Abstract

Impulsive buying behavior has become increasingly prevalent among university students in the digital era, as spontaneous purchasing is shaped by the interaction of psychological factors such as personality traits and socio-digital engagement through sharing economy platforms. This study aims to examine the influence of personality traits and sharing economy participation on impulsive buying behavior among students. Employing a quantitative approach with a causal-associative design, the study involved the university students with samples selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression using SPSS. The results reveal that both personality traits and sharing economy participation have positive and significant partial effects on impulsive buying behavior. However, when tested simultaneously, these variables account for only 6.9% of the variance in impulsive behavior, while the remaining 93.1% is influenced by other factors. These findings confirm that students’ impulsive behavior is a multidimensional phenomenon, shaped not only by personality and digital engagement but also by complex emotional and social dynamics.

Abstract

Smart governance is a key pillar in smart city development, requiring not only technological advancement but also sufficient policy capacity and supportive organizational factors such as innovation culture, human-centric approaches, and collaboration. This study analyzes policy capacity and success factors of smart governance implementation in Tangerang City. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research applies the policy capacity framework and the smart governance success factor. The findings indicate that while the Tangerang City Government demonstrates relatively strong operational capacity and innovation performance, analytical capacity remains constrained by data quality and limited analytical human resources. Moreover, human-centric design, digital culture sustainability, and collaborative governance have not yet been fully institutionalized. This study concludes that strengthening policy capacity in conjunction with innovation culture, digital literacy, and collaborative governance is essential to achieving transformative and sustainable smart governance. The findings imply that local governments should invest strategically in human resource development, improve data governance and analytical capabilities, and prioritize user-centric digital services to enhance the effectiveness, responsiveness, and inclusiveness of smart governance initiatives.

Abstract

The rapid development of VoD services has triggered changes in Generation Z consumption behavior and uncertainty regarding the factors that drive their intention to resubscribe. This study examines the behavior of Generation Z consumers who use Video on Demand (VoD) services Netflix, Disney+, and Viu in terms of revisit intention, considering the role of experiential quality as a mediating variable and co-creation (represented by product variation) as a moderating variable. The research approach uses a quantitative method with a purposive sampling technique on 570 VoD user respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Square (PLS) regression with the help of SmartPLS 3 software. This study found that subjective norms and attitudes have a positive and significant effect on revisit intention among Netflix, Viu, and Disney+ users, while behavioral control only has an effect on Netflix and Viu. Experiential quality mediates some relationships for Netflix and Disney+, but is not significant for Viu, and product variation does not moderate its effect on revisit intention. These results indicate that social influence, positive attitudes, and quality of experience drive Gen Z’s revisit intention on VoD services, while product variation has a minimal role.

Abstract

In recent years, financial technology has grown rapidly worldwide, including in Indonesia, where the majority Muslim population has encouraged the development of sharia-based financial services. Despite this growth, research on Islamic financial technology remains limited. This study aims to explore public interest in investment activities that channel capital to micro, small, and medium enterprises through sharia peer-to-peer lending. This research uses a quantitative research design and the technology acceptance model as the theoretical framework. Data were collected from active users of one of Indonesia’s sharia peer-to-peer lending platforms. The research variables include perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and religiosity as an extended variable. The findings indicate that perceived ease of use and religiosity positively influence investment interest, whereas perceived usefulness shows no significant effect. These results suggest that user-friendly platform design and alignment with religious values are more critical drivers of investment interest than perceived financial benefits, providing practical implications for Sharia financial technology providers to enhance adoption by focusing on usability and religiosity-based features.

Abstract

Coconut is a strategic commodity with high economic potential in West Sulawesi Province, yet its development and utilization remain suboptimal. This study aims to identify and strengthen the investment potential of coconut as a leading sector in the region. A participatory and systematic mapping approach was employed, combining secondary and primary data from planning documents, official statistics, field observations, and focus group discussions. Analytical methods included location quotient, shift share, and Klassen typology to assess the economic significance of coconut across regencies. The results indicate that coconut is a basic and growing commodity, particularly in Polewali Mandar Regency, with strong contributions to regional income. The development of coconut processing industries, especially coconut shell briquettes, shows high prospects due to abundant yet underutilized raw materials. Financial feasibility analysis confirms the viability of investment projects (NPV of IDR 24.94 billion, IRR 29%, Payback Period 3.9 years). This investment not only offers economic returns but also creates employment, increases farmers’ income, and promotes environmentally friendly energy. Strengthening synergies among government, business actors, and communities is recommended to support targeted and sustainable investment policies in coconut commodity development.

Abstract

Increasing service demands in tourism-based health facilities heighten the risk of burnout among healthcare workers. This study investigated the effects of workload and work motivation on burnout among healthcare workers in tourism-based clinics in Indonesia, focusing on emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment. A cross-sectional analytical design was applied to 124 doctors and nurses within the Klinik OMSA Medic Bali network. Workload was assessed using NASA-TLX, motivation with the Nursalam Motivation Scale, and burnout with the Maslach Burnout Inventory. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations, multiple linear regression, and mediation testing using Hayes PROCESS Model 4 with 5,000 bootstrap samples. Emotional Exhaustion was the most prevalent burnout dimension. Results showed that workload significantly predicted higher levels of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization. Work motivation was significantly associated with lower emotional exhaustion and depersonalization and higher personal accomplishment, indicating a protective role. However, motivation did not mediate the relationship between workload and any burnout dimension, as indirect effects were not significant. Workload emerged as the main contributor to burnout, while motivation functioned as a supportive but non-mediating factor. Organizational strategies aimed at workload management and motivation enhancement are recommended to reduce burnout and sustain healthcare service quality.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in regional economic development, yet many still face limitations in marketing capability and institutional support, making entrepreneurial experience and government intervention essential factors in enhancing business performance. This study analyzes the influence of entrepreneurial experience and government support in improving the marketing performance of MSMEs fostered by the Deli Serdang Regency P3UD. The study was conducted on 115 MSMEs using Multiple Linear Regression. The results indicate that entrepreneurial experience and government support significantly influence marketing performance. Experience fosters prudence in business processes, while government support, although not yet optimal in providing expertise, proves crucial in facilitating licensing and promotion. This study highlights the importance of synergy between the internal capacity of entrepreneurs and the role of external government facilitators. The findings imply that strengthening entrepreneurs’ experiential capabilities alongside more targeted and skill-oriented government support is vital to achieving sustainable improvements in MSME marketing performance.

Abstract

Organizational leadership and culture play a critical role in shaping how organizations are perceived by the public and key stakeholders. This study examines whether organizational culture mediates the relationship between charismatic leadership and corporate reputation. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a questionnaire survey employing a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using mediation analysis and structural equation modeling to examine both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The findings reveal that charismatic leadership positively influences corporate reputation and organizational culture, while organizational culture also exerts a positive effect on corporate reputation. Furthermore, organizational culture partially mediates the relationship between charismatic leadership and corporate reputation, indicating that a strong and supportive culture enhances the effectiveness of charismatic leadership in building a positive organizational image. These results suggest that organizations should integrate leadership development initiatives with cultural strengthening strategies to improve their reputation and sustain stakeholder trust. Therefore, managers should focus not only on developing charismatic leaders but also on cultivating a culture that aligns with organizational values to maximize reputational outcomes.

Abstract

In public-sector organizations, effective supply chain management is crucial to ensure operational efficiency and service reliability. Vendor performance and trust are key determinants of procurement success, yet systematic evaluations in higher education institutions remain limited. This study aims to measure supply chain performance in a public organization using the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model, with vendor reliability serving as a proxy for supplier trust. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, using secondary procurement data of consumable goods collected from the Logistics Division of Universitas Padjadjaran over 2022–2024. Performance indicators included on-time delivery, number of purchase orders, contract value, and annual reliability trends, which were aggregated into key performance indicators to assess vendor consistency and operational reliability. The results show that most vendors achieved on-time completion rates above 95 percent, reflecting very high operational reliability and stable service performance. Longitudinal analysis indicates a consistent pattern of reliability, suggesting that procurement planning, contract management, and performance monitoring have been effectively implemented. These findings confirm the applicability of the SCOR framework in evaluating public-sector supply chain performance and provide evidence supporting data-driven procurement governance and continuous performance improvement in higher education institutions.
