Abstract

This study aims to apply the effect of early mobilization on improving physical function in patients after CABG cardiac surgery based on the latest research results (Evidence-Based Nursing Practice). The method used was an experiment through the application of intervention for five days and continued with measurements on day 6 in the intervention group before the patient was sent home with the target being able to run (6'WMT). The research results show that the application of EBPN obtains a p-value of 0.005. In conclusion, there is a relationship between giving early mobilization interventions and functional ability with the 6 MWT test. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the modified valsalva maneuver in restoring sinus rhythm in patients presenting to the emergency department of the Harapan Kita National Heart Hospital Jakarta with Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT). The method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental research design. The results showed that the modified valsalva maneuver affected systolic and diastolic blood pressure and heart rate, with the average difference between pre and post-valsalva maneuver modification being 0.399 in systole; 0.075 in diastole; and a heart rate of 0.081. In conclusion, the valsalva maneuver modification is able to change the SVT ECG image into a Sinus Rythem ECG. Keywords: Modified Valsalva Maneuver, Emergency Treatment, Supraventricular Tachycardia

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of foot bath intervention on reducing symptoms of peripheral neuropathy in patients undergoing chemotherapy. The method used is a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test with a control group design. Data was collected using a Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy Assessment Tool (CIPNAT) questionnaire with a total sample of 66 patients consisting of 33 patients in the intervention group and 33 patients in the control group selected by consecutive sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed using paired t-tests and t-tests for independent groups. The results showed a difference between the mean value of peripheral neuropathy symptoms in the intervention group and the control group after treatment with a p-value of 0.0001 (p<0.05). In conclusion, a foot bath effectively reduces peripheral neuropathy symptoms in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Abstract

This study aims to systematically review several works of literature that discuss the impact of training or physical activity of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients undergoing hemodialysis on all factors that can improve the quality of life of CKD patients. The method used is a systematic review by browsing the literature on indexed electronic databases (Scopus, ScienceDirect, CINAHL, Pubmed, Oxford and SAGE). The results showed that the selection of appropriate and safe intradialytic exercises for patients was able to increase physical activity and sleep quality, leg muscle mass, stimulate bone alkaline phosphatase, which can prevent bone loss, lower blood pressure, improve respiratory function and functional capacity, improve physical function, reduce inflammation, improve nutrition, increase bone mineral density, improve exercise tolerance, increase Kt/V and increase the excretion of serum creatinine, blood urea and serum potassium phosphorus. In conclusion, intradialytic exercise during HD will improve the quality of life, decreasing morbidity and mortality of CKD patients undergoing HD. Keywords: Hemodialysis, Intradialytic, Exercise
