Abstract

According to the 2018 Riskesdas, data for pregnant women with anemia in Indonesia is 48.9% and in North Tapanuli it is 53.3%. The research aims to find out the Factors Affecting the Mothers' Adherence in Consuming Fe Tablet Medicine and Its Correlation to Anemia Incidents in Mothers in Pohantonga Village, Siborongborong Sub-District, Regency of North Tapanuli in 2022. This quantitative research employs Cross Sectional design with a population consisting of 42 pregnant mothers. Samples are taken using the total sampling technique and variables of the research are knowledge, attitude, family supports, access to health services, and mothers' adherence. The data obtained are analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis. Bivariate analysis is conducted using the Chi-Square test and the result of the Chi-Square test indicates that knowledge, attitude, family supports, and access to health services are factors affecting mothers' adherence in consuming Fe tablet medicine. Mothers' adherence is not the factor causing Anemia incidents to occur in pregnant mothers. It is expected that pregnant mothers enhance their knowledge through either electronic media or brochures related to Fe tablets in order to decrease the rate of Anemia incidents during pregnancy. In addition, it is expected that the family supports pregnant mothers by always reminding them to consume Fe tablets. The researcher would like to thank the head of the puskesmas and the respondents. The researcher hopes that the results of this study will be useful for pregnant women, namely to increase hemoglobin levels not only with iron but also by paying attention to the nutrition in the food eaten and future researchers.

Abstract

Anemia occurs due to the condition of micronutrient iron (Fe) deficiency which is not only a problem for Indonesia but also experienced by many countries in Asia. The incidence of anemia in Indonesia is still quite high. Based on the 2018 Riskesdas data, the prevalence of anemia in adolescents is 32%, meaning that 3-4 out of 10 adolescents suffer from anemia. This is influenced by nutritional intake habits that are not optimal and lack of physical activity. Red beans have a content that can overcome anemia, namely iron (Fe). The iron content in red beans can help control the amount of hemoglobin in the blood. This study aims to determine the effect of red beans on hemoglobin levels in female adolescents with anemia. Experimental research design with a control group. The sample in this study were female students with Hb levels < 12 gr/dl totaling 56 people consisting of 28 experimental groups and 28 control groups. The results of the study obtained a p value of 0.004 which indicates the effect of red beans on hemoglobin levels in female adolescents. Consumption of red beans which are rich in iron can meet the needs of iron in the body which functions to form hemoglobin and prevent anemia. Suggestion: it is hoped that female adolescents can prevent anemia by consuming red beans.

Abstract

ACE is a peptidyl-dipeptidase enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of substrates from angiotensin I to angiotensin II. These changes cause constriction of blood vessels so that blood pressure increases (hypertension), so This study aims to find compounds that have the potential to reduce blood pressure through the pathway of ACE1 enzyme inhibition. The method used is docking, the material used is a compound contained from Rhodomyrtus tomentosa and. The ACE1 protein was obtained from RCSB with the code 1UZF. The equipment used was an online pass webserver, PLNTS software and discovery studio. This research was started by redocking the native ligand to determine the coordinates and radius, followed by validating the docking results. The results of the early stage screening obtained 4 compounds with a threshold value above 0.3, these four compounds were continued with the docking test. The docking scores obtained were Afrormosin (-59.620); Pedunculagin (-45.205); Tomentosine (-70.986); Desgalloylstachyurin (-54.374). The conclusion obtained is that the Tomentosine compound binds most easily to ACE1

Abstract

Diabetes is a metabolic syndrome characterized by inadequate blood glucose control and associated with reduced quality of life and various complications that significantly shorten life expectancy. Type 2 diabetes is caused by insulin resistance, in which insulin is well secreted but cells do not respond properly. Increasing evidence reveals the role of molecular pathways in the development of DM and its associated complications. The references of this literature review were collected from PubMed. Studies have attempted to identify signaling networks and therapeutic targeting in DM therapy. As the disease progresses, DM is followed by evidence of the existence of a molecular pathway in the form of AMPK signaling which can coordinate cell metabolism according to specific energy needs. AMPK is a master regulator of metabolism that functions to restore energy balance during metabolic stress at both a cellular and physiological level. Inducing AMPK signaling can provide blood glucose in DM which is important to improve hyperglycemia. The purpose of this literature review was to determine the effect of AMPK signaling on type 2 DM and gives an insight about agents that can enhances AMPK signaling to prevent the further impact of DM.

Abstract

The puerperium lasts from six weeks to six weeks after delivery. The first delivery often results in a perineal tear. Perineal wounds require special care as without proper care, the risk of infection increases. Age, nutritional status, perineal wound care, personal hygiene, medication, tradition, knowledge, environment, socioeconomics and staff handling are factors that influence perineal wound healing. This study aims to determine the relationship between perineal wound care, food restrictions, and personal hygiene using Personal Hygiene with perineal wound healing time in independent midwife practices. The study used analytic observation of case control/retrospective design. The population was postpartum women from the third day to the seventh day after early labor. Non-random, or non-probability, sampling was used in the consecutive or quota sampling method. Slovin's formula was used to collect a research sample of 30 respondents. The results showed that a number of respondents took good care of the perineal wound (27 respondents, 90 percent), did not abstain from food (25 respondents, 83 percent), maintained good personal hygiene (29 respondents, 96 percent), and the perineal wound healed well (24 respondents, 80 percent). Fisher's Exact test results showed perineal wound care had a relationship with perineal wound healing time with a p-value of 0.005 < 0.05; abstinence from food had a relationship with perineal wound healing time with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05; and personal hygiene had no relationship with perineal wound healing time with a p-value of 0.200.
