Abstract

Depression in the elderly does not receive attention and the symptoms do not always appear. The assessment on 10 elderly showed that five elderly (50%) were normal, three elderly (30%) were suggestive of depression, and two elderly (20%) were indicative of depression. The purpose of this study was to assess depression using the Geriatric Depression Scale Short Form (GDS-SF) in the elderly in Mersi. The design of this study was a descriptive correlation. The population consisted of 105 people who were the members of the Hypertension Care Group. The sample size was 84 people and using Simple Random Sampling. The inclusion criteria was being diagnosed with hypertension for more than one year, while the exclusion criteria was having an activity of daily with total care. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The study subjects were predominately female with 58 people (69.0%). Moreover, 49 respondents (58.3%) were categorized normal with several characteristics: 35 people (89.8%) were satisfied with their life, in good spirits most of the time, though it was wonderful to be alive at the present and full of energy. Then, 39 people (98.0%) lived with a meaningful life, and 37 respondents (93.9%) felt valuable. Depression is categorized into a mental illness that affects the elderly but it is difficult to identify. Hence, it is important to recognize and do research about it to get proper therapy. Nurses can assess the mental aspects of the elderly using the GDS-SF 15.

Abstract

Disasters are one of the most challenging cases for health institutions that can disrupt health services’ functioning. However, as essential and primary care providers in society, health institutions and especially hospitals must be prepared for disasters and emergencies. This study analyzes the hospital’s non-structural preparedness in facing disasters based on the Hospital Safety Index in RSUP (Central General Hospital) Dr. Mohammad Hoesin. This research is a mixed-methods study with a sequential explanatory design. The research subjects were four people. The key informants consisted of Occupational Health and Safety Staff and Non-Medical Facilities Maintenance Staff. The triangulation informant was the Occupational Safety and Health Committee. The non-structural preparedness of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin, based on the Hospital Safety Index is 0.84. The results of the in-depth interviews show that the obstacles for hospitals in implementing disaster preparedness are budgetary funds and the focus of the hospital in improving structural preparedness and health services. RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin is at a high level of non-structural preparedness. Overall, the hospital can function in emergencies and disasters. However, it is recommended to continue with steps to improve crisis and disaster management's security and capacity.  Abstrak: Bencana adalah salah satu kasus paling sulit bagi institusi kesehatan yang dapat mengganggu fungsi layanan kesehatan. Namun, sebagai dasar dan penyedia perawatan primer dalam masyarakat, institusi kesehatan dan khususnya rumah sakit harus siap menghadapi bencana dan keadaan darurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapsiagaan nonstruktural rumah sakit dalam menghadapi bencana berdasarkan Hospital Safety Index di RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian mix methods dengan jenis sequential explanatory design. Subjek penelitian berjumlah empat orang. Informan kunci terdiri dari Staf Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja dan Staf Instalasi Pemeliharaan Sarana Non-Medik (IPSNM). Informan triangulasi yaitu Komite Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja. Kesiapsiagaan nonstruktural RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin berdasarkan Hospital Safety Index sebesar 0,84. Hasil wawancara mendalam menunjukkan bahwa kendala rumah sakit dalam menerapkan kesiapsiagaan bencana yaitu anggaran dana, serta fokus rumah sakit dalam tahap peningkatan kesiapsiagaan struktural dan pelayanan kesehatan. RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin berada pada level kesiapsiagaan nonstruktural tinggi. Secara keseluruhan rumah sakit dapat berfungsi dalam keadaan darurat dan bencana. Namun, direkomendasikan untuk melanjutkan langkah-langkah dalam memperbaiki tingkat keamanan dan kapasitas penanganan darurat dan bencana.

Abstract

Background: Death due to traffic accidents is a global issue. The World Health Organization (WHO) showed that deaths due to traffic accidents increase in developing countries such as Indonesia and Vietnam. It is not uncommon for the result of wrong actions when providing help. It increases injury and even causes death. Aim and objective:  This research aimed to identify the factor that associates to attitudes community in providing first aid to a traffic accident. It adopted a descriptive correlative study of 31 members of youth organizations in Joglo Village, Surakarta District. Its sampling was selected by systematic random sampling. Result: The logistic regression analysis revealed two factors related to attitudes. It determined that the experience and knowledge of first aid correlated with attitudes community. The greatest strength of the relationship was the knowledge (OR=2.756) and the smallest was the experience (OR=-0,004). Conclusion: Personal experiences could be the basis for attitude formation if they leave a strong impression. People who have obtained information and experience will have a better chance of giving positive attitudes to provide help.Abstrak: Latar Belakang: Kematian akibat kecelakaan lalu linta merupakan isu global. World Health Organization (WHO) menunjukkan bahwa kematian akibat kecelakaan lalu lintas meningkat di negara berkembang seperti Indonesia dan vietnam. Kematian terjadi tidak jarang akibat dari tindakan yang salah saat memberikan pertolongan pertama. Hal ini dapat meningkatkan cedera dan kematian. Maksud dan tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan sikap masyarakat dalam memebrikan pertolongan pertama pada kecelakaan lalu lintas. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif korelatif terhadap 31 anggota karang taruna Kelurahan Joglo, kabupaten Surakarta. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara sistematik random sampling. Hasil: Hasil analisis regresi logistik menunjukkan dua faktor yang berhubungan dengan sikap yaitu pengetahuan dan pengalaman dalam memberikan pertolongan pertama. Kekuatan hubungan terbesar adalah pengetahuan (OR=2,756) dan terkecil adalah pengalaman (OR = -0,004). Kesimpulan: Pengalaman pribadi akan menjadi dasar terbentuknya sikap karna ada kesan yang kuat.  Seseorang yang memiliki pengetahuan dan pengalaman akan memiliki sikap positif dalam memberikan pertolongan pertama.

Abstract

Health is one of the indicators of community welfare, so the community needs quality health services to meet their basic needs. To improve services and increase patient satisfaction, hospitals need to apply the Covid-19 policy in screening and service flows which are predicted to affect patient satisfaction. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of service quality on patient satisfaction during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method in this study used a cross-sectional approach. The population was outpatients at the obstetrics and gynaecology polyclinic. The sample was determined using the accidental sampling technique with a total of 360 patients. The data were analyzed to determine the most dominant factor by using a logistic regression test. Based on the results of multivariate analysis, the variables with the greatest influence on patient satisfaction are the assurance variable (95% CI 1.50-6.06 with a p-value of 0.012), empathy (95% CI 1.38-4.65 with a p-value of 0.006), and tangible (95% CI 1.04- 4.08 with a p-value of 0.001). Based on the results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the dimensions of service quality and patient satisfaction. The quality of service during the Covid-19 pandemic is considered good but needs to be optimized on the dimensions of assurance, empathy, and tangible.  Abstrak: Kesehatan adalah indikator kesejahteraan masyarakat yangpaling utama, dan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dasarnya masyarakat membutuhkan pelayanan yang bermutu. Rumah sakit berusaha meningkatkan pelayanan dan kepuasan pasien perlu adanya kebijakan mengatasi penularan Covid-19 berupa prosedur pelayanan, keharusan screening, serta alur proses pelayanan yang berubah diduga juga berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pasien dan mutu pelayanan.  Tujuan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh mutu pelayanan terhadap kepuasan pasien dalam masa pandemic covid-19. Metode Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah pasien rawat jalan di poliklinik kebidanan dan kandungan, Prosedur sampel Accidental Sampling sebanyak n=360. data hasil survey di analysis untuk mengetahui factor yang paling dominan dengan menggunakan uji regresi logistic.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis multivariate variabel yang paling besar pengaruhnya terhadap kepuasan pasien adalah variabel Assurance dengan nilai 95%CI 1.50-6.06 dan p =0.012, Emphaty 95%CI 1.38-4.65 p=value 0.006 dan Tangiable dengan nilai 95%CI 1.04-4.08 dan p=value 0.001. Berdasarkan hasil pada penelitian ini dikatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan pada dimensi mutu pelayanan dengan kepuasan pasien. Mutu pelayanan yang terjadi selama masa pandemi Covid-19 dinilai mulai sudah baik, akan tetapi harus di tingkatkan da dioptimalkan pada dimensi jaminan, emphaty dan tangibles.

Abstract

Social stigma is a disaster and a burden for sufferers, survivors, families, health workers, or those closely related to the Covid-19 outbreak. Various levels of stigma affect almost all age groups, one being students. However, research on students' stigmatization and associated factors among people with Covid-19 in Indonesia are still limited. The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation between socio-demographic characteristics and stigma among students. This study used a cross-sectional-online design, with purposive and snowball sampling techniques with a sample size of 663 students. The questionnaire used was the Social Stigma toward Patients due to the Covid-19 Scale (SSPCS) questionnaire. Bivariate data analysis using Pearson and Spearman rank to see the socio-demographic correlation with stigma. Statistically, The experience of stigma discrimination, stigma not accepting, stigma fear, age, religion, and major are positively correlated ( p less than 0.01). This study found that not all socio-demographic factors relate to stigma. We only found age, religion, and major to correlate positively. Abstrak: Stigma sosial merupakan bencana dan beban bagi penderita, penyintas, keluarga, petugas kesehatan atau mereka yang terkait erat dengan wabah Covid-19. Berbagai tingkat stigma mempengaruhi hampir semua kelompok umur, salah satunya mahasiswa. Namun penelitian tentang stigmatisasi yang dirasakan mahasiswa dan faktor-faktor terkait pada penderita Covid-19 di Indonesia masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi hubungan antara faktor sosiodemografi dengan stigma pada mahasiswa. Studi ini juga menggunakan desain cross-sectional-online, dengan teknik purposive dan snowball sampling dengan jumlah sampel 663 siswa. Kuesioner yang digunakan adalah Kuesioner Social Stigma toward Patients due to Covid-19 Scale (SSPCS). Analisis data bivariat menggunakan Pearson dan Spearman rank untuk melihat korelasi sosiodemografi dengan stigma. Secara statistik, pengalaman diskriminasi, tidak terima, ketakutan, umur, agama, dan jurusan berkorelasi positif (p kurang dari 0.01). Studi ini hanya menemukan korelasi psitif antara karakteristik usia, agama dan jurusan mahasiswa dengan stigma.

Abstract

One of the challenges in improving health services in Indonesia is the uneven number and distribution of health workers in some areas, especially doctors and specialist doctors. Therefore, the aim of this study was to review the conduciveness and support of the policy environment towards meeting the needs of specialist doctors in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, Indonesia. This study was the narrative review method. Keywords used are environmental policy, specialist doctor, and remote area. Critical appraisal was performed by utilizing the PRISMA method. This study showed that there is political support from the Central and Regional Governments. However, several aspects are still recognized negatively, aspects of national policies related to incentives and facilities. Regional Government Policies are considered not sufficiently significant to improve the availability of doctors and specialist doctors, especially in terms of the advocacy mechanisms. This matter impacts the lack of doctors and specialist doctors’ interest to be placed in remote areas. The policy environment towards meeting the needs of a specialist doctors in West Nusantara Tenggara (NTB) was enough conducive and supportive. It still needs improving coordination mechanisms among institutions and providing advocacy channels, which are crucial to support the effectiveness of meeting the needs of specialist doctors’ policies.Abstrak: Salah satu tantangan dalam meningkatkan pelayanan kesehatan di Indonesia adalah belum meratanya jumlah dan distribusi tenaga kesehatan di beberapa daerah, terutama dokter dan dokter spesialis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kondusifitas dan dukungan lingkungan kebijakan terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan dokter spesialis di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode review naratif. Kata kunci yang digunakan adalah kebijakan lingkungan, dokter spesialis, dan daerah terpencil. Critical appraisal dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode PRISMA. Studi ini menunjukkan adanya dukungan politik dari Pemerintah Pusat dan Daerah. Namun demikian, beberapa aspek masih diakui secara negatif, aspek kebijakan nasional terkait insentif dan fasilitas. Kebijakan Pemerintah Daerah dinilai belum cukup signifikan untuk meningkatkan ketersediaan dokter dan dokter spesialis, terutama dari sisi mekanisme advokasi. Hal ini berdampak pada minimnya minat dokter dan dokter spesialis untuk ditempatkan di daerah terpencil. Lingkungan kebijakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dokter spesialis di Nusantara Tenggara Barat (NTB) cukup kondusif dan mendukung. Masih perlu perbaikan mekanisme koordinasi antarlembaga dan penyediaan jalur advokasi yang sangat penting untuk mendukung efektivitas pemenuhan kebutuhan kebijakan dokter spesialis.

Abstract

Introduction: Clinical nurse leaders (CNL) play a significant role in improving the quality of nursing services. Such a role includes satisfying clients during the care process by referring to the nursing goal. In meeting the standard, CNL should enhance their knowledge, attitude, and soft and hard skills. Purpose: Identifying the competences of CNL through ADDIE model-based learning. Method: The present study relied on a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test.This study used quantitative research with the pre experiment method, and pre and post test.As many as 20 clinical nurse leaders from inpatient units of accredited public and private hospitals in Singkawang were involved as the sample. Further, the data analysis in this study used Paired T test. The result of this study found a meaningfulimprovement of competences among CNL through ADDIE model-based learning (p=.006). Recommendation: ADDIE model-based learning attempts to enhance the competences of CNL. This research recommends the addition of the ADDIE model to advance the competence as the clinical nurse leaders.  Moreover, this strategy can be applied to develop CNL’s ability in other managerial fields.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is a global pandemic, and this pandemic affects all aspects of human life, such as health, economy, food and clothing. The spread of this pandemic has resulted in the closure of public areas in the education sector, one of which is the Fatmawati Nursing Academy. The purpose of this study was to identify student responses to online learning during the Covid-19 period. This research design is quantitative with a survey method. The sampling technique in this study was cluster random sampling totalling 105 people who received online learning. The research was conducted from March to July 2020 at the Fatmawati Nursing Academy. The survey is made in the form of a questionnaire using google form which can be easily accessed by respondents. The data analysis technique uses a percentage of the score for each statement item. The results showed that: 1) the average respondent had a high or good response (70, 86%) to online learning during the pandemic; 2) The obstacles faced by students during online learning are internet networks, finance. Online learning during the pandemic at the Fatmawati Nursing Academy is considered effective but requires improvement in order to achieve the learning outcomes that have been formulated.  Tanggapan Mahasiswa Akademi Keperawatan Fatmawati Terhadap Pembelajaran Online Selama Pandemi Covid-19Abstrak: Pandemi COVID-19 merupakan pandemi global, dan pandemic ini mempengaruhi seluruh aspek kehidupan manusia, seperti: Kesehatan, ekonomi, sandang pangan dan pendidikan. Adanya penyebaran pandemi ini menyebabkan penutupan-penutupan area umum di bidang pendidikan, salah satu yang terdampak adalah Akademi Keperawatan Fatmawati. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran daring di masa Covid-19. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Teknik pengambilan sampling pada penelitian ini adalah cluster random sampling berjumlah 105 orang yang mendapatkan pembelajaran daring. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai dengan bulan Juli 2020 di Akademi Keperawatan Fatmawati. Survey dibuat dalam bentuk kuisioner menggunakan google form yang dapat mudah diakses oleh responden. Teknik Analisa data menggunakan presentase hasil skor untuk setiap butir pernyataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) rata-rata responden memiliki tanggapan yang tinggi atau baik (70, 86%) terhadap pembelajaran daring selama masa pandemi Covid-19; 2) Kendala yang dihadapi mahasiswa selama pembelajaran daring adalah jaringan internet dan keuangan. Pembelajaran daring selama masa pandemic Covid-19 di Akademi Keperawatan Fatmawati dinilai efektif, namun memerlukan perbaikan demi tercapai capaian pembelajaran yang telah dirumuskan.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has changed the method of learning in the world of health. The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announced that 1.2 billion students worldwide have been affected by school closures at universities due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Online learning (DARING) is increasingly being used during the Covid-19 pandemic. The process of using DARING requires adaptation for students, this is a new experience. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the satisfaction of health students in using e-Learning methods during Covid-19. This research method is a descriptive survey using a questionnaire about student satisfaction with online learning methods. A total of 130 students participated in this study. The results of this study indicated that 39.3% of the students expressed dissatisfaction, 27.7% of the students stated that they were very dissatisfied, 23.1% of the students stated that they were satisfied and 10.0% of the students stated that they were very satisfied. The conclusion in this study is that the majority of health students expressed dissatisfaction in implementing e-Learning methods during pandemic Covid-19 in Medan.Abstrak: Pandemi Covid 19 telah mengubah metode pendidikan di dunia Kesehatan. United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) mengumumkan bahwa 1,2 milliar siswa di seluruh dunia telah terkena dampak penutupan sekolah di Universitas karena wabah Covid-19. Pembelajaran Dalam Jaringan (DARING) semakin banyak di gunakan selama pandemic Covid 19. Proses penggunanan DARING membutuhkan adaptasi bagi mahasiswa, hal ini merupakan pengalaman baru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi kepuasan mahasiswa kesehatan dalam menggunakan pembelajaran Daring selama Covid 19.  Metode penelitian ini adalah Survei deskriptif menggunakan kuesioner tentang kepuasan mahasiswa dengan metode pembelajaran Daring. Sebanyak 130 mahasiswa berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkabahwa 39.2 % mahasiwa meyatakan tidak puas, 27.7 % mahasiswa menyatakan sangat tidak puas, 23.1 % mahasiswa menyatakan puas dan 10.0 % mahasiswa menyatakan sangat puas. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa mahasiwa kesehatan mayoritas menyatakan tidak puas dalam melaksanakan metode pembelajaran Daring (Dalam Jaringan).

Abstract

A preliminary study at the Sriwaty Midwifery Independent Practice Clinic, the number of pregnant women in 2019 was 350-400 deliveries and 45 Premature / LBW.  Prenatal yoga have never been implemented in prenatal classes.Aim and Objectives To analyze the effectiveness of prenatal yoga in pregnant women in the I-III trimester on Ballard score and anthropometry of newborns.This study is a pre-experimental study with a randomized controlled trial two group design. The sample size in the study was 40 respondents: the intervention group was 20 respondents and the control group was 20. The sampling technique was based on the consecutive sample. The statistical test is the independent t-test to determine the difference in mean Ballard score, anthropometry of newborn babies in each group. Because the sample used was 50 respondents, the normality test used was Shapiro-Wilk and the comparative hypothesis test for the numeric variable distribution was not normal is  the Mann-Whitney non-parametric test.The prenatal yoga program is effective for Ballard Score, Body Length, Body Weight and Head Circumference of Newborns . It is hoped that it can become a program and be implemented in the prenatal class.Abstrak: Studi pendahuluan di Klinik Praktik Mandiri Bidan  (PMB) Sriwaty, jumlah ibu hamil yang melahirkantahun 2019 sebanyak 350-400 dan 45 Prematur/BBLR. Prenatal yoga belum pernah dilakukandi kelas prenatal.TujuanMenganalisis efektivitas prenatal yoga pada ibu hamil trimester I-III terhadap skor Ballard dan antropometri bayi baru lahir.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan rancangan randomized controlled trialdua kelompok. Besar sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 40 responden: kelompok intervensi 20 responden dan kelompok kontrol 20 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel berdasarkan consecutive sample. Uji statistik adalah independent t-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan rerata skor Ballard, antropometri bayi baru lahir pada masing-masing kelompok. Sampel yang digunakan 50 responden sehinggauji normalitas yang digunakan adalah Shapiro-Wilk dan uji hipotesis komparatif untuk distribusi variabel numerik tidak normal adalah uji non parametrik Mann-Whitney. Program  prenatal  yoga efektif untuk Skor Ballard, Panjang Badan, Berat Badan dan Lingkar Kepala Bayi Baru Lahir. Diharapkan dapat menjadi program dan diimplementasikan di kelas prenatal.
