Abstract

The purpose of this study is to characterize the physical, chemical, organoleptic properties, and analyze the advantages of palm mushroom meatballs. This study used a Complete Random Design (RAL) with 5 treatments, namely the comparison of the composition of palm mushrooms and mocaf flour 30%: 70%, 40%: 60%, 50%: 50%, 60%: 40%, 70%: 30%. The results showed that the average yield of palm mushroom meatballs was between 54% and 82.26%. The average texture of palm meatballs is highest in the treatment of the composition of palm mushrooms and mocaf flour 30%: 70% with a texture value of 26 mm. The higher the composition of palm mushrooms, the more textured the meatballs tend to be softer or less chewy. The average moisture content of palm meatballs was the lowest in the treatment of the composition of palm mushrooms and mocaf flour 60%: 40%, which was 9.80%. The average protein content of palm mushroom meatballs was the highest in the treatment of the composition of palm mushrooms and mocaf flour 70%: 30%, which was 16.58%. The higher the composition of palm mushrooms, the higher the protein content of palm mushroom meatballs. The average fiber content of palm mushroom meatballs is the highest in the composition of palm mushrooms and mocaf flour 70%: 30%. The average fat content of palm mushroom meatballs is the highest, which is 70%: 30%. Based on organoleptic analysis, palm mushroom meatballs with a composition of palm mushrooms and mocaf flour 60%: 40% gave the highest assessment, namely in terms of color 3.60 (like), taste 3.85 (like), and texture 3.90 (like). From the results of the analysis of the profit obtained in one month of production amounted to Rp.6,327,500.

Abstract

Corn and ketapang seeds can be processed into snack bar because they are high in carbohydrates and contain protein and fiber. This research aims to analyze the physical, chemical, organoleptic properties, best formulation of snack bars based on corn flour and ketapang seeds. In this study, there were 6 variations in the ratio of raw material composition treatments, namely wheat flour: corn flour (0:50; 25:25; 50:0) and the addition of ketapang seeds (25, 50). The research results show that the average yield for snack bars is between 64.29% and 73.81%. The highest average snack bar texture was in the composition treatment of wheat flour: corn flour: ketapang seeds 0:50:25, namely 3.34 mm. The lowest average water content of snack bars was in the composition treatment of wheat flour: corn flour: ketapang seeds 25:25:25, namely 18.78%. The highest average protein content of snack bars in the treatment composition of wheat flour: corn flour: ketapang seeds 0:50:50 was 9.28%. The best formulation of snack bar based on organoleptic parameters is the treatment of the composition of wheat flour: corn flour: ketapang seeds 0:50:50 with a color value of 3.65 (like), taste 3.65 (like), aroma 3.80 (like, and texture 3.95 (like).

Abstract

The vegetable plant that is in great demand and has economic value is the tomato plant (Solanum lycopersicum). The use of mulch will affect soil temperature and moisture so that it can overcome the lack of water. This study aims to determine the best type of mulch and watering frekuency to support the growth and production of tomato plants. This research has been carried out in the agricultural land of the La'o farmer women's group, Wali sub-district, Langke Rembong sub-district, Manggarai regency. The experiment used a two-factor Group Randomized Design (RAK), namely the frequency of watering (P1 = Watering once a day, P2 = Watering twice a day) and the use of various types of mulch (M0 = Without the use of mulch, M1 = straw mulch, and M2 = Silver black plastic mulch). The results showed that P2M2 treatment was the best treatment on plant height growth parameters (27.92 cm, 43.41 cm, 62.33 cm), number of leaves (60. 83 strands, 106.75 strands, 148.00 strands) age 14, 21, 28 HST, Flowering age (21.00 days) and fruit weight per sampel (2283.66 grams).

Abstract

Telur yang disimpan pada suhu ruang biasanya dapat bertahan sekitar 10-14 hari. Setelah periode tersebut, telur mengalami perubahan seperti penguapan air melalui pori kulit telur yang menyebabkan penurunan berat telur, perubahan komposisi kimia, dan pengenceran isi telur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai kualitas telur ayam ras setelah direndam menggunakan biji pinang (Areca catechu). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan berbeda, diulang sebanyak empat kali, dengan setiap ulangan terdiri dari lima butir telur ayam ras dan melibatkan 20 panelis semi terlatih untuk uji organoleptik. Perlakuan yang diterapkan yaitu: P0 = Telur tanpa perendaman menggunakan ekstrak biji pinang, P1 = Telur direndam dengan ekstrak biji pinang 15%, P2 = Telur direndam dengan ekstrak biji pinang 30%, dan P3 = Telur direndam dengan ekstrak biji pinang 45%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa indeks kuning telur (IKT), indeks putih telur (IPT), bobot telur, dan Haugh Unit (HU) tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan setelah direndam dengan ekstrak biji pinang. Namun, penggunaan ekstrak biji pinang sebanyak 45% dapat mempertahankan kualitas telur ayam konsumsi selama 21 hari penyimpanan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengatahui besar keuntungan rumah tangga petani-ternak pada sistem integrasi sapi perah dengan usahatani tanaman pakan ternak berdasarkan skala luas tanam beserta faktor yang mempengaruhi di Kelompok Ternak KUD Sumber Makmur Kecamatan Ngantang, Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2023 sampai dengan bulan Juli 2023 pada kelompok ternak KUD Sumber Makmur, Kecamatan Ngantang, Kabupaten Malang. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 83 peternak sapi perah dan dibulatkan menjadi 100 peternak. Metode analisis data yang digunakan terdiri dari analisa perhitungan penerimaan dan pendapatan. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa besaran keuntungan rumah tangga petani-ternak pada sistem integrasi sapi perah dengan usahatani tanaman pakan ternak berdasarkan skala luas tanam di Kelompok Ternak KUD Sumber Makmur Kecamatan Ngantang, Kabupaten Malang mencapai hingga Rp12,260,152,905 per tahun. Kontribusi usaha ternak sapi perah terhadap pendapatan rumah tangga dari sistem integrasi sapi perah dengan usahatani tanaman pakan ternak sebesar Rp. 306,374,427/tahun dengan presentase 32,04%. Kedua hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa rumah tangga petani – ternak sapi perah rakyat sistem pertanian berkelanjutan yang dinaungi oleh KUD Sumber Makmur layak untuk dikembangkan.

Abstract

The disease that causes many losses to tomato plants is brown spot caused by the fungus Alternaria solani. One effort to control brown spot disease is to use vegetable pesticides. The research method used a randomized block design (RAK), namely binahong leaf vegetable pesticide consisting of 5 treatments: P0= no treatment, P1= 15 mL binahong leaf extract + 85 mL water, P2= 30 mL binahong leaf extract + 70 mL water, P3 = 45 mL binahong leaf extract + 55 mL water, and P4 = 60 mL binahong leaf extract + 40 mL water. The treatment was repeated 3 times, so that there were 15 beds. The results of research on the binahong leaf vegetable pesticide in treatment P4 (60 mL binahong leaf extract + 40 mL water) had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height and number of leaves. Meanwhile, treatment P2 (30 mL of binahong leaf extract + 70 mL of water) had a significant effect on the intensity of attacks

Abstract

Perubahan iklim akibat pemanasan global menyebabkan timbulnya berbagai penyakit yang menyerang tubuh manusia. Tanaman obat dengan aktivitas imunomodulator dapat meningkatkan imunitas tubuh untuk mencegah dan mengobati berbagai penyakit. Tulisan bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi mengenai jenis tanaman obat dengan aktivitas imunomodulator dan pengenalan apotik hidup sesuai prinsip permakultur. Metode penulisan disusun berdasarkan kajian literatur dari jurnal nasional dan internasional. Hasil review diperoleh beberapa tanaman obat untuk meningkatkan imunitas tubuh yaitu Zingiber officinale, Curcuma domestica, Curcuma xantorrhiza, Echinacea purpurea L dan Clitoria ternatea. Pengembangan tanaman obat secara mandiri dapat melalui apotik hidup dengan menanam berbagai tanaman obat secara organik pada lahan pekarangan rumah. Inovasi apotik hidup secara organik dapat meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas tanaman obat, serta sesuai prinsip permakultur untuk menjaga kehidupan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Alluvial soils are usually dense, so organic matter needs to be added to improve their structure. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of biochar and manure on the availability of nutrients N, P, K, and corn growth on alluvial soils. The method used in this study is using a complete randomized design with six treatments, namely control (P0), 100% biochar (P1), 100% fertilizer (P2), 75% biochar and 25% fertilizer combination (P3), 50% biochar and 50% fertilizer provision (P4), and 25% biochar and 75% fertilizer (P5) each repeated four times. The results showed that the mixture of biochar from rice husk and chicken manure did not significantly affect soil pH and organic carbon, the mixture had a significant effect on N-total, P-available, K-dd, plant height, and stem diameter of corn plants.

Abstract

The physical properties of soil are environmental factors that greatly influence the amount of water and air in the soil and indirectly influence the amount of nutrients in plants. The agricultural sector of the Anjunga Melancar community has quite large potential, one of which is rice cultivation, unfortunately in this case there are still obstacles in the community, namely that good and appropriate land management methods have not been found. There are several ways to manage rice fields so that they can produce rice effectively, one of which is by knowing the physical properties of the soil. The method used for this research is a Free Grid Survey method at a detailed survey level with a map scale of 1:10,000. Observation points are determined using a physiographic system which is based on land map units obtained from the overlay of administrative maps, land use maps, soil type maps and also slope class maps. The area of land studied was 60 hectares and consisted of 4 land units. The results of the assessment of the physical properties of the soil at the research location are seen from the suitability of the land as follows: Land Unit 1 rooting media (thickness of peat) is the limiting factor, Land Unit 2 is the limiting factor for rooting media (thickness and maturity of peat), Land Unit 3 rooting media (peat maturity). The color of the soil in each Land Unit is dominated by brown to dark brown.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji seberapa besar peningkatan performa produksi sapi bali pada musim paceklik melalui perbaikan manajemen pakan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di UPTD pembibitan ternak Golo Mongkok, Kabupaten Manggarai Timur pada bulan Agustus s/d Oktober 2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kombinasi metode survey dan pengamatan/pengukuran pakan serta dimensi tubuh ternak secara langsung di lapangan. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi pemberian pakan dilakukan tiga kali sehari yakni diberikan pada pagi hari pukul 07.00, siang hari pukul 15.00, dan malam hari pukul 23.00 merupakan metode pemberiaan pakan yang ideal. Kombinasi jenis pakan rumput lapangan, king grass, lamtoro, gamal dan jerami padi (pakan formulasi II) mampu meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH) pada induk sapi sebesar 0,52 kg/ekor/hari, dan pada pedet sebesar 0,39 kg/ekor/hari.
