowledges about how to produce a high quality products from the purple sweet potatoes which iscapable to compete in the market

Abstract

Central Java Province is a province that has dairy producing areas, including Boyolali Regency. This area is known as a dairy producing area that can supply milk needs in the Semarang, Klaten and Solo regions. However, the milk processing industry has not fully supported the dairy farmers. This condition can be known when the milk processing industry sets too high quality standards, causing problems for dairy farmers. This effect causes milk from dairy farmers to be thrown away. Another problem arises due to the inaccurate time of collection with the time of milk extraction to be accommodated in the KUD. Milk storage and cooling equipment owned by cattle farmers are not optimal because they use electricity sourced from PLN, thus increasing production costs. For that reason, in solving these problems by making milk storage devices and coolers with energi from biogas. The results of the implementation of this technology can reduce production costs because the milk storage process does not require energi from PLN. Besides, it can reduce milk wasted due to wrong timing of milk collection and order.

Abstract

Chili (capsium annum L) is an important horticulture commodity. The availability of water is one of the supporting factors for the chili crop production system. Meeting the water needs of chili greatly affects its growth. One obstacle for farmers is managing time when processing land. Farmers spend a lot of time watering and fertilizing plants. This has an impact on the time efficiency of farmers to cultivate other land and clear weeds. The design development of a plant irrigation system using soil moisture sensors can be an alternative solution. This system is capable of automatically watering and detecting the availability of water for watering. The control system used is Arduino Uno as the main controller. From the automated design mindset, it can be said that it is possible to carry out an automation process on the work of watering chili plants. The problem of adequate water in the dry season can be overcome based on controlling the amount of water spray, which is adjusted to the soil moisture sensor readings. As for other problems that need to be studied, related to the system of controlling soil moisture during the rainy season. This problem can be assessed by reference to a soil moisture based watering control system that might also be combined with a soil dryer / dryer system. This can be developed into the next appropriate technology as a community service work.

Abstract

This program is designed to answer the problem of unavailability of potential human resources in processingand utilizing the potential of local raw materials as a business that can be developed to increase the income of localfarmers. With the implementation of this pioner program, the training is designed, Establishment of Joint Business Group"KUBE" and Opening and expanding partner marketing network for farmer group of Sungai Lueng village "TunasHarapan" and farmer group "Karya Bersama" Sukarejo village. Training materials include processing of nipah productssuch as dodol products, candied nipah, and nipah fruit syrup. Abstract

One of the handicrafts in Gorontalo Province is Upia Karanji which is also commonly called the Kopiah Basket. This craft is a typical Gorontalo craft made from Mintu tree bark. During its development, various problems arose from the production process, business management, and marketing. The results of the implementation of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) of the solutions offered are in the aspect of production by selecting production support partners so that partners get at least 1 distributor of raw materials. Contribute to the production phase and the implementation of tools that can make time efficient at all stages of production, and the support of tools for partners continues to promote safety at work. Training and guidance on the preparation of financial statements so that partners have a simple financial accounting for their business. Organizational training is provided to partners so as to provide capabilities in and provide work based on the number of members. Design training and guidance for partners so that partners create products that have diverse motives. Marketing management training and promotion demonstrations to partners so partners can practice modern ways of promotion. Assistance with marketing partners so that partners get marketing partners who can increase sales.

Abstract

Kecamatan Gandusari, kabupaten Trenggalek, Jawa Timur, sejak lama terkenal sebagai pusat produksibarang-barang kerajinan berbahan dasar bambu. Dusun Nglaban, Desa Karanganyar, dikenal sebagai penghasil sangkar burung dan ayam. Harga sangkar burung dengan kualitas biasa adalah Rp 10.000, yang halus Rp 15.000. Untuk sangkar ayam mulai dari Rp 15.000 ? Rp 25.000, tergantung dari kualitasnya. Saat ini harga bahan baku maupun produk hasil sudah berkembang sekitar 300% dan muncul pengrajin-pengrajin sangkar burung khusus untuk burung berkicau. Sangkar jenis ini biasanya memiliki nilai seni sehingga tingkat kerumitan pembuatannya lebih tinggi. Harganya bisa mencapai 5 kali harga sangkar burung biasa. Peluang inilah yang dibidik mitra IbM. Sebagaimana umumnya usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah, mitra IbM tidak memiliki sistem manajemen usaha sama sekali. Mereka mendasarkan usahanya pada pola kebutuhan keluarga dan menggabungkan keuangan usaha dengan keuangan usaha tanpa sistem pencatatan. Target kegiatan yang diajukan untuk membantu permasalahan mitra adalah konsultasi usaha untuk mengembangkan sistem menejemen dasar, bantuan peralatan tepat guna, dan pengembangan sistem pemasaran. Dengan kegiatan ini diharapkan kedua mitra bisa merintis terbentuknya kelompok pengrajin ruji dupa dan sangkar burung yang khas. Dalam masa 3 bulan pelaksanaan kegiatan, produk teknologi tepat guna sudah bisa berfungsi sempurna. Kapasitas produksi meningkat pesat dari semula rata-rata 1000 batang diselesaikan dalam sehari (8 jam kerja)menjadi hanya satu jam saja. Peningkatan kapasitas produksi ini masih terserap pangsa pasar sepenuhnya. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya ketersediaan pangsa pasar yang cukup tinggi untuk diraih. Kendala utama yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah pada 1) aspek peralatan tepat guna yang memerlukan modifikasi desain, penyesuaian pola kerja dan ukuran bahan baku terhadap kondisi kerja mesin; pelatihan dan pembiasaan operator terhadap sistem kerja mesin; serta pelatihan metode perawatan mesin, 2) keengganan mitra untuk memulai sistem manajemen sederhana, 3) keengganan mitra untuk mengembangkan metode pemasaran. Kendala pertama telah bisa diatasi dengan baik, sementara kendala kedua dan ketiga sedang diupayakan penanganannya.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program involved partners of farmer group in Budimukti Village, Damsol District,Donggala Regency, namely Panca Jaya and Subur Jaya farmer groups. Problems faced by both partners were: a) Cocoa shellsaround the cocoa plantations were increasingly piling up and left without handling because there was no technology toprocess the waste to have economic value to improve community?s standard of living. b) The surrounding community did notknow that cocoa shells can be processed to be charcoal briquettes as an alternative fuel to replace kerosene and to be liquidsmoke as a natural insecticide and preservative. c) They did not have skills in making charcoal briquettes and liquid smokefrom cocoa waste as raw material. The program aimed at improving farmers' knowledge and skills in designing technology tomake charcoal briquettes from cocoa shell waste and techniques in making liquid smoke from cocoa shell waste and theirrespective uses. The methods used were counseling and training as well as the practice of designing technology to makecharcoal briquettes and assembling technology for making liquid smoke from cocoa shell waste. Assistance to members ofpartnership groups was carried out with Participatory Methods. Extension activities were carried out in an effort to improvetheir knowledge, while training and demonstration plots were carried out in an effort to accelerate the process of technologytransfer to the community. The end results of this program were the increase in farmers? knowledge and the availability oftechnology packages for making charcoal briquettes and making liquid smoke from cocoa shell waste, so that the targetgroups can be independent in carrying out business activities using cocoa shell waste using the technology that had beenpracticed, on an ongoing basis

Abstract

Management has important role in automotive workshop. Small scale workshops usually have a lack ofbusiness knowledge. This activity is aimed to identify tool and working procedure management knowledge in automotiveworkshops in Banyuwangi district. The identification is done by direct survey and interview to 3 workshop owners. Theresult shows that workshops have not applied business management properly. The workshops need practical managementknowledge which easy to apply for the business

Abstract

This program is a service for the Tasikmalaya home industry community in implementing technology for Community Development (IbBM) presented by LPPM-PMP of Siliwangi University. The partner in this program is a home industry that produces typical Tasikmalaya footwear made from wood waste known as ?kelom geulis?. This home industry is located in Tasikmalaya, West Java province. The problem of partners found in the field is the high electricity consumption caused by lack of electrical installation protection systems skill and knowledge. The solution offered in this program is training of protection installation of electrical sistem. The target of the trainning is employee and owners of partmer. The results of this program, through training and focus group discussions, after testing with 15 questions from the training participants, it was found that the partners had very little understanding in understanding electricity protection for small industries. After the training, there is 60% progress increasing rate of knowledge and skill of participants from the initial ability before the partners attend training and coaching.
