Abstract

The program is implemented in Pungguk Beringin Merigi Kelindang Bengkulu Tengah. The purpose of this program is to provide the knowledge and skills of rural communities in Pungguk Beringin on utilization Hydraulic ram. Participants were representatives of community activities. The solution provided is the application of Parallel Methods Hydraulic ram. Through these program, installation Hydraulic ram diameter of 2 inches can be generated about 10 liters of effluent water in each minute with to a height of 50 meters and250 meters from water source. Abstract

The purposes of this community service are to improve SME’s owner’s skill in using simple technology for their business and to amend their inventories and sales management by using Android Management Information System Application. This community service was conducted in Kandang Limun, Bengkulu City, in 2017. The target society was the owners of SME retails around location. There were 15 owners of SME retails. The methods used were persuasive approach, demonstrations and practices, accompaniment, and evaluation. The content of training were simple financial report recording and i-REAP and Barcode application by Android. The result shows that this activity was done well. Each step was followed seriously by the participants. After training, 50% of the owners still applied simple accounting recording, 30% owners used i-REAP, and 20% owners used both. Finally after accepting this training, 100% owners who used both manual accounting recording and i-REAP were able to know the amount of goods inventory and sales better than before accepting the training. Keywords: android, sales information system, i-REAP

Abstract

Code of points, an artistic gymnastics competition assessment guideline set out in the gymnastics competition's rule book that governs the regulation of the assessor's tasks, stages, and levels of gymnast's age and its characteristics both junior and senior. The purpose of the code of point is, 1) that the junior gymnast can develop up to the peak of achievement at the senior level, 2) so that the gymnast can perform safely and avoid injuries that interfere with the physical development of the gymnast, 3) so that the assessment can be carried out with the same guidelines and not to be misunderstood. The target audience of community service are PJOK teachers both who work in the elementary, junior high school education units and as gymnastic trainers. The results of the activity show that the teachers and trainers have mastered the code of point assessment in gymnastic learning, so that the teacher is able to 1) solve the problem by examining the series of gymnastic movements at Olimpiade Olahraga Siswa Nasional(O2SN) branch exercises, 2) mastering the sign of body parts if there are mistakes in making the movement so that the value is reduced; 3) understand the level of small, medium and large errors, specifically about bending angle errors of less than 150, bending angles between 150 to 300, and bending with angles of more than 300. 4) assessing aesthetic elements in carrying out movements, including flexibility of motion, structuring the movements in shaping synchronization (specifically for female gymnasts to harmonize with accompaniment music), order and structure of movements. 5) able to assess movements that contain special requirements (requirment) in the artistic gymnastics of the floor such as there must be an acrobatic element, a gymnastic element, the press balance element persists for a certain time.

Abstract

Pesantren, one of the containers and education community, is still considered less promising quality of general education for example in the form of appropriate technology and information technology. Technology misuse can indeed endanger the development of students, but if gives direction and carefully supervised by educators, of course technological developments can provide a soft skill that can be used by students after completing education from pesantren. Students in pesantren have a potential to be given material about the introduction of technology in various sciences and basic computer applications. The aim is the students are not surprised by the demands of post-pesantren technology as has been done by providing training on basic computer applications and the use of e-libraries. In addition, appropriate technology in the field of agriculture and fisheries is also transmitted to students to create a fish pond combined with aquaponic vegetation, such as vegetables. KKN program has provided many benefits related to learning and community empowerment. University of Bengkulu (UNIB),the nearest state university of pesantren, implement this KKN-PPM program through students from various disciplines and has been totally implemented in three pesantren and Bengkulu, such as Al-Hasanah, Hidayatullah, and Pancasila.Keywords: students, appropriate technology, pesantren, softskill

Abstract

Community Service Activities for Residual Diversification of Processed Products Home Industry Syrup Kalamansi in Bengkulu Tengah has been completed. This activity aims to reduce the residual volume of unused Kalamansi syrup yields, the production of high value essential oils and various essential and economically valuable essential oil-based citrus oil products. In this activity we have conducted training on the way of extraction of essential oil from citrus peel residue and crude fiber (dregs) leftover of Kalamansi syrup using direct steam distillation method, followed by training of various essential oil based health products in form of aromatherapy roll oil, and Antiseptic liquid soap. From the results of the activities that have been done, the essential oil from the residue of Kalamansi syrup made of clear liquid smelling orange Kalamansi. It has also been produced several products made from active essential oil of orange Kalamansi such as wind oil roll on, liquid bath soap, lotion and liquid washing soap. The four products have a typical citrus scent Kalamansi, but need to be refined formula to produce a quality product and selling value. Keywords: Citrus Kalamansi, Steam Distillation, essential oils, wind aromatheraphy oil.

Abstract

Central Lebong Sub District is one district that has significant potential in the district Lebong. The biggest potential is in agriculture, including food crops, plantations and fisheries. Although it has great potential, but there are still many problems faced by the region administration in the District Lebong Lebong Central. The programs that have been implemented as a solution for dealing with problems in the target areas IBW III is 1) Procurement of equipment to support the manufacture of palm sugar ants and entrepreneurial activity, 2) Increased production of palm sugar ants, 3) Trained making of coffee powder, 4)  trained making palm civet coffee, 5) trained making of ginger coffee, 6) Increased production of coffee Brown Sugar, 7) Improved the economic of women through entrepreneurship training, 8) Promotional products through direct sales and exhibition, 9) Home gardens for garden plants, inland fisheries, and livestock in an integrated way, 10)  Environmental health education and the availability of clean water, 11) Trained the manufacture of fish feed for the farmer groups, 12) Provided assistance toilet facilities. Keywords: palm sugar, products diversification, refined palm sugar, IbW palm coffee

Abstract

Kasus fenomena  dimasyarakat saat ini adalah kekerasan seksual yang banyak menimpa siswa PAUD/TK dan SD. Ssurvey dan penelitian di Indonesia membuktikan tingginya kasus kejahatan seksual pada anak, banyaknya anak di bawah umur dapat mengakses situs-situs pornografi, kuangnya pengawasan dari keluarga, serta kurangnya penjelasan tentang seks. Maraknya kasus pelecehan dan kekerasan seks dikalangan masyarakat ini menyadarkan kita akan pentingnya mengembangkan materi pendidikan seks untuk anak usia dini dan kesehatan reproduksi anak.Peran dan tanggung jawab seorang akademisi sekaligus berprofesi bidan adalah meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat mulai dari bayi baru lahir hingga usia lanjut. Bidan merupakan penggerak masyarakat dalam bidang kesehatan dan keselamatan masyarakat. Beberapa tugas penting bidan adalah sebagai advokator, edukator, fasilitator, dan motivator kesehatan. Salah satu tugas bidan sebagai edukator adalah memberikan pendidikan seks dini pada siswa sekolah dasar. Pendidikan seks adalah penerangan yang bertujuan untuk membimbing serta mengasuh setiap anak laki-laki dan perempuan, sejak dari anak-anak sampai dewasa didalam prihal pergaulan antara kelamin pada umumnya dan kehidupan seksual pada khususnya. Pendidikan seks dini merupakan salah satu cara pencegahan terjadinya kekerasan dan pelecehan seksual pada anak. Kegiatan  ini telah dilakukan di dua sekolah yaitu SD Negeri 24 Lingkar Timur dan SD Negeri 83 Teluk Sepang Kota Bengkulu. Hasil evaluasi diketahui bahwa adanya peningkatan pengetahuan anak tentang seks dini dan kesehatan reproduksinya, sehingga dengan adanya pendidikan ini anak-anak dapat mencegahan terjadinya kekerasan dan pelecehan seksual serta menjaga kesehatan tubuhnya secara baik, dan sebagai keberlanjutan pengabdian telah dibentuk wadah Bimbingan dan Konsling Seks Dini dan Kesehatan Reproduksi Anak di masing-masing sekolah.

Abstract

The increasing of age followed by the decreasing of cell function which causes organ weakness, physical deterioration, as well as the appearance of some disease especiallydegenerative diseases, such as the increasing level of the glucose, uric acid, andcholesterol in the blood. At the beginning, usually those diseasesdo not indicate definitesymptomps, so they could be detected only if the complications and damages wereappeared. Delayed diagnosing and providing adequate treatment could increases the riskof mortality, morbidity, and disability on elderly, so it is necessary to do routine andperiodic examination of health on elderly to filter the onset of symptomps of the diseases.In this program we did the examination of blood level of glucose, uric acid, andcholesterol on elderly (> 60 years old) at Klinik Pratama Asy Syifa Kota Bengkulu tosocialize the importance of routine and periodic health examination for early detection ifcomes the problem in examination, and the adequate treatment could be given as soon aspossible.Keywords: elderly, examination, blood glucose, uric acid, cholesterol

Abstract

Avian influenza (AI) has become a problem for livestock industry mainly for Indonesia poultry industry. It will cost for some economic values and activities, furthermore, it will also disturb the people’s daily lives for the probability of H5N1 virus transmission (from animal to human) which can be lead to deadly case in poultry and humans infected. By a collaboration with Dinas Kelautan, Peternakan dan Perikanan (DKPP), researchers have visited some schools including SMA Negeri 3 Pondok Kelapa, SMP N 2 Giri Mulya and SD Negeri 7 Kerkap. The purpose of this study was to establish school based educative shelter in order to improve student’s knowledge on AI issue. By a series of activities, extension on AI biosecurity activities followed by a practical demo on AI biosecurity and educative shelter establishment. Three (3) shelters were established in SMA Negeri 3 in District of Pondok Kelapa, SMP Negeri 2 in District of Giri Mulya and SD Negeri 7 in District of Kerkap. Keywords: Avian Influenza, Educative Shelter, IbM, Students Perceptive
