Abstract

The purpose of this research is producing physics learning material through guided inquiry model with Mind Mapping technique that valid, practical, and effective to improve comprehension of concept and creative thinking ability of student in junior high school. The development of learning material used the Kemp model and was try outed in class VII of SMP Al Azhar Syifa Budi Samarinda, second semester in academic year 2013/2014 with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection used observation method, test, and quetionnaires. The data analysis techniques used quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this research are: 1) Learning material developed has a valid category; 2) The practicality of learning material in terms of a good category in feasibility of lesson plans and the students? activities in accordance with steps of guided inquiry model with Mind Mapping technique; and 3) The learning material effectiveness in terms of: (a) Improving students comprehension of concept seen from the N-gain score with high category; (b) Improving creative thinking ability of student by getting the N-gain score with high category; and (c) The students? responds toward material and implementation of learning are very positive. It?s conclusion that the learning material through guided inquiry model with Mind Mapping technique are decent to improve comprehension of concept and creative thinking ability of student in junior high school. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan teknik mind mapping  yang valid, praktis dan efektif (layak) untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model Kemp dan diujicobakan di kelas VII SMP Al Azhar Syifa Budi Samarinda semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Temuan hasil penelitian, yaitu: 1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik dan aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahap-tahap pada model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan teknik mind mapping; dan 3) Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) Peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa yang terlihat dari N-gain dengan kategori tinggi; (b) Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang terlihat dari N-gain dengan kategori tinggi;  dan (c) Respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran sangat positif. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perangkat pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan teknik mind mapping yang dikembangkan layak untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the effect of cooperative teaching learning by using conflict-cognitive strategy towards the reduction of students? misconceptions, so it can be determined a direct correlation between mastery of physics concepts and the misconceptions reduction. To achieve the aim, a study had been conducted beginning by setting the lesson plan, the students? worksheet, and the test in the material of ?simple electrical circuits?. The subject of the study was the students of X in SMAN 15 Surabaya, Second Semester, academic year of 2012-2013. The subject consisted of four groups which were three experimental groups and one control group. The study was an experimental study in control group pretest-posttest research design. The data of the study was collected through a multiple choice test with CRI and argument. The result of the study showed some facts as follows: (1) there was a difference of  the mastery significantly of concept between the experiment group and the control group. The average of the mastery of concept of experiment groups was 80,08 while the control group was 62,77; (2) there was the misconception reduction significantly between the experiment group and the control group. The average of the misconception reduction of the experiment group was 32,92%, while the control group was 11,33%; and (3) there was correlation between the concept mastery and in regression Y = 0,876 ? 0,095X.The conclusion of the study is that there is a significant effect of the conflict-cognitive strategy to increase the  students? learning result and the reduction of students' misconception.Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan strategi konflik kognitif terhadap reduksi miskonsepsi siswa, sehingga dapat ditentukan hubungan langsung antara penguasaan konsep fisika dan reduksi miskonsepsi. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, telah dilakukan penelitian yang diawali dengan penyusunan RPP, LKS dan THB dengan pilihan materi Rangkaian Listrik Sederhana. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMAN 15 Surabaya semester genap Tahun Pembelajaran 2012/2013. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas tiga kelompok eksperimen dan satu kelompok kontrol. Jenis penelitian tergolong penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian control  group  pretest-posttest design.  Data  dikumpulkan  melalui  THB  berbentuk  pilihan  ganda  disertai  CRI  dan argumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep secara signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Rata-rata penguasaan konsep siswa kelompok eksperimen adalah 80,08, sedangkan kelompok kontrol 62,77; (2) terdapat perbedaan reduksi miskonsepsi secara signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Rata-rata reduksi miskonsepsi siswa kelompok eksperimen adalah 32,92%, sedangkan kelompok kontrol 11,33%; dan (3) terdapat hubungan antara penguasaan konsep dengan reduksi miskonsepsi dalam persamaan regresi Y = 0,876 ? 0,095 X. Simpulan penelitian adalah terdapat pengaruh signifikan pembelajaran strategi konflik kognitif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar dan reduksi miskonsepsi siswa.

Abstract

This Research aimed at developing instructional learning materials, particularly Optical Equipments, based on Learning Cycle 5E to facilitate the student?s Critical Thinking. The research?s subjects are developing instructional learning materials and students of grade XI in Islamic Senior High School Darul Istiqomah, Bojonegoro. The study used Dick?s and Carey?s model. The developed instructional learning material is tryouted using one group pretest-posttest design in the classroom. The study?s data analysis used descriptive quantitative technique and descriptive qualitative technique. The results are obtained: developing instructional learning material validity are generally categorized as valid; RPP performing is well; the dominant activity is observation; students also have positive responses to learning model; student?s critical thinking increases. The Obstacles encountered during learning is the time required to carry out learning activities exceeds from predetermined time. Based on the findings and results, it is concluded that the instructional learning materials of Learning Cycle 5E are feasible to facilitate the student?s Critical Thinking. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berdasarkan model Learning Cycle 5E pokok bahasan alat ? alat optik untuk melatihkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang layak. Subjek penelitian adalah perangkat pembelajaran dan siswa kelas XI di MA Darul Istiqomah kabupaten Bojonegoro. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Dick and Carey. Uji coba hasil pengembangan perangkat dalam pembelajaran di kelas menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualititatif. Temuan dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu: Validitas perangkat pembelajaran dinyatakan valid, keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik; aktivitas siswa paling dominan selama pembelajaran adalah melakukan pengamatan; respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran model Learning Cycle 5E dinilai baik; kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat. Kendala yang ditemui selama pembelajaran adalah waktu yang diperlukan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran melebihi waktu yang telah dialokasikan. Berdasarkan pembahasan hasil dan temuan-temuan, disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran model Learning Cycle 5E yang telah dikembangkan pada materi alat ? alat optik, layak dipergunakan untuk melatihkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

This research is aims to develop a valid and effective learning material, by using discovery learning model to increase learning outcomes and creative thinking skills on static fluid material in senior high school. Thiagarajan?s 4-D model is used to develop the learning materials and tryout with one group pretest-posttest design. The data were analyzed by quantitative and qualitative description. The results show that: a) Development of learning materials are valid; b) Feasibility of learning material can be applied well ; c) Student?s activities during Discovery Learning  model are good; d) The student?s responses toward learning material and implementation are positive; e) Results of learning outcomes in religious attitude are good, aspects of social attitude are good, aspects of knowledge increase with medium level, and aspect of science process skills have excellent predicate; f) Results of creative thinking skills students is increasing in medium level either on fluency thinking, flexibility thinking, or originality thinking. So, it can be concluded that the physics learning materials using Discovery Learning model are valid and effective to increase learning outcomes and creative thinking skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model Discovery Learning  yang valid dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif pada materi fluida statis di SMA. Rancangan pengembangan yang digunakan mengikuti model 4-D dari Thiagarajan dengan desain uji coba one group pretest-posttest design. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan: a) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid; b) Keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran pada uji coba terlaksana dengan baik; c) Aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran mengikuti langkah-langkah model Discovery Learning secara baik; d) Respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan model pembelajaran positif; e) Hasil belajar siswa pada aspek sikap religius baik, aspek sikap sosial baik, aspek pengetahuan meningkat dengan rata-rata peningkatan berkategori tinggi, serta aspek keterampilan proses sains memperoleh predikat sangat baik; f) Hasil keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa mengalami peningkatan berkategori sedang pada aspek berpikir lancar, berpikir luwes, dan berpikir orisinal. Berdasarkan hasil di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran fisika model Discovery Learning yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif.

Abstract

One indicator of the success of a learning process IPA is the achievement of learning outcomes of students both competence spiritual, social, knowledge and skills. Many factors make the results of this study are lower among reading of the science lesson is still low and science teaching materials available is insufficient and monotonous. This research aims to produce teaching materials on the comic material transportation system of living things are valid, practical, and effective so as to foster interest in reading and improve learning outcomes. Learning approach used to implement the teaching materials of this comic is the scientific approach as recommended by Curriculum 2013. The development of teaching materials using 4D models and design studies using one group pre-test post-test design. The experiment was conducted on students of class VIII SMPN 1 Sekar Bojonegoro. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative. The results of data analysis showed that: (1) a valid teaching materials developed, practical and effective; (2) study carried out by both categories; (3) more active learners in learning; (4) reading learners experiencing growth with a percentage increase of 56.36%; (5) the study of students has increased by a score of N-gain high category. Based on the above results, it can be concluded that the teaching materials have been developed comic valid, practical, and effective way to foster interest in reading and improve the learning outcomes of students. Salah satu indikator keberhasilan suatu proses belajar mengajar IPA adalah tercapainya hasil belajar peserta didik baik kompetensi spiritual, sosial, pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Banyak faktor yang membuat hasil belajar ini rendah di antaranya adalah minat baca terhadap matapelajaran IPA masih rendah dan  bahan ajar IPA yang tersedia tidak mencukupi serta bersifat monoton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar komik pada materi sistem transportasi makhluk hidup yang valid, praktis, dan efektif sehingga mampu menumbuhkan minat baca dan meningkatkan hasil belajar. Pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk menerapkan bahan ajar komik ini adalah pendekatan saintifik sesuai anjuran Kurikulum 2013. Pengembangan bahan ajar menggunakan model 4D dan desain penelitian menggunakan one group pre-test post-test design. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sekar Bojonegoro. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) bahan ajar yang dikembangkan valid, praktis dan efektif; (2) pembelajaran terlaksana dengan kategori baik; (3) peserta didik lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran; (4)  minat baca peserta didik mengalami pertumbuhan dengan prosentase peningkatan 56,36%; (5) hasil belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dengan skor N-gain berkategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar komik yang telah dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk menumbuhkan minat baca dan meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Environmental problems occured in Indonesia, as one of developing countries, are challenging for young generation. Their positive behavior and creative thinking skill need to be developed in addressing these issues. Therefore, Chemistry Department of State University of Surabaya has introduced Green Chemistry approach in General Chemistry course as an effort to educate and prepare the future chemistry teachers become more awareness and concerned on the environmental condition. This study was preceeded by the development stage to produce proper teaching materials. Hereafter, this paper investigated pre-service chemistry teachers? environmental value orientations, creative thinking skill, and profile of creative attitude after the implementation of Green Chemistry laboratory learning. Research findings showed that most of their environmental value orientations shifted considerably becomes less egocentric, more homocentric and ecocentric. This positive change hopefully will affect their behavior toward the environment. Generally, their creative thinking skill also increased significantly with the most dominant creative attitude during learning process was curiosity. It can be concluded that the Green Chemistry course was a suitable context of environmental education to support the development of more positive environmental value orientations. Also, creative thinking skill of pre-service chemistry teachers increased in leading the conceptualization of sustainable environment. Permasalahan lingkungan yang terjadi di Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara berkembang menjadi tantangan generasi muda. Perilaku positif dan keterampilan berpikir kreatifnya perlu dikembangkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Jurusan Kimia Universitas Negeri Surabaya mulai memperkenalkan pendekatan Green Chemistry di perkuliahan Kimia Dasar sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mendidik dan menyiapkan mahasiswa calon guru kimia agar mempunyai kesadaran dan kepedulian yang lebih baik terhadap kondisi lingkungan. Penelitian ini diawali dengan tahap pengembangan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang layak. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini menginvestigasi orientasi nilai lingkungan, keterampilan berpikir kreatif, dan profil sikap kreatif mahasiswa calon guru kimia setelah implementasi pembelajaran kimia berbasis laboratorium Green Chemistry. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar orientasi nilai lingkungan mahasiswa mengalami pergeseran secara signifikan menjadi kurang egosentris dan lebih homosentris dan ekosentris. Perubahan positif ini diharapkan dapat mempengaruhi perilakunya terhadap lingkungan. Secara umum, keterampilan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa juga meningkat secara signifikan dengan sikap kreatif yang paling dominan teramati selama proses pembelajaran adalah ?curiosity?. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan Green Chemistry merupakan konteks pendidikan lingkungan yang tepat untuk mengembangkan orientasi nilai lingkungan yang lebih positif. Selain itu, keterampilan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa calon guru kimia juga meningkat dalam rangka konseptualisasi lingkungan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study purposed to produce a teaching materials with hypothetical deductive learning cycle model in the material acid solution decent base to improve the mastery of concepts. Development of the teaching materials using the Research & Development (R & D). The teaching materials developed consisting of lesson plan, student?s book, worksheets and test of concept mastery. The teaching materials were tested to the students of class XI SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Gresik in the first semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The design of trials using One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. The results showed that (1) The validity of the teaching materials respectively acquire the criteria very valid; (2) Practicality teaching materials seen from feasibility study learning implementation lesson plan got practice criteria with an average of 3.48, legibility student?s book scored an average legibility level of 58% so that the legibility level appropriate teaching materials, student activity increased toward centered learning on students; and (3) the effectiveness of the teaching materials that consists of responses students received a positive response from the students so that students feel interested in learning process using hypothetical deductive learning cycle model, score improvement of students' concepts mastery, the average value of n-gain by 0.71 by category high. Based on the analysis of data and discussion is concluded that the learning device with hypothetical deductive learning cycle model feasible for use in learning process. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan model siklus belajar hipotetik deduktif pada materi larutan asam basa yang layak untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran ini menggunakan model Research &Development (R&D). Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terdiri dari RPP, BAS, LKS, dan tes penguasaan konsep. Perangkat pembelajaran di uji cobakan terhadap siswa kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Gresik pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Rancangan uji coba menggunakan One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Validitas perangkat pembelajaran masing-masing memperoleh kriteria sangat valid/valid; (2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran dilihat dari keterlaksanaan RPP mendapat kriteria baik dengan rata-rata 3,48, keterbacaan BAS mendapat nilai rata-rata tingkat keterbacaan sebesar 58% sehingga tingkat keterbacaannya materi tepat untuk pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan ke arah pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa; dan (3) keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri dari respon siswa mendapat respon positif dari siswa sehingga siswa merasa tertarik pada proses pembelajaran menggunakan model siklus belajar hipotetik deduktif, skor peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa, rata-rata nilai  n-gain sebesar 0,71 dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran dengan model siklus belajar hipotetik deduktif layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning models on students' science process skills on the coordination system concept. This research was carried out in SMA Negeri 9 Tangerang Selatan in the 2017/2018 school year. This research method is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The study sample consisted of 73 students:  37 experimental group and 36 control group. The research instrument used is a test of science process skills in the form of a description test and observation sheet. The results of data analysis of students' science process skills using ANACOVA, showed that there were significant differences between the experimental and the control group. This shows that there was an effect of the application of the POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning model on students' science process skills on the concept of coordination system.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to produce science learning material by using cooperative learning model STAD and talking chips strategy that valid, practical, and effective to improve learning outcomes of  junior high school student?s. The development of learning material use the 4D model and was tested at junior high school students class VIII A, VIII C, and VIII F with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection used observation method, test, and quetionnaires. Descriptive data analysis of quantitative-qualitative results are: (1) Learning material on terms of a valid category of: (a) Validation of the instruments very good category (3,78), (b) Readability of book (92,9%) and worksheets (95,18%) are easier category for student?s; (2) Learning material on terms of practical category in: (a) Feasibility of instruction good category, (b) Obstacles for learning can be overcome; (3) The learning material effectiveness on terms of: (a) The response of student?s positively (96,3%), (b) Student?s activity is active category, (c) Student?s learning achievement increased the average of N-Gain 0,71 with high category. The analysis results of  statistic suggests that there is a difference between the learning outcomes before and after implementation of STAD cooperative models with talking chips strategy. The conclusion of this research that the model of cooperative learning STAD with talking chips strategy are eligible to improve learning achievement of junior high school student?s. The implications of this research are becoming students more daring to express opinions and be able to improve student learning outcomes of knowledge competence. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA model kooperatif tipe STAD dengan strategi talking chips yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model 4D dan diujicobakan pada siswa SMP kelas VIII A, VIII C, dan VIII F dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Analisis data secara deskriptif kuantitatif-kualitatif dengan hasil : (1) Kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) Hasil validasi perangkat berkategori sangat valid (3,78), (b) Keterbacaan BAS (92,9%) dan LKS (95,18%) berkategori mudah dipahami oleh siswa; (2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) Keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik, (b) kendala-kendala selama pembelajaran dapat diatasi; (3) Keefektifan ditinjau dari: (a) Respon siswa positif (96,3%), (b) Aktivitas siswa kategori aktif, (c) Hasil belajar siswa kompetensi pengetahuan meningkat dengan rata-rata N-Gain 0,71 berkategori tinggi. Hasil analisis uji statistik menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model kooperatif tipe STAD dengan strategi talking chips. Simpulan penelitian ini, bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA model kooperatif tipe STAD dengan strategi talking chips yang dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah siswa menjadi lebih berani mengemukakan pendapat dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kompetensi pengetahuan.

Abstract

Student Activity Sheet (SAS) based on guided discovery learning model is needed to improve students' scientific literacy. The type of research used in this study is research and development (R & D) until the limited testing phase and was conducted to 12 students of 11st grade of SMAN 1 Krian to know the effectiveness of the SAS. The instruments used in this study are the pretest-posttest sheet about students scientific literacy. The SAS stated effective if the posttest result for each domain of scientific literacy get percentage >75% with high or very high category The results showed that effectiveness includes scientific literacy test get high and very high category. From this research, the students scientific literacy has increased from pretest to posttest. The percentage of each domain of scientific literacy are Science Contex about 79,16%; Science Knowledge, Content knowledge about 75%, Procedural knowledge about 91,67%, Epistemic knowledge about 100%; Science Competence about 100%; and Science attitude about 100%.
