Abstract

This study examines how information system interoperability within public primary healthcare networks influences the effectiveness of quality control processes. Using a cross-sectional mixed-methods design, data were collected from heads of public health centers, quality officers, and district-level health data managers. Quantitative measures included the interoperability maturity index and index, complemented by qualitative interviews and document analysis to examine feedback mechanisms and governance practices. Multivariate regression analysis showed that interoperability maturity was positively associated with quality control effectiveness. Mediation analysis revealed that feedback loop intensity significantly mediated this relationship, while moderation analysis indicated that leadership and data governance strengthened the impact of interoperability on quality control effectiveness. These findings highlight that interoperability improves quality control not only through technical integration but also through structured feedback processes and strong governance arrangements. The study contributes a measurable and auditable process model for data-driven quality improvement in primary healthcare and underscores the importance of semantic standardization, disciplined feedback cycles, and institutionalized data governance to support sustainable quality improvement.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a key catalyst in reshaping human resource management practices, requiring organizations to continuously adapt employee competencies in response to rapid technological change. This study aims to examine the relationships between digital transformation, competency adaptation, and human resource development in contemporary organizational settings. The research adopts a qualitative design using a systematic literature review approach, synthesizing evidence from 50 reputable peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that organizational agility, leadership, and technological readiness serve as major antecedents enabling effective digital adaptation in human resource development. The results further show that digital transformation contributes to improved employee competencies, stronger innovation capability, and more sustainable workforce performance. However, the review also identifies several challenges, including technostress, digital fatigue, and job insecurity, particularly when digital initiatives are implemented without sufficient human-centered strategies. Overall, the findings highlight that successful human resource development in the digital era depends on a balanced integration of technological advancement, human capabilities, and ethical digital governance. This study offers a theoretical contribution by proposing an integrated framework linking digital transformation, competency adaptation, and human resource development, while also providing practical insights for organizations in designing adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable digital transformation strategies.

Abstract

Side hustles among academics are becoming increasingly relevant, yet research on side hustle intention in higher education remains limited, particularly regarding the roles of expressive orientation and instrumental orientation. This study aims to examine the relationships between individual skill variety, self-efficacy, and side hustle intention, while exploring the moderating effects of expressive and instrumental orientations. Data were collected cross-sectionally from 400 lecturers in Indonesia and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that both individual skill variety and self-efficacy positively influence side hustle intention. Additionally, expressive and instrumental orientations strengthen these relationships. The results enhance understanding of how motivational orientations support side hustle engagement and contribute to the development of models grounded in self-determination theory. The study suggests that fostering side hustles through skill development, self-efficacy enhancement, cross-functional training, mentoring, and flexible work arrangements can benefit both individuals and institutions. Moreover, promoting side ventures can generate socio-economic advantages, stimulate innovation, and inspire entrepreneurial behavior within academic communities, particularly among younger generations.

Abstract

Hospital supply chains face increasing complexity, requiring strategic supplier relationships beyond transactional interactions. Despite their critical importance, supplier satisfaction remains underexplored in healthcare logistics literature. This study investigates how hospital commitment, trust, and communication influence supplier satisfaction in healthcare supply chain contexts, adopting a supplier-centric perspective. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted at Hospital X Bandung, Indonesia, achieving complete census participation from 60 suppliers across six product categories. Path analysis examined relationships among commitment (9 items), trusth(4 items), communication (11 items), and supplier satisfaction (6 items) using validated 7-point Likert scales. The model explained 62% of supplier satisfaction variance (R²=0.620, F=30.422, p<0.001). Commitment exerted the strongest total effect (24.4%), followed by trust (19.7%) and communication (17.9%). All path coefficients achieved statistical significance (p<0.05). Descriptively, trust performed best (M=5.30), while communication showed critical deficiencies (M=4.02), particularly in supplier site visits (M=1.85) and strategic information sharing. Relational factors significantly influence supplier satisfaction in hospital supply chains. Hospitals should operationalize commitment through consistent behaviors, build trust via transparency, and enhance strategic communication beyond transactional exchanges. These relationship investments may yield improved supply chain resilience, preferential resource allocation.

Abstract

This study examines non-tax state revenue from driving license retribution in the Indonesian National Police, emphasizing transparency, accountability, and key influencing factors during 2009–2012, with an evaluation extended to 2023–2024. The research aims to measure gaps between potential and actual revenue, assess transparency mechanisms, analyze the effects of motor vehicle numbers, population aged 15 and above, and related expenditure, and evaluate implications for police transformation. A quantitative descriptive method calculated potential revenue from issued licenses and tariffs, compared to actual realizations. Panel data regression with generalized least squares tested the factors across 31 provinces. Results reveal an average gap of negative 14.86 percent in 2009–2012 due to reporting errors and blank distribution issues. All factors positively affect revenue, with expenditure showing the strongest impact at 0.42 percent per one percent increase. The gap improved to negative 4.71 percent in 2023–2024, indicating partial progress. Enhancing administrative accuracy, optimizing expenditure, and improving transparency are essential to maximize revenue and advance police governance and accountability.

Abstract

The rapid digitalization of financial services has transformed global banking, yet the adoption of Islamic digital banking remains limited in emerging economies. The study examines the effects of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value, habit, and personal innovativeness on customers’ behavioral intention to adopt Islamic digital banking. This study investigates the determinants of Islamic digital banking adoption in Indonesia by extending the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 3 (UTAUT3) with Islamic lifestyle as a moderating factor. The research uses quantitative and survey data from 147 active Islamic banking customers across Sumatra and employs Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that all UTAUT3 constructs significantly and positively influence adoption intention, indicating that both rational–instrumental and behavioral–psychological factors shape digital banking decisions. Furthermore, Islamic lifestyle significantly moderates these relationships, enhancing the impact of technological and behavioral determinants when services align with Islamic values. The study contributes theoretically by integrating UTAUT3 with Islamic Lifestyle Theory and offers practical guidance for Islamic banks and policymakers to design Sharia-compliant digital strategies that combine efficiency with ethical and religious value alignment, highlighting the importance of value congruence in sustainable adoption.

Abstract

Zakat, Infaq, and Alms (ZIS) Management Institutions rely heavily on public trust to ensure sustainable long-term support. Despite its importance, the existing literature still lacks an integrated model linking organizational operational performance with stakeholder behavioral outcomes. This study aims to assess how institutional practices, including communication, perceived competency, and disbursement, influence trust and subsequently affect stakeholder attitudes and behavioral intentions toward ZIS institutions. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal-descriptive design. Data were collected through a survey of ZIS Institution stakeholders and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that trust is a central factor that significantly shapes stakeholders’ attitudes and behavioral intentions. Specifically, perceived competence is the strongest and most significant predictor of trust. In contrast, the fund disbursement variable was found to be insignificant in building trust. Trust has significant predictive power in shaping attitudes, but its influence on behavioral intentions is moderate. The main contribution of this study is to provide empirical evidence that ZIS institutions’ efforts should focus on improving managerial competence and professionalism, not just on the fund distribution process, as a strategic key to increasing public trust.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in regional economic growth and employment, yet many face limitations in both market expansion and long-term business sustainability. The rapid development of digital technology offers new opportunities through digital marketing, although many practices remain generic and overlook local cultural values. This study examines the effect of integrating digital marketing and local wisdom on MSME performance in North Sumatra Province using a quantitative approach with a survey design. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. The sample included MSMEs in locally rooted sectors such as culinary and handicrafts that actively use digital media. The results indicate that digital marketing and local wisdom both have positive and significant effects on enterprise performance, and that both factors together significantly explain the variance in sales growth, market reach, and business sustainability. This study contributes by proposing a culture-based digital marketing model for MSMEs and offers practical implications for entrepreneurs and policymakers to integrate digital capabilities with local cultural storytelling in the digital economy era.
