Abstract

This research aims to enhance learning motivation, material selection and student’s process of Education, Program Study of Mechanical Engineering, second semester in 2006/2007 of academic year, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta, by using question and answer method with reward. Used kind of research is class action research. This research uses two cycles preceded by preliminary research. Both these cycles, each consisting of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Conducted action taken is by providing rewards for student participation in learning activities. Awards given to each of cycles are different, in the first cycle the awards given are additional value, meanwhile on the second cycle are certificate. Awards obtained from scoring on the observed activity. Application of the method of conversation with rewards obtained there is increasing of learning activity significantly, students become more active and the situation of learning more dynamic and fun. Increasing of student motivation is also indicated by an increase in the value of the test cycle. The average value of the introduction is 4.22 increasing at cycles I to 5.64. Meanwhile, to increase the second cycles to 7.02. beginning by the execution of this research, the use of learning methods of material selection and appropriate process is necessary in order to create a dynamic learning activities and conducive, so it is expected to get better learning results.

Abstract

Employees' performance is affected by some factors, such as, attitude of human resources, work management and mechanism, and facilities. This research is aimed at obtaining valid and reliable information related to the effect of leadership style, organizational culture, and work motivation on employees' performance or Regency/Municipal Offices of National Education in South Sulawesi Province. 135 respondents were chosen randomly using the formula of Cohen to be the samples of the study. The data were collected by survey technique and analyzed by path analysis. The data analysis and interpretation indicated that employees' performance is affected directly by leadership style, organizational culture, and work motivation. The findings lead to the conclusion that any changes occurred at the employees it could be affected by leadership style, organizational culture, and work motivation. It implies that leadership style, organizational culture, and work motivation should be improved in order to have better performance of employees of Regency/Municipal Offices of National Education in South Sulawesi Province besides other additional variabels.

Abstract

This research aims to develop creativity test. This research was conducted in Jakarta. Validity and relaibility test were designed with three calibration phases: (1) expert assessment phase, (2) empirical test phase Phase I, and (3) an empirical test phase II. Samples were selected based on purposive cluster random sampling. Factor analysis of empirical test involving 200 students in the sample, showed that the dimensions developed by the results of the factor analysis in accordance with the theoretical. The results showed that the test alliteration reading creativity consists of five dimensions, namely (1) the smoothness of thinking, (2) flexibility of thinking, (3) originality of ideas, (4) the new arrangement, and (5) of detail. Five dimensions are translated into 18 grains of questions or statements as a stimulus in generating creative ideas. Results of factor analysis showed that each factor has a load factor greater than 0.3. Results of factor analysis showed that the creativity test contains 4 items figural tests and 12 tests verbal. Creativity tests developed have α reliability coefficient of 0.822. Ɵ amounted to 0.866, and Ω is 0.944.

Abstract

This causal research aims to assess the direct of the promotion, service quality, and image toward the decision making student at the universitas State of Jakarta. The data where collected from a randomly selected sampel of 383 student University State of Jakarta. The research was implemented during five months from August until October 2010. The questionnaire was signed by Likert sale. A path analysis technique was employed to analyse the data descriptively and inferentially. The research finding show that (1) a direct effect of the promotion toward the image, (2) a direct effect of the service quality toward the image, (3) a direct effect of the promotion toward the decision making, (4) a direct effect service quality toward the decision making, (5) a direct effect image toward the decision making. These finding suggest that the promotion, Service quality, and image were determining factors toward the decision making student at the University State of Jakarta, hence the research need to take into consideration for developing of University of Jakarta.

Abstract

this research aims to investigate, examine, and develope coaching model to prepare college graduate in determine the first step career choice. This program adopted by company which succeed to improve individual performance. Career coaching program made students ready to face worklife challenges. The data in this research consisted of quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data obtained from the questionnaire structured that assessment used a graduated scale and psychological test for each participants. The questionnaire was distributed to determine the maturity of careers for college graduates of Psychological data can be very important data as the data was used by coach to explore participants potential. As to determine the effectiveness of using qualitative data, researchers conducted observation (field tests) directly, focus group discussion (FGD) and interviews with informants. Based on interviews, observations and field testing of this program has a very decent interpretation of the category. This program can be run by someone who have coaching skills. A high level of competence possessed a coach would greatly affect the successful of this program. At the end of this study will produce a learning model which is "career coaching".

Physical Education and Sport (PENJASOR) is essentially a Education processes that utilizes physical activity (motion) to produced a holistic change in individual quality, like on physical, mental, and emotional. Physical education treated the children as a unified whole, total creature, rather than just think of it as someone who separated physical quality and mental. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to develop a English learning material model for an Extracurricular Program in Elementary Schools. A Research and Development methodology was used involving the following steps: analyzing students’ and teachers’ needs, evaluating the existing learning materials, designing a new learning materials, validating the learning materials by experts, revising learning materials, trying out the learning materials, and revising learning materials. It was found that the existing learning materials were not appropriate for the students’ characteristics and were not organised in a systematic way. Students and teachers indicated that they appreciated enjoyable English language learning materials such as songs, stories and games. Based on these findings a new model for developing materials was developed for Extracurricular English Program in Elementary Schools.

Abstract

Abstract: The students of elementary school, who were from kindergarten have shown up a significant performant performance compared to those who were not, especially in the first class. According to percentage of comparison for Tangerang Major in intellectual aspect is 86,31: 71,38; psychomotor, value and attitude is 72,99: 49,45. whereas Tangerang City in intellectual aspect is 90,07: 70,95; psychomotor, value and attitude is 74,44: 60,65. The statistic for Tangerang Major in intellectual aspect showed to > tt0,05, or is equal 3,06 > 2,2; psychomotor, value and attitude showed to > tt0,05, or 2,39 > 2,2. Whereas the questionnaire for headmaster and the teacher's first class is 61,25: 73,33. Abstrak: Siswa SD yang pernah mengenyam pendidikan TK menunjukkan kinerja yang lebih signifikan dibandingkan dengan yang tidak, terutama siswa di kelas satu. Adapaun persentase perbandingan di Kabupaten Tangerang dalam aspek intelektual menunjukan 86,31:71,38; nilai psikomotor dan sikap menunjukan 72,99:49,45. Sedangkan untuk Kota Tangerang pada aspek intelektual menunjukan 90,07:70,95; dan psikomotor nilai dan sikap menunjukan 74,44:60,65. Statistik untuk Kabupaten Tangerang dalam aspek intelektual menunjukkan bahwa to>tt0,05, atau 3,06>2,2; nilai psikomotor dan sikap menunjukkan to>tt0,05, atau 2,39>2,2. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims at producing a set of contextual-learning based training package for teachers of inclusive school to teach hearing impaired students. Background of the development’s training package are not available the training about hearing impairment’s instructional yet, and needs of teacher with the absence of particular instructional competency for hearing impaired students in an inclusive school. Borg and Gall’s Research and Development methods were employed in this study followed with an Instructional Development Model (MPI) to develop the package.This study results in the production of a set of contextual-learning-based training package for teachers to teach hearing impaired students, it includes the design of training, user’s guide for instructure and participant, 4 modules accompanied with a soft-copy (CD) of training materials that have been tested the effectivity, efficiency, and feasibility. The research resulting some of implication and recommendation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan satu set paket pelatihan berbasis pembelajaran kontekstual bagi guru sekolah inklusif untuk mengajar siswa yang terganggu pendengarannya. Latar belakang dari paket pelatihan pengembangan ini tidak tersedia pelatihan tentang gangguan pendengaran ini instruksional belum, dan kebutuhan guru dengan tidak adanya kompetensi pembelajaran tertentu untuk mendengar siswa terganggu pada sekolah inklusif. Borg dan Gall Penelitian dan Pengembangan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diikuti dengan Pengembangan Model Instruksional (MPI) untuk mengembangkan hasil penelitian package.This dalam produksi satu set paket pelatihan berbasis kontekstual-learning bagi guru untuk mengajar siswa terganggu mendengar , itu termasuk desain pelatihan, buku petunjuk untuk instruktur dan peserta, 4 modul disertai dengan soft-copy (CD) dari materi pelatihan yang telah diuji efektivitas, efisiensi, dan kelayakan. Penelitian dihasilkan beberapa implikasi dan rekomendasi.

Abstract

Abstract: this research aims to know the various learning style that was adopted by student of Building techniques Education, and to know the tendency learning style student of Building techniques Education. The sample chose as random with using technical Election stratified with sample presentation which taken every strata is Sam. The research result about the tendency student learning style accodring to David kolb show the average scores High to lob is Diverger type (62,5%); accomodator type (25,96%); Converger type (6,73%); and Assimilator type (4,81%). On the other hand, student learning style according De Porter & Hernacki show average scores from High to lob is Kinestetic (45,19%); Visual (43,27%); and auditorial (11,54%) Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui berbagai gaya belajar yang dianut oleh maha-siswa Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan, serta mengetahui kecenderungan gaya belajar mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan. Sampel dipilih secara random dengan menggunakan teknik pemilihan berstrata dengan prosentase sampel yang diambil pada tiap strata adalah sama. Hasil penelitian tentang kecenderungan gaya belajar mahasiswa menurut David Kolb menunjukkan ha-sil rata-rata dari besar ke kecil adalah tipe Diverger (62,5%); tipe Accomodator (25,96%); tipe Con-verger (6,73%); dan tipe Assimilator (4,81%). Sementara gaya belajar mahasiswa menurut De Porter & Hernacki menunjukkan hasil rata-rata dari besar ke kecil adalah Kinestetik (45,19%); Visual (43,27%); dan Auditorial (11,54%).
