Abstract

Rituals about death can be seen as a family's willingness to lose a member, but also as an attempt to provide confidence in the transition from the world of the living to the world of the dead. These rituals are often only carried out at certain times and become important for adults. Meanwhile, the death of a child under five, especially when a miscarriage occurs, is often not remembered. In fact, this is not entirely true for the Javanese Mataraman community. Through this research, the presence of children under five and/or fetuses in the womb that died has taken an important position in the kupatan tradition. These memories should be suspected of helping to minimize infant deaths and miscarriages. This can be known by using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological perspective of E. Husserl on the Kupatan tradition of Javanese society. This tradition is not only carried out in rural areas, but in urban areas. Through the illness narrative, the Kupatan tradition has socialized the importance of care during pregnancy. In the kupatan tradition, narratives of success and failure in pregnancy care are well recorded. From the narrative of failure, a mother and her husband develop a business for their success.

Abstract

As a nation that has cultural diversity, cultural differences can be likened to a coin that has two sides. These differences can be strengths or weaknesses. It becomes a strength if these differences make people become integrated with one another or cause conflict due to existing differences. Education is one way to strengthen unity in the midst of differences and minimize conflicts due to existing differences. Through learning that applies ethnopedagogical and multicultural values that are integrated into subjects at school, it is expected to increase awareness about the importance of knowledge about one's own culture and tolerance for other cultures in a multicultural society. Through the project base learning method, students are expected to be able to explore and understand cultural diversity more deeply. Using data collection techniques, the literature study discusses (1) ethnopedagogy in education, (2) Multiculturalism in education, (3) Integration of ethnopedagogical and multicultural values in subjects, and (4) Application of ethnopedagogical and multicultural values through learning models project based learning

Abstract The continuous occurrence of revolution in society will certainly lead to changes and developments in the community. Information and communication factors are one of the drivers of the revolution in society. Abstract

The research aims, (1), to determine the regulation of the prudential principle of consumer finance institutions in running their business with the principle of prudence. (2) to find out whether the provision of ease of requirements in obtaining consumer financing credit has taken into account the precautionary principle. The problem approach used in this research is by using a normative juridical research approach by studying library materials including legislation, articles and doctrinal opinions. Based on the results of the study, it shows that: (1) there is no legal umbrella regulating the precautionary principle in consumer finance institutions in running their business. (2) the provision of convenience in obtaining credit facilities to consumers is a form of non-implementation of the precautionary principle of consumer finance institutions in running their business, which in fact there is no law that regulates it, and results in harm to consumers. Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a democratic government system so that Indonesia provides equal treatment, rights and obligations to all its people. Freedom of opinion is a right owned by every human being that is guaranteed by a state, as contained in Article 28E paragraph (3) which reads "Everyone has the right to freedom of association, assembly and expression". Advances in technology and information today is the right opportunity for every individual to voice his opinion on social media. Nevertheless. Freedom of argument often raises problems, namely the restriction of opinion by implementing a take down system on social media. This restriction of opinion then becomes a question mark, is Indonesia then heading towards totalitarianism? The method used in this article is a literature study, with data collection techniques through reference searches through books, journals, notes, and reports that are related to the problem. This article aims to describe the practice of restricting opinions that are taken down in social media. In addition, this article is expected to provide solutions to these problems. Restrictions on opinion on social media can still be found, this is supported by the presence of two examples of cases of opinion that were taken down on social media without any information. One form of unilateral take down that happened to Surya Anta when explaining the conditions of the Detention Center in a thread on his twitter.

Abstract

The high number of land conflicts will make farmers continue to carry out resistance movements. Now along with the development of technology, the activists of the peasant resistance movement use the internet to fight. This is what activists do. They help STTB Farmers (Serikat Tani Telukjambe Bersatu) in channeling their aspirations to reclaim land rights that have been snatched away by a corporation. The activist uploaded videos of the act of burying the STTB Farmer's self, which is a form of resistance to the dominant narrative. This activity of documenting and uploading it to an internet channel is called digital storytelling. The purpose of this study was to analyze digital storytelling which was used as a communication strategy for the STTB virtual farmer resistance. This research uses CMC (Computer Mediated Communication) theory with digital storytelling analysis. The results showed that there were a number of digital storytelling elements in the STTB farmer's self-burying video, namely Point of View, The Gift of Your Voice, and The Power of The Soundtrack. Even though this video of the STTB farmer's self-burying is made and presented in a simple way, it is precisely the simplicity that is its strength. This video is made naturally without any made-up scenes by the characters in this video, namely farmers and land conflict activists.
