Abstract

Malaria infection is still a global health problem. Malaria can affect all groups including pregnant women. Malaria infection in pregnant women can cause various dangerous complications, one of which is abortion. A 35-year-old pregnant woman was diagnosed with G6P5A0H5 uk 8-9 weeks with falciparum malaria. The patient was given Dihydroartemisin and piperacuine phosphate (DHP) therapy and symptomatic drugs. During observation the patient had no additional complaints and slowly returned to normal. One week later the patient experienced bleeding from the birth canal and was declared an abortion. There are several things that must be considered in the management of malaria in pregnant women such as resources, facilities and infrastructure available at first-level health facilities, and various matters regarding optimal maternal and fetal supervision so as to prevent various complications caused by malaria infection.

Abstract

As the diagnostic code serves as the foundation for determining the cost of health services and formulating policy, its quality must be ensured. In some hospitals, the code is extremely inaccurate. If the patient's diagnosis code is not accurately coded, the level of data validation for the obtained information will be low. This will result in inaccurate reports, including outpatient morbidity reports, top ten disease reports, and Health Insurance (Jamkesmas) claims. This study aimed to examine the inaccuracy of the diagnostic code for obstetric cases in hospital. This study employs a Literature review methodology in which researchers will compile various scientific articles/journals into a scientific work. Based on the findings of the study, the percentage of inaccurate diagnosis codes for obstetric cases was greater than 50% in five journals, 50% in one journal, and less than 50% in three journals. The inaccuracy of the obstetric case diagnosis code is due to Man, Machine, Material, and Method factors. Thereby, it can be concluded that the percentage of inaccuracy of the diagnostic code for obstetric cases is quite high, and that the most common factor causing inaccuracy of the diagnostic code for obstetric cases is the Man factor, namely that the writing of the diagnosis is less clear, complete, and specific. Consequently, it is necessary to monitor and reevaluate medical officers, especially doctors and assistants, and to establish a policy stating that writing diagnoses is the responsibility of doctors and must adhere to ICD rules.

Abstract

The growth of e-commerce in Indonesia is very fast, also being triggered by Covid-19 outbreak has been creating new habits to fulfill life necessities, including the way to purchase medicine online on the right e-commerce platform or online pharmacy. Inline, the government has tightened its policies to regulate the sale of drugs online in order to protect the public. This research aims to identify non-adopter’s reason of using e-pharmacy in Indonesia, which actually as an access to deliver their need for getting right medicines in this era. Using quantitative method by asking 323 respondents living in around Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi. And based on theory of Technology Acceptance Model or TAM, this research will integrate further, what factors that make non-adopters’ decide to use e-pharmacy (positive factor), and what factors make non-adopters decide not to use e-pharmacy (negative factor). This research suggests that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trustworthiness, social influence and health literacy have closed correlation with the non-adaptors’ decision for e-pharmacy adoption. However, perceived risk is found to not directly affect non-adaptors’ decision for e-pharmacy adaptation. This study has produced results of the indication of perceived ease of use, intelligence, trust, health literacy and social influence have a positive effect on non-adopters' reasons for using e-pharmacy. Meanwhile, perceived risk has a negative effect on non-adopters' confidence in using e-pharmacy. Then, perceived ease of use has a positive effect on perceived usefulness and trust in using e-pharmacy.

Abstract

Low hemoglobin levels due to anemia in pregnancy can affect the baby's APGAR score. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between anemia in pregnant women and the APGAR score of newborns at the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional research design. This study used medical records data of patients who gave birth vaginally and had normal births, did not have low birth weight, had normal first and second stages of labor, and had complete laboratory data on hemoglobin levels and APGAR scores. Data on mothers experiencing obstetric complications other than anemia were excluded from this study. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate using Chi-square hypothesis test. From 140 samples of pregnant women, there were 78 (55,7%) samples of pregnant women who had anemia and 62 (44,3%) samples of pregnant women was not had anemia. Bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between anemia in pregnant women and the APGAR score of newborns with p value = 0.001 (p <0.05). We concluded that there was a relationship between anemia in pregnant women and the APGAR score of newborns at the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar.
