Abstract

The Covid-19 virus has had a very big impact, especially for the world of education. The impact that occurred in the world of education was experienced by several private universities, especially the HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar University (UHKBPNP). As a result of the COVID-19 virus, universities are required to make changes to learning procedures that were previously done face-to-face to online learning. However, the challenge for universities is the diversity of origin of the students themselves.  This study aims to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on online learning satisfaction. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The number of students who were used as informants in this study were 169 people consisting of active students in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Water Resources Management Study Program and Mathematics study programs who were randomly selected. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the majority of students at UHKBPNP have devices to support online learning, it can be seen from the percentage of device ownership of 94%. However, there are still some dissatisfactions faced by students when online learning is carried out such as: students feel they cannot easily monitor the progress of online learning, cannot obtain learning materials easily nor can they learn material easily. Overall, both from the technology side and the lecturer side, students are not satisfied with the online learning method they are currently living and also dissatisfied with the lecturer's ability to deliver material in online learning

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has reshaped people's lives, attacking the Indonesian state and spreading throughout the world. This condition necessitates that all teaching and learning take place online. However, students continue to face numerous obstacles during implementation. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the responses provided by students during the performance of online mathematics learning and to ascertain their suggestions and desires for the subsequent semester's implementation of mathematics learning. The study used a descriptive qualitative research approach to select 373 students as research subjects. The data collection method was a google form, and students were asked to provide an open response regarding their wishes and expectations for online mathematics education in the following semesters. The findings indicated that students expected face-to-face instruction to facilitate direct interaction with teachers and other students. Additionally, students desire to improve their ability to learn and organize their learning more effectively. Additionally, students express their opinions and responses about online mathematics education, including the level of mathematics material and technology (utilization of the zoom platform). Additionally, deadlines for extending tasks, the use and utilization of instructional videos, and the explanation of mathematics material are more comprehensive. Teachers can use the findings of this research to evaluate mathematics learning in order to improve their classroom instruction, and other teachers can do the same thing.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of learning management on the learning achievements of Christian education. The data analysis methods used were simple correlation analysis method, simple linear regression analysis and t test. The samples in this study were 95 Christian students of state senior high school. The relationship between Learning Management (X) and Learning Achievement (Y) amounted to 0.661. The correlation relationship rate was in the high category. So there was a positive relationship with the low category between Learning Management and Student Learning Achievement. R Square of 0.437 this showed that the influence of Learning Management with Student Learning Achievement was 43.70% and the remaining 56.3% was influenced by other factors not discussed in this study. The t test was conducted by comparing tcount and ttable. In accordance with the testing requirements that tcount (3,580) > ttable (0,2796), this means that the variables of Learning Management have a positive and significant influence on the Student Learning Achievement. Thus Ho refused and Ha was accepted. Considering the high influence of learning management on learning achievement, teachers need to reorganize the learning patterns of Christian education. The focus of change is directed at planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the materials and the class as well.
