Abstract

This study aims to analyze the nurse's effective communication effect on patient handover. The method used is a systematic review by tracing articles on ScienceDirect, Ebsco and ProQuest using the terminology "handover" OR "handoff" AND "communication" OR "communicate" OR "communicating". The results showed that an effective strategy in the handover process was to use a collaborative approach between academics and physicians to improve patient safety and satisfaction, optimize resource use and ensure positive changes in practice. In conclusion, nurse's effective communication on patient handover improves patient safety and quality of patient care. Keywords: Nursing, Communication, Handover

Abstract

This study aims to determine the risk factors that influence premarital sex behavior among adolescents. The method used is a systematic review following the PRISMA guidelines by searching for articles in the Pubmed, Scopus, ScienceDirect and Proquest databases. The results showed that parental supervision had a significant indirect relationship with the premarital sexual behavior of adolescents through attitudes about premarital sex, attitudes about premarital sexuality and intention to behave sexually. Most adolescents have less sexual and reproductive health knowledge, especially early adolescents. As for attitudes towards premarital sexual behavior, the influence of friends is vital to do risky things that must be avoided. In conclusion, the risk factors influencing premarital sexual behavior among adolescents include lack of knowledge, adolescent perceptions of premarital sex, parental supervision, strong peer influence, weak information about health services and sex education for adolescents. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Pelvic Floor Muscle Training (PFMT) exercise on urinary incontinence in patients undergoing or after prostatectomy surgery. The method used is a systematic review of articles from the Pubmed, Proquest, ScienceDirect, SAGE and Scopus databases. The results showed that PFMT exercise or other combination therapies could strengthen the pelvic muscles and train the pelvic nerves in patients with urinary incontinence, improve quality of life, and reduce levels of depression and anxiety. In conclusion, PFMT exercise can be applied to treat patients by preventing or reducing the intensity of urinary incontinence in patients with prostatectomy. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of peer group support on the psychology of adolescents with acne vulgaris. The method used is a descriptive analysis of literature studies obtained from various national and international journal references from 2020-2021. The results showed that peer support could provide positive energy, especially for adolescents with acne vulgaris prone to feeling insecure. In conclusion, psychological peer group support can increase self-confidence, reduce anxiety levels and prevent adolescents from committing suicide due to their Acne vulgaris infection. Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of work from home, work from office and hybrid working on work motivation. The method used is the descriptive quantitative method. The results showed that the t-value of work from home was 2.451 (>1.65978), work from office was 1.179 (>1.65978) and hybrid working was 1.774 (>1.65978). The fcount value obtained is 2,964 (>2.70). Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of clinical leadership (quality of self, collaboration, managing services, improving service quality and setting goals) on the quality of nursing services at the University Hospital of North Sumatra. The method used is a cross-sectional survey of 94 respondents. The results showed that the p-value for the self-quality variable was 0.000, clinical leadership was 0.001 and the variable improved service quality was 0.004 for the quality of nursing services. In conclusion, there is an effect of self-quality, clinical leadership, managing services, improving service quality and setting goals on the quality of nursing services at the University Hospital of North Sumatra. Self-quality is the most influential variable in the quality of nursing services at the University Hospital of North Sumatra. Keywords: Clinical Leadership, Nursing, Quality of Service

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving shredded eel on the intake of protein, Fe and hemoglobin levels of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with one group pre and post-test design. The research sample was taken using a total sampling technique. The results showed that the average intake of protein, Fe and Hb levels after administration of shredded eel obtained a p-value of 0.000 and the significance value of each intake level was 0.000, 0.000, 0.001. In conclusion, there is a significant effect between the provision of shredded eel on the intake of protein, Fe and hemoglobin levels in patients with pulmonary TB. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of providing health education using audio-visual media, namely the application of SIPER-B (Information System for LBW Infant Care) on mothers' knowledge, confidence and skills in caring for low birth weight babies. The research method is quasi-experimental with a pre-test – post-test control group design. The results showed that the knowledge, confidence and skills in the intervention group were higher than in the control group, with a grand mean of knowledge of 19.36, self-confidence of 5.48, skills of 7.88 and a p-value of 0.000. In conclusion, the SIPER-B application effectively increases mothers' knowledge, confidence and skills in caring for babies with low birth weight (LBW). Keywords: LBW, Confidence, Skills, Knowledge

Abstract

This study aims to optimize video and leaflet educational media to increase nurse awareness about Nursing Audits at X Hospital. The method used is a pilot study. Data was collected through interviews, observation and questionnaires to 263 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using fishbone, preparation of a Plan of Action (POA) and educational media in the form of videos and leaflets. The results showed that the head of the room did not know the Nursing Audit process at the Hospital in the last two years. Unfavorable results were found in the organizational function of the head of the room (mean 2.2), especially statements about the involvement of nurses in the Nursing Audit process. In conclusion, a change in video educational media and leaflets is needed to increase nurses' understanding of Nursing Audits. Keywords: Nursing Audit, Nurse Awareness, Educational Media

Abstract

This study aims to determine peer counselors' influence in shaping smoking prevention behavior in adolescents in the work area of ​​Kalibaru Public Health Center, Cilincing District, North Jakarta. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test, then analyzed with non-parametric statistics using the McNemar test. The subjects of this study were 82 adolescents divided into two groups: the intervention group of 41 adolescents and the control group of 41 adolescents. The research instrument used a questionnaire on smoking prevention behavior, parents' role, peers' influence, and advertising's influence. The results showed that the p-value obtained in the provision of peer counselor intervention on adolescent smoking prevention was 0.000, the role of parents was 0.000, adolescent peers were 0.004 and the effect of advertising on adolescents was 0.000. In conclusion, there is a significant influence of peer counselor intervention on smoking prevention behavior in adolescents. Keywords: Peer Counselor, Smoking, Adolescent
