Jurnal Ilmiah Islamic Resources, published by Universitas Muslim Indonesia. The subject covers textual and fieldwork studies with various perspectives of law, philosophy, mysticism, history, art, theology, and many more. The journal invites scholars and researchers outside the Institute to contribute. Thus, Indonesian and non-Indonesian scholars have enriched the studies published in the journal. Although not from the beginning Jurnal Ilmiah Islamic Resources presents highly qualified scholarly articles, improvement—in terms format, style, and academic quality—never ceases. Now with articles written in Arabic and English and with the fair procedure of peer-review, Al-Jamiah continues publishing researches and studies pertinent to Islamic studies with various dimensions and approaches. Jurnal Ilmiah Islamic Resources, published twice a year, always places Islam and Muslim in the central focus of academic inquiry and invites any comprehensive observation of Islam as a theological belief and a system of society and Muslims as those who practice the religion with their many facets. This journal, serving as a forum for the study of Islam in Indonesia and other parts of the world within its local and challenging global context, supports focused studies of particular theme and interdisciplinary studies. Jurnal Ilmiah Islamic Resources has become a medium of diffusion and exchange of ideas and research findings, so much so that researchers, writers, and readers from various traditions of learning have interacted in the scholarly manner.

Abstract

This research is a literature study that the author uses, so that it can be seen that reason and faith as two fundamental things in humans affect what they believe and do in their life movements. Intellect provides information to faith about the truth that exists, as well as information about something that has been believed.

Abstract

Multiculturalism is the best expression that represents the face of Indonesia which describes the reality of this country by mentioning it as a country that has incomparable diversity on this earth. That the diversity of Indonesian society is destiny, it is a gift from God that is not to be bargained for but to be taken for granted. This diversity is a great potential in building and advancing the nation and state, but on the other hand, if this diversity potential is not managed properly it will become the seed of division and potential conflict in the community that can damage the unity and integrity of the nation. In fact, the diversity of religions and cultures gives birth to peace and shade for adherents and citizens. But in reality, religious and cultural differentiation sometimes triggers the emergence of tension and disharmony in society with various accompanying cases, so the values of moderation and multiculturalism are absolutely necessary as an alternative and solution to the attitude of diversity in society which tends to be radical and anarchic. The more complex and diverse the pattern of people's lives, including the pattern of community diversity with the presence of transnational religious and national understandings that can damage the integrity of the Indonesian nation, the role of educational institutions including higher education is very strategic in instilling and providing strengthening values of religious moderation and strengthening multicultural understanding. And that role is recognized and has received attention at the Muslim University of Indonesian Makassar, especially in teaching materials for religious subjects and in the Pencerahan Qalbu program

Abstract

The celebration of the Prophet's birthday is a heretical practice. This statement comes from people who do not understand how to issue laws from the Qur'an and Hadith. Although the celebration of maulid is something new in Islam, it has a foundation from the Qur’an and Hadith. Moreover, in the maulid commemoration, there are many values of obedience, such as gratitude, charity, listening to sermons and the importance of seeking knowledge, listening back to the history and example of the Prophet SAW as a sign of love for the Prophet SAW

Abstract

Education is something that lasts a lifetime. Education and coaching is the responsibility of all parties, not only the responsibility of the school or the family but also the responsibility of the community. These three institutions, which are referred to as the educational tri-center, establish cooperative relationships to form not only intelligent people, but also those who are cultured, civilized, and religious. The role of the family in fostering children includes providing protection, inculcating religious and scientific values, teaching skills and good behavior, setting rules, providing facilities for children's needs, and creating a comfortable and happy atmosphere. The role of schools in fostering children is as a formal institution that provides facilities in the process of child development as a whole starting from carrying out teaching, guidance, and potential development from various aspects so that they are able to develop in accordance with the expectations and norms that apply in society optimally. The role of the community in fostering children is not only as a service user but also contributes either with funds, goods or labor, participates in school activities or events and participates in making decisions by being part of the school committee.

Abstract

The activity of praying, saying salawat, sending salawat – whatever the term and in any form – to the Prophet Muhammad saw. is a hereditary habit. This is the most enduring habit and is always updated from generation to generation throughout the world where Muslims are located. How come? This activity was initiated and exemplified by the Creator and Ruler of this universe along with the Angels and then it is obligatory on all believers as in the word of Allah swt. Q.S:33/al-Ahzab:56.Salawat is also a form of expression of love for the Prophet. A collection of hadiths has also strengthened this command to pray in various forms of motivation to pray. This is proof of the noble position of the Prophet Muhammad. with Allah and among all existing creatures. This article will describe the issues that are considered relevant to this discussion, namely the Power of Salawat to the Messenger of Allah. includes the definition of salawat, the arguments and information related to salawat, the pronunciation of salawat from the Prophet and the Sufis as well as the benefits and virtues of salawat. The last is the influence of salawat in the life of a Muslim which is the cause of getting heaven in the hereafter.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of managerial competence of the Head of Public and Private Madrasah on teacher performance at madrasah Aliyah in Makassar. This research was conducted at Public and Private Aliyah Madrasahs in Makassar City with a population of 530 teachers from 25 Madrasah Aliyah (Public and Private). The sample determination used the slovin formula, namely 20 Madrasah Aliyah and 84 respondents. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis to explain research data and research descriptions, while to analyze quantitative data using multiple linear regression analysis tools. The results of this study prove that simultaneously the hypothesis of H0 diterma and H1 is rejected, namely the managerial competence of the Head of Public and Private Aliyah Madrasah simultaneously has no positive and significant effect on the performance of Madrasah Aliyah teachers in Makassar.And vartially, H0 hypetesis was accepted and H1 was rejected, namely the managerial competence of the Head of the Public and Private Aliyah Madrasah both did not have a positive and significant effect on the performance of madrasah Aliyah teachers in Makassar

Abstract

The main policy of national development consists of three pillars of education policy, namely: 1) equitable distribution and expansion of access to education, 2) Improving the quality, relevance, and competitiveness of educational outputs; 3) Improving accountability governance and public perception of educational management Social, political, economic, and scientific trends that have emerged in the era of globalization, namely the tendency for economic integration and free trade to emerge, demand management and education services that are global in scope and follow the currents of the times. The complexity of education issues on the one hand and the demand to improve the quality of human resources on the other hand causes the discussion about education to remain interesting and to be reviewed with the hope that this discussion will be able to bring up alternative solutions to develop the quality of human resources through the Tarbiyah Islamiyah route. Tarbiyah Islamiyah offers the concept of a balance between physical and spiritual education, is flexible, and is open to various types of information as long as it is in line with the Qur'an and Sunnah. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to thinking about how to improve the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article elaborated the posision of Quran and it exegecis in Tasawuf perspective. The research questions were how the essential of the Quran in Tasawuf perspective, and what kind of the exegecis method was used in that perpective. Collecting data based on library research, especially about Sufi’s saying on the essential of Word of God and their comments on the Quran. Analysing the data based on tafsir and tasawuf approach. The finding research showed that Word of God was a part of the attribute of God as a part of His self (dhat) in the first time; and the Quran that was received by Muhammad peace be upon him was as signified of Word of God. The Tasawuf perspective on the meaning of the Quran consist of two kinds, i.e. revealed the essential meaning of the Quran and brought out the meaning to be a guidance for the spiritual seeker (salik) to obtain Knowledge of God (ma’rifatullah).

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertema Penyuluhan tentang Bahaya Hoaks dalam Masyarakat pada Majelis Majelis Ta'lim Nurul Iman Desa Tamangapa Kecamatan Ma'rang Kabupaten Pangkep. Dalam konteks masyarakat Desa Tamangapa, tema ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang krusial, diantaranya (a) Jumlah pengguna internet di desa Tamangapa semakin meningkat dan akan terus bertambah.  (b) Internet telah menimbulkan pengaruh signifikan di bidang ekonomi, sosial, budaya, politik, hukum, pendidikan bahkan agama. (c) Internet mempengaruhi cara berpikir, perilaku dan interaksi di antara sesama manusia baik secara individu maupun kelompok. (d) Masih rendahnya budaya literasi di kalangan masyarakat Indonesia.  (e) Media sosial yang liar memiliki jumlah pengguna yang sangat tinggi di Indonesia. Peramasalahan di atas dipaparkan di depan Majelis Ta’lim sebagai bagaian penting dari sistem pendidikan nasional sebagaimana dalam Undang-Undang  No. 20 Tahun 2003 tentang sistem pendidikan nasional. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan, setiap pertemuan ditampilkan dua pemateri berdasarkan topik sebagaimana yang tertuang dalam satuan acara. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah mejelis ta’lim memahami tentang: (a) pentingnya penyuluhan tengtang bahaya hoaks terutama pada zaman digital; (b) pentingnya kecerdasan menerima dan memberi informasi yang Islami kepada pihak lain; (c) pentingnya pembentukan komunitas anti hoaks dalam masyarakat. Karena hoaks menjadi sumber konflik sejarah dari berbagai waktu.
