Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar kimia yang disebabkan karena kurangnya media pembelajaran yang memfasilitasi siswa dalam belajar sehingga siswa kesulitan dalam memahami materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk pengembangan media exe-learning pada mata pelajaran kimia. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam research and deployment. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yaitu define, design, development dan disseminate. Teknik Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan angket (kuesioner). Hasil penelitian yaitu penilaian validator ahli pada tahap I  dengan skor rata-rata 2,70 dan pada tahap II  dengan skor rata-rata 3,71 sehingga produk dinyatakan telah memenuhi kriteria kelayakan, sedangkan untuk respon pendidik (Dosen) mendapatkan skor rata-rata 3,71 dengan kriteria sangat menarik dan respon peserta didik (mahasiswa) dengan skor rata-rata 3,66 termasuk dalam kriteria sangat menarik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media exe-learning pada topik kesetimbangan kimia yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan. Media exe-learning yang dikembangkan untuk pembelajaran kima dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The Covid-19 virus has had a very big impact, especially for the world of education. The impact that occurred in the world of education was experienced by several private universities, especially the HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar University (UHKBPNP). As a result of the COVID-19 virus, universities are required to make changes to learning procedures that were previously done face-to-face to online learning. However, the challenge for universities is the diversity of origin of the students themselves.  This study aims to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on online learning satisfaction. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The number of students who were used as informants in this study were 169 people consisting of active students in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Water Resources Management Study Program and Mathematics study programs who were randomly selected. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the majority of students at UHKBPNP have devices to support online learning, it can be seen from the percentage of device ownership of 94%. However, there are still some dissatisfactions faced by students when online learning is carried out such as: students feel they cannot easily monitor the progress of online learning, cannot obtain learning materials easily nor can they learn material easily. Overall, both from the technology side and the lecturer side, students are not satisfied with the online learning method they are currently living and also dissatisfied with the lecturer's ability to deliver material in online learning

Abstract

Lake Toba is a lake located in Samosir Regency, North Sumatra Province with a surface area of 1,124 km2 (112,400 ha). Lake Toba is located at a geographical position 2°41′N 98°53′E / 2.68°N 98.88°E with an altitude of 995 above sea level. The purpose of this study was to determine water quality in terms of chemical, physical, and biological parameters, as well as the status of water quality in Lake Toba. Determination of the sample point using the "sample survey method" which is the method of taking the sample by dividing it into several segments or points that can represent the population. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the quality of the waters of Lake Toba in Pangururan District is classified as not good, specifically nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia concentration. Those that are classified as good are temperature, pH, BOD5, O2, and COD. Water quality in Lake Toba is in the category of polluted lightly. Using biological analysis, Lake Toba waters in Pangururan District contain several phytoplankton, including Oocystis sp and Anabaena Sp.

Abstract

Fish is considered a key nutrient for a balanced diet for the growing population  around the world..fish is also superior because it is the highest natural source of omega 3 fatty acids. These fishery products are susceptible to quality degradation, therefore many use formalin as a fish preservative. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of formalin in some fresh fish. The method used is a quantitative test of formalin levels with a formalin test kit and descriptively. The sample used 5 types of fresh fish from 10 respondents. And the results of this study were that the five fresh fish samples contained formalin because the five fish were “one the fishing” fish. The most formalin content found in snapper was 3.42 g/ml.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian  kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan agar guru-guru dapat menggunakan aplikasi Bandicam saat masa pembelajaran online yang dilakukan pada pandemic covid-19. Keterampilan pengelolaan pembelajaran secara daring sangat perlu didukung dengan keterampilan membuat instrumen pembelajaran daring salah satunya dengan pembuatan video pembelajaran. Video pembelajaran diperlukan sekali dalam pembelajaran daring, karena manfaatnya yaitu bersifat komunikatif dan dapat diulang-ulang, diperlambat, diperbesar. Bandicam ini merupakan salah satu media interaktif yang dapat digunakan untuk mendukung pembelajaran secara  online, karena pada bandicam  terdapat video  dimana guru dapat menjelaskan  materi dengan tepat dan jelas. Metode pengabdian menggunakan ceramah tutorial dengan bantuan Power Point, aplikasi Bandicam  dan diskusi dengan peserta. Peserta kegiatan merupakan 17 orang  peserta yang terdiri dari guru-guru SMA. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah :1) guru menjadi lebih percaya diri dan termotivasi menggunakan teknologi, 2) guru dapat merancang dan membuat video pembelajaran  sederhana yang menarik sesuai tema dan kebutuhan peserta didik dengan menggunakan Bandicam 3) guru dapat merancang video interaktif dan melibatkan anak dalam pembelajaran

Abstract

Sungai Bah Bolon adalah salah satu sungai yang mengalir dari Kota Pematangsiantar dan Kabupaten Simalungun,Sumatera Utara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas air berdasarkan parameter fisika (suhu), dan parameter kimia (pH,DO,BOD,NH3). Penentuan titik sampel menggunakan “sample survey method” yaitu metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan membagi menjadi beberapa segmen atau titik yang dapat mewakili populasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini maka dapat  disimpulkan bahwa Sungai Bah Bolon menurut baku mutu pada parameter fisika (Suhu) dikatakan normal. Dan berdasarkan parameter kimia  terdapat penentuan pH, DO, BOD, dan kadar  NH3. Menurut keasaman (pH) air pada Sungai Bah Bolon  dikatakan normal karena dibawah deviasi baku mutu. Berdasarkan  baku mutu, DO harus  lebih besar dari 5, maka DO pada Sungai Bah Bolon tergolong normal (5,72-6,11). Menurut hasil BODnya dapat disimpulkan  bahwa BOD pada Sungai Bah Bolon tergolong pada tingkat pencemaran sedang.  Dan menurut baku mutu, hasilnya NH3 (ammonia) juga dapat disimpulkan pada  tingkat pencemarannyaa sedang.

Abstract

This research is Development Research (R & D). The purpose of this study (1) is to find out the feasibility test and perceptions of lecturers on the development of basic chemistry teaching materials I integrated Problem Based Learning (PBL) models, (2) to compare student learning outcomes using basic I chemistry teaching materials integrated Problem Based models Learning (PBL) and basic I chemistry teaching materials used by universities.The stages carried out in this study include (1) analyzing basic chemistry teaching materials used in universities (2) developing basic I chemistry teaching materials that are integrated with Problem Based Learning models (3) standardizing or feasibility testing of basic chemical teaching materials on expert validators and some chemistry lecturers (4) carried out the implementation of basic chemistry teaching materials I at UMTS (5) conducted an analysis of the effect of basic chemistry teaching materials I which integrated the Problem Based Learning model to improve student learning outcomes.Based on the aspect of content feasibility in basic chemistry teaching materials I, which is integrated with the Problem Based Learning model and the basic chemistry teaching materials used in higher education institutions have an average of 3.96 and 2.89. The aspects of language feasibility in basic chemistry teaching materials I that are integrated with problem based learning models and basic chemistry teaching materials used in tertiary institutions are 3.88 and 3.02. The feasibility aspect of presentation in the basic chemistry teaching material I which integrated the problem based learning model and basic chemistry teaching materials used in higher education had an average of 3.85 and 3.00. The feasibility aspect of the basic chemistry teaching material I, which is integrated with the problem based learning model and the basic chemistry teaching materials used in universities, has an average of 3.88 and 3.20. The effectiveness of using basic chemistry teaching materials I integrated the problem based learning model for improving student achievement, according to the results of testing the Independent Sample T-Test data of 0,000 <0,05, which concluded that Ho refused and Ha accepted. The percentage of effectiveness in the control and experimental classes was 73.45% and 81.81%.

Abstract

This research is a research and development (R&D). The purpose of this study is (1) to determine the feasibility level ofpracticum guides at publishers A, B and C, (2) to determine the feasibility level of integrated chemistry lab guides fordiscovery learning models and characters, and (3) the effectiveness of integrated chemistry lab guides for discovery learningmodels and characters for Class X High School. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling. The method used isdescriptive method. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, itcan be concluded that: (1) The level of eligibility of semester X semester II high school chemistry practice guides publishedby several publishers has a fairly decent category, but there are several components of the guide that need to be developed.,(2) The integrated chemistry practicum guide for discovery learning models and characters developed for SMA / MA class Xsemester II has a very feasible category, so it is feasible to be used in chemistry learning, and (3) The effectiveness of theintegrated chemistry practicum guide for discovery learning models and characters for student character is 85 , 23% with avery good category.

Abstract

Menurunnya kualitas air pada budidaya ikan dikarenakan pemberian pelet. Oleh karena itu sangat diperlukan pemberian pakan alami untuk meningkatkan kualitas air tersebut. Larva lalat Black Soldier Fly (BSF) mempunyai kadar nutrisi dan protein sangat tinggi sehingga dapat digunakan pakan alami yang dapat diberikan kepada ikan. Metode Pelaksanaanya dengan mengetahui kualitas air saat dilakukannya budidaya ikan, pengaruh pemberian larva BSF terhadap kualitas air saat pembudidayaan, serta keuntungan pemberian pakan ternak alami larva BSF tersebut. Diadakan juga evaluasi untuk mengukur keberhasilan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat di Kelurahan Pardamean antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan tersebut. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi ini memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat tentang kualitas air saat pembudidayaan ikan dengan pemberian larva BSF.

Abstract

Guru-guru di sekolah SMA Swasta HKBP Hutabayuraja masih melakukan pembelajaran secara manual karena kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam bidang IT. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pelatihan penggunaan media interaktif untuk mendukung pembelajaran online pada saat pandemik Covid 19 ini. Media eXeLearning ini merupakan salah satu media interaktif yang dapat digunakan untuk mendukung pembelajaran secara online, karena pada eXeLearning guru dapat menyusun bahan ajar serta membuat soal latihan dalam bentuk web. Metode yang dilakukan adalah metode ceramah dan metode tutorial. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah: 1) guru menjadi lebih percaya diri dan termotivasi menggunakan teknologi; 2) guru dapat merancang dan membuat bahan ajar dalam bentuk web sehingga membuat pembelajaran sederhana dan menarik sesuai tema dan kebutuhan peserta didik dengan menggunakan media eXeLearning; 3) guru dapat merancang soal latihan dalam bentuk web dan video menarik dan melibatkan anak dalam pembelajaran.
