Abstract

Abstract. Poverty is one of the problems in the development process for every country in the world, especially for developing countries, namely Indonesia. One government program that aims to reduce poverty in rural areas is the village fund. Village funds are used to finance governance, development, community development and village community empowerment. Village funds are expected to reduce poverty and increase economic growth in the village. This study aims to determine the relationship and analysis of village funds with poverty and economic growth in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The data used are time series data for 2015-2018. The variables in this study are the Village Fund, Poverty, and Economic Growth. The type of data is quantitative data and the source of the data is secondary data. The analytical tool used is the Pearson Correlation. The results showed the relationship between village funds and poverty had a negative relationship, meaning that if village funds increased then poverty would be low and vice versa if village funds were low then poverty would increase. The relationship between village funds with economic growth has a positive relationship, meaning that if village funds increase then economic growth will increase and vice versa if village funds are low then economic growth will fall.

This research was conducted in Madura Island which has four districts namely Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan and Sumenep. Each Kabupaten in Madura Island is the region with the most poverty in East Java, Indonesia. This research used quantitative-associative approach with regression panel data analysis method. Education is measured by level of education, gender is measured by Gender Development Index and poverty is measured by poverty level. Period of observation for five years in four districts in Madura Island. The results show that there is a significant negative effect of education on poverty. This means that if the level of education increases then it will reduce poverty. However, there is no significant gender effect on poverty. Then, there is a significant effect of education and gender simultaneously on poverty in Madura. The magnitude of effect is 94,67%.

Abstract

In Indonesia, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an obligation of business companies at the area around the company's operations. The CSR mandate in the legislation makes the role of the company not only as a provider of goods and services in the economy, but also contributes as an alternative source of funds for development and public goods and services providers for the community, which is actually the duty of the government. In its implementation there will be many perceptions from each stakeholder both from the company, local communities, and the Regional Government where the company operates. This study uses a qualitative method by utilizing in-depth interviews with stakeholders related to corporate CSR, both from managers and staff of CSR management companies, local communities affected by the company and local government. Interviews were conducted to see the perceptions of each stakeholder in viewing the synergy of CSR programs and regional development, especially in the Musi Banyuasin district, South Sumatra. The results showed that there were differences in perceptions between each stakeholder towards other stakeholders in the implementation of CSR programs that originated from the interests of each stakeholder. The results of this study are expected to provide policy input on the integration of the company's CSR programs with the Development Program.

Abstract

Industrialization is one of the ways taken by the government to increase economic development which aims to increase the number of job opportunities. The role of an industry is very important in the industrialization process. Not only the large industrial sector, the small and medium industrial sector (IKM) also has an important role in absorbing labor in order to reduce unemployment. This research was conducted to determine the absorption of labor in small and medium industries in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands due to the factors that influence it, such as the number of IKM, the value of working capital investment and the UMP level. The data used in this study are secondary data for the period 2010-2019 which were obtained from the Department of Industry and Trade of Bangka Belitung Province. The results of this research show that the number of small and medium industries and investment has a significant effect on the employment of small and medium industries in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and both have a positive relationship. This study has an accuracy level of 98 percent and the remaining 2 percent is influenced by other variables that are not included in the equation model.

Abstract

In this study, we have studied the influence of the regional budget component (Regional Income and Excess Budget Calculation) on opportunistic behavior in Bengkulu Province. The important problem with this research is the fact that the level of corruption in Bengkulu Province is relatively high. For 3 consecutive periods the governor of Bengkulu province was entangled in corruption cases, while on the other hand the poverty rate in Bengkulu province was among the highest in Sumatera. The data used was secondary data and primary data. The population and samples in this study were regional revenue and expenditure budget (APBD) throughout the District and City of Bengkulu Province during the research period of 2013-2017 and 22 respondents from the legislature and executive as the budgeting party. The methods used were qualitative and quantitative. The results of the t-test showed that the regional income (PAD) variable has a probability value of 0.0000. If seen from the significance of 0.0000 < 0.05, then Hypothesis 1 is accepted which means the regional income has an influence on the opportunistic behavior of budgeting in Bengkulu Province. The excess budget (SiLPA) obtains a probability of 0.0602 or greater than alpha 0.05, but smaller than alpha 0.10 at 90% confidence level. Thus, Hypothesis 2 is accepted which means that the excess budget (SiLPA) has an influence on the opportunistic behavior of budgeting in Bengkulu Province.

Meaningly that abnormal return with no differences to the award-winning and the non award-winning. The result obtained that tcount value of stock trading volume (Y2) amounted 8,641 with significant value amounted 0,000 bigger than level of significant ? = 0,05. Abstract

ABSTRACTBasically, humans need service, the concept of service will always be in human life. So that public services are essentially the fulfillment of the rights of basic needs of the state to the people. The main thing that becomes an indicator that bablik service providers have been responsive to the community is the emergence of service innovation. Innovation is expected to be a strategy in increasing the leverage of organizational performance both in producing products and services. The fact is that public service innovation activities that are effective, efficient and productive, can still lead to irregularities in their implementation. Starting from services that are not in line with community expectations. There are also irregularities in the uncertainty of time of service, uncertainty of cost. Besides that, the community has not been able to provide suggestions and criticisms for the service they have received. Illegal levies, disregard for the rights and dignity of service users also indicate deviations in public services. The purpose of this paper is to examine a variety of literature and observe and analyze innovations in the public sector that occur in the country to the regions. From the results of a review of some of the literature it turns out there are still constraints in developing even to apply innovation in the public sector. This obstacle occurs not only in large conditions, for example in a country, but also in a small region, namely in an area. This downturn is basically the same. including lack of support from direct superiors, systems that do not support the management of ideas, poor facilities, at least an emphasis on dissemination and commercialization, a system of rewards and incentives that are inadequate, procedures that are rigid and inefficient because of work based on existing rules. Keywords: Innovation, Public Sector.

Abstract

Sumatra is the driving force for the economy in Indonesia after Java. Compared to 4 other regions in Indonesia, apart from Java, the average economic growth in Sumatra is more stable. However, the contribution of GRDP of districts and cities in Sumatra to Indonesia has decreased, which indicates that the economic strength of Sumatra is declining. This study aims to analyze the effect of government spending, local taxes, and regional spliting on the economic growth of districts and cities in Sumatra. This study uses secondary data obtained from BPS and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia in the form of panel data, with 154 districts and cities in Sumatra during 2011-2016. The analysis method used is panel data regression. The results showed that the best regression model produced was the Fixed Effect Model. With the fixed effect model, it is found that government spending and local taxes have a significant positive effect on the economic growth of districts and cities in Sumatra. Meanwhile, for the regional split status variable, it is known that the blooming districts and cities have lower economic growth. The results of this research imply that local governments should allocate expenditure properly and strive for more optimal district/city tax collection through tax extensification so that the district and city economies can grow higher. On the other hand, the government is expected to evaluate the division of districts and cities because regional expansion did not promote economic growth during the research period.
