Abstract

The most common cancer detected in women is breast cancer. After lung cancer, it is the most frequent reason for cancer-related mortality. This is because patients who have advanced breast cancer seek medical attention. The lack of understanding about breast cancer and how to do breast self-examination (BSE) for early identification of breast cancer among the general population contributed to the delay in treatment. This research aimed to ascertain how patients with Camamae used antib iotics and painkillers in connection to one another. This kind of research is retrospective, descriptive, and utilizes secondary data. Patients diagnosed with breast cancer between January 2019 and December 2023 were selected from medical records at the Regional General Hospital dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie as a research subject. The results obtained from medical records show that the relationship between painkillers and antibiotics is very important where giving painkillers to breast cancer patients is to improve the patient's quality of life, especially for patients who have experienced arrest or removal of breast tissue while giving antibiotics is to prevent exposure to bacteria when it will be carried out profit and after done.

Abstract

Metabolic syndrome is a set of metabolic conditions associated with central obesity, increased blood pressure, decreased glucose tolerance, insulin resistance, increased triglycerides and LDL cholesterol. The World Health Organization states that cardiovascular diseases (stroke, coronary heart disease), which are manifestations of metabolic syndrome, are the number one cause of death in the world. Indonesia itself is experiencing an increasing prevalence of metabolic syndrome, especially in children and adolescents, which is caused by poor lifestyle. This study aims to identify cardiometabolic risk factors in students of the Faculty of Medicine, HKBP Nommensen University. This study is descriptive with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected by interview, questionnaire, and anthropometric measurements. Data were analyzed by descriptive test. The results showed that the majority of the nutritional status of the students of the Faculty of Medicine of HKBP Nommensen University was obesity (38.3%), smoking habits (1.7%), lack of exercise (62.1%), the average duration of sleep of students at the Faculty of Medicine of HKBP Nommensen University was about 6.1 hours per day. The average screen time was about 7.3 hours for cell phones, one hour for tablets, 0.9 hours for laptops, and 2.75 hours for video games. A total of 66.7% of respondents had unhealthy food consumption habits, with an average frequency of consumption of 2 times per week. Further research is needed by examining biochemical profiles and looking at other metabolic risk factors.

Abstract

Antioxidants from dietary plants have been thought to be good for human health. Brassica oleracea vegetables are potential antioxidant vegetables. Cikajang is one of the vegetable-producing centers in West Java, located in Garut district. Vegetables cultivated in the Cikajang area include cabbage, cauliflower, and keciwis, which are species of Brassica oleracea. There is no research regarding the phytochemistry and antioxidant activity of Brassica oleracea vegetables collected in Cikajang. Behalf of that, this research aims to determine the phytochemical screening and antioxidant activity of cabbage, cauliflower, and keciwis from Cikajang. The phytochemical screening was carried out using several identification reagents, while the antioxidant activity test was carried out using the DPPH (2,2 diphenyl-1-picrylhidrazyl) method. The results of phytochemical screening show that in the dry powder and extract of cabbage, flavonoids, phenols, and steroids/triterpenoids were identified. In the dry powder and extract of cauliflower, flavonoids, saponins, phenols, and steroid/triterpenoids were identified. In the dry powder and extract of keciwis, flavonoids, saponins, gallic tannins, and phenols were identified. The results of the antioxidant activity test using DPPH show that vitamin C as a standard had an IC50 value of 5.223 µg/ml, while the IC50 values of cabbage, cauliflower, and keciwis extracts were 39.948, 35.199, and 15.032 µg/ml, respectively.

Abstract

The quality of medical records is an indicator of the quality of hospital services which can be seen from the completeness of filling out medical record documents. Incompleteness in filling out medical record documents will disrupt administrative order which will affect the patient treatment process, where officers will have difficulty identifying the patient, officers will have difficulty determining the next treatment or therapy action that will be carried out on the patient. Based on the results of the initial survey at Hospital X Padang, it was found that a quantitative review of medical record documents had never been carried out. The aim of this study was to determine the results of a quantitative review of the completeness of medical records for general surgery inpatients. This research method is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population and sample in this study were documents from inpatients specifically for general surgery in the fourth quarter of 2021, with a total sample of 38 documents. The research location is at Hospital the doctor's hand was 94.7%, the method of recording abbreviated items was 73.7%. From the results of the quantitative analysis research, it was concluded that it still does not meet the Minimum Service Standards, namely 100%. To increase the completeness of filling out medical records, it is hoped that hospitals can create reward and punishment policies, implement rules or SOP guidelines for filling out medical record documents.

Abstract

Establishing sexual violence can be a complex process due to the lack of witnesses other than the perpetrator and victim. So, law enforcers rely on medical practitioners to find medical evidence, such as physical damage to the victim's body. The objective of this study is to establish the characteristics of different injury patterns in individuals who have experienced sexual violence. This study is a comprehensive descriptive analysis of medical records and visum et repertum (VeR) data obtained from five hospitals in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A total of 84 cases met both the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings indicated that 60.7% of victims did not experience recurring incidents of sexual violence. In most cases, the perpetrator typically had a preexisting relationship with the victim (81%), and 25% of the victims underwent a medical examination more than 45 days after the incident. The predominant injuries observed on the victim's body were contusions, with 52.6% occurring in the chest region and 26.3% in the upper extremities. The prevailing genital injury observed was an old rupture of the hymen. There was no apparent relationship between the injuries that occurred outside the genital and genitoanal area. Moreover, a significant correlation was found between the proximity of the perpetrator to the victim.
