Abstract

Digital transformation reshapes organizations, requiring leaders to leverage technology for enhanced performance. This study explores how digital leadership influences performance orientation through task-technology fit and artificial intelligence literacy in Indonesia’s creative and technology sectors. The objective is to examine the mediating roles of task-technology fit, the alignment of technology with tasks, and artificial intelligence literacy, the ability to use and understand artificial intelligence tools, in driving performance. A quantitative approach was employed, using a survey of 300 professionals in Yogyakarta, analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings show that digital leadership significantly enhances task–technology fit and AI literacy, which in turn strengthens performance orientation. Both mediators partially transmit leadership effects, revealing structural and cognitive pathways in digital workplaces. Organizations should invest in digital leadership development, AI literacy initiatives, and systematic alignment between workflows and technologies to build agile, performance-focused cultures. These efforts can enhance innovation, support evidence-based decision making, reduce technostress, and prepare creative and technology workers to collaborate effectively with AI.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of talent management on employee performance in the hospitality sector, focusing on a mid-sized four-star hotel in Bengkulu, Indonesia. The objective was to analyze the collective and individual effects of 11 talent management dimensions, namely company’s vision and mission, workforce planning and analytics, talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, succession planning, employee experience, change management, organizational development, total rewards, and diversity, equity, inclusion, on employee performance. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed, collecting data from 25 permanent employees using a questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale. Multiple linear regression was used to test hypotheses, with classical assumption tests ensuring model validity. The findings revealed that the 11 dimensions collectively significantly impact employee performance, explaining 61.3% of performance variance. However, only employee experience and change management showed significant individual effects, likely due to their role in fostering engagement and adaptability, while other dimensions were not significant, possibly due to high turnover and resource constraints in the hotel setting. In conclusion, prioritizing Employee Experience and change management can enhance service quality, offering practical strategies for hotel management to improve performance.

Abstract

Tourism plays a vital role in regional economic growth and community empowerment, particularly in island regions such as Madura, where abundant coastal and marine resources hold significant potential for sustainable tourism development. This study aims to analyse how financial inclusion and the use of digital technology can promote the development of tourism potential in Madura, with digital literacy as a moderating variable. Data was obtained through a survey of tourism stakeholders and related MSMEs in the Madura region. The analysis technique used was Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that financial inclusion and digital technology have a positive and significant impact on tourism potential development. Digital literacy also has a direct positive impact on tourism potential; however, its role as a moderating variable yields varied results. Digital literacy does not significantly moderate the relationship between financial inclusion and tourism potential, while in the relationship between digital technology and tourism potential, digital literacy negatively moderates the relationship.  This study provides policy implications for local governments and financial institutions in expanding targeted financial access and digital education to strengthen the local economy through tourism.

Abstract

The increasingly dynamic business environment compels modern service companies to continuously strengthen their competitive advantage. Despite extensive studies on strategic and digital capabilities, empirical research that simultaneously integrates strategic planning, business innovation, digital transformation, and organisational agility—particularly within the modern service sector—remains limited. This study aims to examine the effects of these four strategic factors on the competitive advantage of modern service companies in West Java Province. This research adopts a quantitative causal approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 134 managers of modern service companies across financial services, tourism, transportation, education, and information and communication technology sectors. The data were analysed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that strategic planning, digital transformation, and organisational agility have positive and significant effects on competitive advantage. Conversely, business innovation exhibits a significant negative effect, suggesting that innovation initiatives that are not strategically aligned or organisationally prepared may undermine competitiveness in service-oriented firms. The model demonstrates strong explanatory power, with the independent variables jointly explaining a substantial proportion of the variance in competitive advantage. This study contributes to strategic management literature by providing empirical evidence on the differentiated roles of strategic, digital, and organisational capabilities in shaping competitive advantage within the modern service sector. Practically, the findings highlight the importance of prioritising strategic clarity, adaptive capability, and purposeful digitalisation, while managing innovation selectively to ensure alignment with organisational readiness and market needs.   Keywords: strategic planning; business innovation; digital transformation; organisational agility; competitive advantage; modern service companies

Abstract

The N219 Amphibious Aircraft, developed by PT Dirgantara Indonesia, is positioned as a strategic solution to Indonesia’s persistent challenge of inter-island connectivity, particularly in remote and underdeveloped regions. As part of the national strategic project, the aircraft carries both technical significance and symbolic value in supporting economic development, defense readiness, and national industrial transformation. However, its limited market impact highlights the need for a more integrated and narrative-driven marketing communication strategy. This study analyzes the current communication approach of the manufacturer and proposes enhancements based on four key theoretical perspectives: customer value proposition design, market-driving strategy, purpose-driven branding, and strategic narrative theory. Using a qualitative method that includes stakeholder interviews and narrative analysis, the research reveals that existing communication remains overly technical and fragmented. To address this, a multidimensional communication model is proposed, connecting product-level messaging with broader national policy narratives. The conclusion emphasizes that the N219 must be framed not merely as a transportation product, but as a national policy tool that advances Indonesia’s development goals, technological sovereignty, and global positioning. These insights contribute to the strategic marketing of high-technology products in public sector and defense-oriented industries.

Abstract

The cryptocurrency market, particularly Bitcoin, exhibits extreme volatility, necessitating robust forecasting tools for informed trading decisions. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of linear regression and trend moment models in predicting Bitcoin prices using daily data from 2022 to 2024. Historical closing prices were collected from reliable cryptocurrency exchanges, cleaned to ensure consistency, and augmented with relative strength index and moving average convergence divergence indicators to enhance predictive accuracy. The models were trained on 2022–2023 data and tested on 2024 data, with forecasting accuracy measured using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error metric. The findings revealed that linear regression achieved a lower error rate of 36.44% compared to Trend Moment’s 39.21%, demonstrating superior performance in stable and trending market conditions. Both models struggled with volatile price swings, though linear regression proved more adaptable when incorporating technical indicators. These results suggest that linear regression offers a practical, computationally efficient solution for short-term Bitcoin price forecasting, particularly for retail traders. Future research could explore hybrid models or additional predictors to improve accuracy in volatile markets, contributing to accessible forecasting tools for the cryptocurrency domain.

Abstract

This study analyzes the level of customer satisfaction with the implementation of hospital management standards in several private hospitals. Customer satisfaction in the healthcare sector is a key indicator of service success. Increasing competition among private hospitals in Samarinda demands hospital management that meets standards to ensure customer satisfaction. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design. A sample of 150 patients from three accredited private hospitals was purposively selected. The analysis reveals that staff competency & authority, facilities & safety management, quality improvement & patient safety, and medical information & records management significantly contribute to improving outcomes, as indicated by p-values below 0.05. Infection prevention & control shows a marginal effect approaching significance, whereas hospital governance does not demonstrate a meaningful impact. The findings emphasize the central role of professional capability and operational support in driving performance improvements. Good implementation of hospital management standards is closely related to high customer satisfaction. The hospital needs to maintain and improve the quality in aspects with lower scores. Future research is recommended to expand the variables and sample for broader generalization.

Abstract

Work-life balance has become a critical issue in the hospitality industry, which is characterized by high service demands, irregular working hours, and intense work pressure. Despite the growing body of literature on work-life balance and employee performance, empirical evidence focusing on the hospitality sector in Indonesia remains limited. This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance on employee performance in a four-star hotel in Bandung, Indonesia. A quantitative approach with a descriptive and verificative design was employed. The research population consisted of 50 hotel employees, and a saturated sampling technique was applied. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed through simple linear regression. The results indicate that work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, explaining 26.1% of performance variance. This finding suggests that while work-life balance plays an important role in enhancing employee performance, other factors also contribute substantially. The study provides empirical support for the strategic importance of work-life balance policies in service-oriented organizations and offers practical implications for hotel management in improving employee well-being, productivity, and retention. Furthermore, this research contributes to the literature by enriching contextual evidence from the Indonesian hospitality industry and highlighting directions for future research on comprehensive human resource management strategies.   Keywords: work-life balance; employee performance; hospitality industry; employee well-being; productivity
