Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors associated with the incidence of Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) in pregnant women in the working area of the Oesapa Health Center. This type of research is cross-sectional with simple random sampling. The results showed that the percentage of pregnant women who experienced CED was 57.3%. Statistical test data showed that there was a significant influence between eating patterns, namely food frequency (p-value 0.015), amount of food (p-value 0.018), type of food (p-value 0.014), education (p-value 0.027), occupation ( p-value 0.038) and knowledge (p-value 0.004) with CED events. In conclusion, diet, education, work and knowledge affect the incidence of SEZ. Keywords: Pregnant Women, Chronic Energy Deficiency

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Access Device (PVAD) assessment for the prevention of phlebitis. The method used is a literature review by searching for articles in the Scopus, ScienceDirect, CINAHL, Pubmed, Oxford, and SAGE databases. The results showed that patient assessment on intravenous therapy is helpful for patients undergoing intravenous therapy. Assessment made during insertion can increase the safety of administering intravenous therapy. Nurses' perceptions of the safety of intravenous administration are increasing. Some of the literature states that the assessment does not have a standard. This assessment is appropriate for identifying the need for intravenous therapy and facilitating intravenous therapy intervention. An understanding of the administration of intravenous therapy supports the implementation of the assessment. In conclusion, peripheral vascular access device (PVAD) assessment has clinical value in screening for phlebitis prevention. Keywords: Phlebitis Prevention, Assessment, Peripheral Devices

Abstract

This study aims to identify collaborative practices in inpatient rooms and design improvement proposals according to applicable policies and standards. The method used is a pilot project using the Kurt Lewin stage of change approach. Data was collected through secondary data analysis, interviews, observations and surveys using questionnaires. There were 264 survey respondents consisting of primary nurses and associate nurses. Problem analysis was carried out using a fishbone, preparation of a plan of action, implementation, and evaluation of the structure and discussion based on the literature review. The results showed barriers to interprofessional communication in the inpatient room. The most common barriers between doctors and nurses are patient planning, implementation collaboration, and discharge planning. In conclusion, drafting the IPCP competency guidelines for nurses can support nurses in interprofessional collaboration practice in inpatient rooms. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenological description of the experiences of mothers caring for children with stunting at the age of 6-24 months. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological study design in mothers who care for children with stunting aged 6-24 months, with 15 participants selected by purposive sampling. The results showed that there were four main themes related to the experience of mothers caring for children with stunting aged 6-24 months, namely exclusive breastfeeding, the inappropriateness of MP-ASI giving, lack of mother's knowledge and non-fluent breastfeeding. In conclusion, the mother's experience in caring for stunted children, namely exclusive breastfeeding is incomplete, breastfeeding is replaced by Sufor, early MP-ASI giving, inappropriateness in giving MP-ASI, lack of knowledge of mothers about child growth, child nutrition and the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and non-current breastfeeding caused by heredity and only a little out. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of combining deep breathing relaxation techniques with guided imagery on the pain intensity of postoperative Sectio Caesarea (SC) patients. The method used was a quasi-experiment on women who underwent SC surgery. The results showed a significant effect after the intervention on pain intensity (p=0.000; d=2.876), accompanied by a significant change in pain intensity (p=0.000). In conclusion, breathing relaxation techniques in combination with guided imagery based on the comfort theory can reduce the pain intensity of post-SC surgery patients. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between workload and work stress of nurses in implementing nursing care in inpatient rooms. The method used is a cross-sectional survey with 69 respondents. The results showed that nurses had a light workload (68.1%) and nurses who experienced light work stress (60.9%). After statistical tests were carried out, it was found that there was a relationship between workload and work stress of nurses, with a value of p = 0.018 (<0.05). In conclusion, there is a relationship between nurses' workload and work stress in the inpatient room of Luwuk Banggai Hospital. Keywords: Workload, Implementation of Nursing Care, Work Stress

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effectiveness of collaborative interventions providing analgesic therapy of the Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) class in treating acute pain problems in patients with ureteral stones and right kidney stones. The method used is a single case study of patients with grade II & IV right hydronephrosis and right hydroureter ecausa distal ureterolithiasis UVJ level and right nephrolithiasis. The results showed that administering the NSAID class of analgesic therapy was effective as the first therapy for acute pain problems. Nurses have an important role in implementing collaborative interventions in administering analgesics, namely conducting pain assessments, assessing patient history, monitoring pain scales, observing patient responses to administering analgesics and helping patients improve comfort. In conclusion, the collaborative intervention of providing NSAID-class analgesics is effective in treating acute pain in patients with ureteral and kidney stones. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the critical thinking skills of clinical nurses in performing nursing care at the inpatient installation of Immanuel Hospital, Bandung. The method used was an analytic survey with a cross-sectional design on 161 clinical nurses at the inpatient installation of Immanuel Hospital, Bandung. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire which was then analyzed using the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression tests. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between nurse characteristics, motivation, anxiety, organization, health condition of nurses and critical thinking skills (p > 0.05), but there was a significant relationship between education (p = 0.009) and knowledge (p = 0.001 ) with critical thinking skills. In conclusion, two variables influence nurses' critical thinking skills, namely education and knowledge factors. Keywords: Nursing Care, Critical Thinking, Clinical Nurse

Abstract

This study aims to identify the work stress of nurses in Correctional Institutions (LP). The method used is a systematic review by searching articles on the Proquest, Pubmed and ScienceDirect databases with the keywords "occupational stress" AND "correctional facilities". The study results show that nurses' work stress in correctional institutions is closely related to work environment factors, prison inmate population and correctional management. In conclusion, work stress and fatigue among nurses in correctional institutions occur due to work environment factors, including high workload, the characteristics of prisoners and convicts, and the system that regulates correctional institutions, which can decrease work productivity and quality of care. Abstract

This study aims to determine the risk factors for stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months in the working area of Royal Prima Marelan Hospital. The method used is observational with a cross-sectional design. The results showed a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding, complementary breastfeeding, father's height, income and nutritional status with the incidence of stunting in children aged 24-59 months. The level of energy intake, protein intake, and maternal height did not significantly correlate with the incidence of stunting. In conclusion, the father's height factor has the most dominant relationship with the incidence of stunting. Keywords: Toddlers, Risk Factors, Stunting, Parents' Height
