Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of consumer behavior in mediating the influence of virality, digital marketing, and product enhancement on the desires of MSMEs in East Java. This study expands our understanding of the impact of digital marketing, product enhancement, and virality on the desires of MSMEs in East Java, focusing on diverse consumer behavior. With a quantitative approach, this study uses a survey method with a questionnaire as the main instrument, involving 160 respondents from various cities in East Java, including Surabaya, Malang, and Mojokerto. The variables explained include digital marketing (X1) consisting of social media indicators, websites, and mobile marketing; product enhancement (X2) such as product quality and innovation; and virality (X3) which includes content creativity and the use of influencers. Consumer behavior (Y) focuses on satisfaction, loyalty, and interest, as well as MSME desires (Z) which are measured through profitability and public acceptance. The results of the analysis show that digital marketing has a positive effect on consumer behavior, which has an impact on increasing customer loyalty and satisfaction. In addition, product enhancement and virality significantly affect the desire of MSMEs, with consumers more interested in modern and popular products.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of climate change on regional fiscal policy in Java, Indonesia, focusing on how temperature and rainfall changes influence fiscal spending. Using secondary data from the ERA5 Satellite (2008–2020) and fiscal data from the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (Direktorat Jenderal Perimbangan Keuangan/DJPK), this research examines 113 districts/cities on Java Island. Climate change indicators—average temperature and rainfall—serve as independent variables, while regional fiscal spending on climate-related initiatives is the dependent variable. Panel data analysis is conducted using three regression models: common effect (OLS), fixed effect, and random effect models, with the Chow and Hausmann tests to identify the most appropriate model. Results indicate a positive relationship between climate change (temperature and rainfall) and increased fiscal spending for climate adaptation and mitigation. The findings support the hypothesis that regions with higher temperatures and increased rainfall experience greater climate-related fiscal spending, highlighting the urgency for such measures in areas farther from the equator.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the willingness of visitors who deliberately come to pay to help in managing and organising Bandengan Beach ecotourism as well as possible and to analyse the estimation or amount of entrance ticket levy in Bandengan Beach ecotourism area in an effort to maintain the environment. Respondents in this study were 54% female and 46% male. The respondents through questionnaires that were answered and processed, provided information that the value of the cost that is considered reasonable for visitors is Rp. 5,949, - per person. The results of this study indicate that the income variable, age variable and education variable, do not influence the dependent variable, namely willingness to pay. While the frequency of visits and knowledge variables have an influence on the dependent variable of willingness to pay. . Keywords: Tourism, Willingness to Pay, Environmental Quality

Abstract

This study examines the effect of liquidity on company performance in the cyclical consumer sector listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) with a focus on 40 companies for a five years from 2019-2023. This study uses panel data regression analysis and purposive sampling techniques, with the dependent variable being profitability as measured by return on equity (ROE). Independent variables consist of current ratio and quick ratio, while control variables include tangible assets, company size, company age, inflation rate, and GDP growth. The results show that the current ratio produces a positive effect on company performance, while the quick ratio shows a negative effect. In addition, tangible assets and company size do not have a significant effect on company performance. The age of the company proved to have a negative influence, while the inflation rate did not show a significant influence. On the other hand, GDP has a positive influence on company performance. The results of this study can be taken into consideration for companies in making strategic decisions to increase profitability in the cyclical consumer sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the performance of employees of the Malinau Regency Education Office with a focus on servant leadership, human resources (HR) training, motivation, and job satisfaction as mediating variables. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Square (PLS) method on 66 employees. The results showed that servant leadership has a significant influence on employee performance with a contribution of 61.4%. HR training displays the strongest influence with a coefficient of 0.942, indicating that the quality of training directly improves performance. Motivation made a positive contribution of 25.6% to employee performance. Job satisfaction proved to play an effective role as a mediating variable between servant leadership, HR training, and motivation. The study concluded that a holistic approach through servant leadership, quality training, and a comprehensive motivation system can create a productive work environment. The locality context of Malinau Regency provides a unique perspective in the study of human resource management in a region with specific geographical and socio-cultural characteristics.

Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing stock performance in banking institutions listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period. A quantitative approach using panel data regression is applied to assess the impact of internal financial metrics—such as Earningss per Share (EPS), Dividend per Share (DPS), Price-to-Earningss Ratio (P/E), and Book Value per Share (BVPS)—as well as external macroeconomic variables, including inflation, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and bank size, on Market Price per Share (MPS). The study employs the random-effect model, along with statistical tests such as Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier, to determine the most suitable regression model. The results reveal that EPS, BVPS, and bank size have significant positive impacts on MPS, indicating that higher profitability, strong intrinsic equity value, and larger institutional size are associated with better stock performance. In contrast, DPS, P/E, inflation, and GDP show no significant influence, suggesting that investors in the banking sector focus more on other aspects, such as EPS, BVPS, and bank size rather than the amount of dividends distributed, share price compared to profitability, inflation, and GDP.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social commerce platforms such as TikTok Shop has reshaped consumer purchasing patterns, especially among younger generations. In October 2023, the Indonesian government temporarily restricted TikTok Shop’s transactional activities due to concerns over its potential impact on local MSMEs, before allowing it to resume operations through a joint integration with Tokopedia in 2024. This regulatory shift highlights the importance of understanding both psychological and digital factors that influence purchasing decisions within interactive online platforms. This study aims to examine the influence of price perception, lifestyle, and customer reviews on the purchasing decisions of Somethinc products via TikTok Shop. A quantitative research method was employed using probability sampling techniques, and data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that price perception, lifestyle, and customer reviews each have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. The model demonstrates an R-Square value of 0.713, suggesting that the three variables explain 71.3% of the variance in purchasing decisions. Theoretically, the findings reinforce the Theory of Planned Behavior and Signaling Theory, emphasizing that consumer perceptions and external digital stimuli—such as online reviews and brand credibility—affect intention-based decision-making. Managerially, companies are advised to enhance price transparency, align with consumer lifestyle trends, and leverage interactive review features and live-commerce strategies. Future research should consider additional moderating variables such as customer engagement or brand trust and expand the demographic coverage.   Keywords: price perception, lifestyle, customer review, purchase decision, tiktok shop, digital marketing
