Abstract

Sustainable food consumption is increasingly important for reducing environmental pressure and supporting healthier consumption patterns, yet the role of price sensitivity in shaping such intentions remains theoretically ambiguous. This study examines whether environmental concern, health consciousness, and electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) mediate the relationship between price sensitivity and sustainable food consumption intention among Generation Z consumers. The study surveyed 200 Generation Z respondents who had viewed promotional or review content on Instagram and had consumed sustainable food at Nanamia Pizzeria or Warung Bumi Langit at least once during the previous six months. Purposive sampling was used, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The direct effect of price sensitivity on sustainable food consumption intention was positive but did not reach statistical significance at the conventional 5% level (β = 0.1289, p = 0.0593). In contrast, the specific indirect effects through environmental concern (β = 0.1390, p = 0.0009), health consciousness (β = 0.0956, p = 0.0097), and e-WOM (β = 0.1049, p = 0.0036) were significant. The findings indicate a pattern consistent with indirect-only mediation: price-related evaluations appear to translate into sustainable food consumption intention primarily when accompanied by environmental, health-related, or socially transmitted value. The study contributes to sustainable consumption research by clarifying how price sensitivity may operate through multiple value-justification mechanisms in a Generation Z green-restaurant context.   Keywords: Price Sensitivity; Sustainable Food Consumption Intentions; Environmental Concern;  Health Consciousness; Electronic Word of Mouth

Abstract

The increasing reliance on digital touchpoints has made it essential for hotels to understand how customers’ online experiences contribute to long-term value and loyalty. This study analyzes the effects of the digital customer journey and customer lifetime value on customer loyalty. It examines the mediating role of customer lifetime value in the relationship between the digital customer journey and customer loyalty. A quantitative approach was employed using purposive sampling, involving 212 guests of Artotel. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.1.0.0. The findings show that both the digital customer journey and customer lifetime value positively and significantly affect customer loyalty. Furthermore, customer lifetime value significantly mediates the relationship between the digital customer journey and customer loyalty. These findings contribute to theory by providing empirical evidence of the interconnected roles of digital experiences, customer value, and loyalty. The results highlight the importance of developing integrated digital strategies that enhance customer experiences and strengthen long-term customer relationships.

Abstract

Effective implementation of the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) for Seafarers requires maritime training institutions to translate regulatory requirements into routine educational and administrative practices. This study examines the associations of communication, organizational resources, implementer disposition, and bureaucratic structure with reported STCW compliance. The analytical sample comprised 484 eligible respondents from 20 institutions, selected from 500 initial observations using prespecified quality criteria. Reliability analysis, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, institution-clustered regression, HC3 estimation, random-intercept modelling, and sensitivity analyses were conducted. The correlated five-factor measurement model showed excellent fit, χ2(175)=184.031, p=0.305, CFI = 0.997, RMSEA = 0.010, and SRMR = 0.032, and substantially outperformed the single-factor model. The controlled model explained 30.9% of the variance in reported compliance. Communication, organizational resources, implementer disposition, and bureaucratic structure were positively associated with reported STCW compliance. Implementer disposition made the largest unique contribution. The findings indicate that reported compliance is associated with clear regulatory communication, adequate organizational resources, committed implementers, coordinated responsibilities, and stable administrative procedures.

Abstract

This study reframes halal-oriented skincare innovation from a formulation-centered issue into a Skin Health Management problem involving product evidence quality, halal assurance, claim credibility, consumer value, and responsible skincare behavior. Using a theory-driven conceptual synthesis supported by preliminary product-development evidence, the study uses a multi-active emulgel as an illustrative product case. The prototype exhibited a pH of 5.8 ± 0.2, viscosity of 3450 ± 150 cPs, spreadability of 5.3 ± 0.3 cm, no visible phase separation during the reported observation period, and a DPPH IC50 of 42.1 ppm under the applied assay conditions. These findings are treated as product evidence rather than proof of clinical anti-aging efficacy. The study proposes an Evidence-to-Value Framework for Skin Health Management in which Product Evidence Quality, Halal Assurance Quality, and Claim Credibility shape a Responsible Product Value Proposition that supports Perceived Long-Term Consumer Value and Responsible Skincare Consumption. Skin Health Management is conceptualized as an overarching long-term management perspective encompassing evidence-informed product selection, preventive orientation, consistent and appropriate use, outcome monitoring, safety awareness, and responsible consumption. The framework contributes to management literature by introducing an evidence-to-value perspective that explains how technical product evidence can be translated into responsible market value and long-term skin health management..   Keywords: skin health management; halal skincare; product evidence; consumer value; claim credibility; responsible consumption
