Abstract

In the current digital era, an efficient and integrated system is a very important need, especially in the service sector such as tent rental. RifqiTenda is a company that provides rental services for various equipment for celebrations such as tents, chairs, tables and decorations. However, the rental process is still often hampered by problems such as lack of information transparency and limited accessibility. The aim of this research is to build a tent rental system to achieve the rental process and improve user experience. The method used in this research is the Design Thinking Method which is used as a framework to guide the design process, which includes four main stages: empathy, definition, ideation, prototype and test. The results of this research are a web-based application for tent rental by implementing the design think method. Based on the test results on the Rifqi Tenda application prototype, using the usability testing labyrinth, a score of 81 and System Usability Scale (SUS) was obtained, and the SUS score was 78.5, which is in a good ranking. This indicates that most users find this application easy to use. It is hoped that the results of the research will have an influence in improving the user experience in the tent rental process at Rifqitenda.

Abstract

Universitas Harapan Medan is a private university consisting of four faculties. In introducing the campus, the most commonly used promotional media is through brochures, banners, because it is considered the cheapest and fastest promotional media. The weakness of the brochure media which usually only contains text and images has not been able to provide accurate information about the real picture of how the campus looks like along with all the facilities owned by the campus. Therefore, through this research, an AR-based technology will be added to campus promotional media in the form of brochures distributed to the general public. With AR technology, virtual world objects can be added as if they are in a real environment in 3-dimensional form. To add this AR technology and connect it with promotional media in the form of brochures, a marker is attached to the brochure so that through an Android smartphone device, we seem to be in a real environment in 3 dimensions. The purpose of this research is to develop an AR-based Faculty information media application to increase the effectiveness of Faculty introduction to prospective new students for Campus 1 and Campus 2 of Universitas Harapan Medan. The result of this research is that AR technology can be used as a solution to the problems faced by campuses in promoting their educational institutions so that advertisements displayed to readers are more interactive, dynamic and more real, because they are able to show the building and all the facilities in it as real and real in the form of 3D and video.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze sentiment regarding the problem of product boycotting by the public using the Naive Bayes algorithm. 1426 data were collected from social media x to study consumer behavior towards certain products. Through the application of the Naive Bayes algorithm, sentiment analysis was carried out to identify patterns in consumer opinions regarding boycotting the products studied. Experimental results show that the Naive Bayes algorithm succeeded in achieving 81% accuracy in classifying sentiment towards products. This shows the algorithm's ability to analyze consumer sentiment effectively, which can provide valuable insights for companies in understanding public perception and managing the reputation of their products. The practical implication of this research is the importance of utilizing sentiment analysis techniques in marketing strategy and brand management to increase product competitiveness in a competitive market.

Abstract

Currently, many people experience confusion when choosing a smartphone that suits their daily activities and needs due to the vast number of brands and models available in the market. The diverse specifications and uses of smartphones often lead consumers to purchase products that do not meet their needs. To address this issue, a decision support system was designed to help buyers select the right smartphone. This research uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to analyze quantitative data, enabling the determination of criteria and alternative smartphone choices that are suitable.In the process of data entry and processing, criteria and alternatives are established to facilitate the selection of a smartphone. One common challenge in designing decision models is the inability of the model to reflect all real variables, which can result in inaccurate decisions. Therefore, it is essential to design a flexible model capable of accommodating various relevant variables. Additionally, each stored model must be accompanied by detailed information and comprehensive explanations to ensure users understand the proposed decision-making process and its basis.This research can provide an effective solution in smartphone selection, offering clear and structured guidance for consumers to make more accurate decisions based on their individual needs. The research results show that the Xiaomi brand achieved a score of 0.90, indicating that Xiaomi is the most chosen brand in the best smartphone category.

Abstract

At the Puskesmas Kamoning health facility, inventory management is still done manually using paper, Microsoft Excel, and Google Spreadsheets shared via WhatsApp. So it's difficult for officers to organise the data and monitor the stock of goods with the available data. It's becoming inefficient and less accurate. In addition, there are limited working hours for accessing equipment data until data is lost or duplication occurs. The researchers developed a web-based inventory information system to replace the manual process. The system will make inventory management easier, ranging from recording to monitoring to stock management, and will also meet information needs faster and more accurately. Stages and procedures for designing an inventory management information system (Si Menris) using the waterfall model. PHP and CSS are programming languages supported by MySQL as a data storage database. This system uses black box testing to test errors in the system. This Inventory Management Information System (Si Menris) helps inventory management get more accurate, faster data. Besides that, the system can make it easier for employees to make inventory service complaints.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has significantly impacted various sectors, including public service. The Indonesian government's M-Paspor application, designed to streamline the passport application process, has faced several user experience challenges, such as complicated registration processes, inaccurate location selection, and difficulty in finding queue schedules. This study aims to analyze and redesign the M-Paspor application using the Design Thinking method, a user-centered approach involving empathy, problem definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing stages. Through a thorough literature review and usability analysis, we identified key issues affecting the application's performance based on four usability indicators: learnability, efficiency, errors, and satisfaction. The redesigned interface, developed using the Design Thinking framework, addresses these issues by improving clarity, navigation, and overall user experience. Our findings indicate that the redesigned M-Paspor application significantly enhances user satisfaction and efficiency, ultimately supporting the government's vision of effective and efficient e-governance. This study not only provides practical solutions for improving the M-Paspor application but also offers insights into the application of Design Thinking in public service technology design.

Abstract

Futsal's popularity remains undiminished, captivating communities, including school environments like SMK Unitomo Surabaya. In this school, building a strong futsal team is the cornerstone of achieving success. However, manual player selection processes often encounter obstacles, such as inefficiency and potential subjectivity. Often, coaches do not record selection results, leading them to evaluate selections subjectively.Therefore, this research presents a solution in the form of a Decision Support System (DSS) to assist coaches in identifying potential core futsal players. This DSS integrates two cutting-edge methods: Rank Order Centroid (ROC) and Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS). The ROC method plays a role in data weighting, assigning measurable values to each selection criterion. On the other hand, ARAS plays a role in determining the best alternative by comparing the overall value of each alternative with the optimal value of the entire series. Research results demonstrate that this DSS can generate rankings of potential core futsal players with an accuracy level of 0.8753324. This indicates that this DSS has great potential to assist coaches in selecting the right players and increasing the team's chances of winning.

Abstract

This research focuses on the main problem of internet network instability that is often disconnected and the low quality of network services characterized by slow access speeds, high latency, and fluctuations in network performance at SMK Al-Manar Islamic School. This instability causes disruptions in the teaching and learning process, such as slow access to educational websites, difficulty in accessing online materials, and disruption in the use of internet-based applications. The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of network services through the implementation of load balancing using Mikrotik router. The method used is Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC), which includes the stages of analysis, design, simulation, implementation, monitoring, and management. Data was collected through literature study, field study, and observation using Wireshark to measure QoS parameters such as throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter before and after the implementation of load balancing. The results showed that the implementation of load balancing successfully increased throughput from 14215.591 kbps to 46460.8675 kbps, reduced delay from 135 ms to 7 ms, and decreased jitter from 135.615 ms to 73.293 ms. The packet loss value remains 0%, both before and after implementation. In conclusion, the implementation of load balancing using Mikrotik router has successfully improved the quality of internet network services at SMK Al-Manar Islamic School, making it faster, more stable and efficient in accordance with TIPHON standards. It is recommended that schools continue to monitor and manage the network regularly to maintain optimal performance.

Abstract

An application is a program that is developed to meet user needs. M-banking is one application that makes it very easy for users to make transactions anytime and anywhere. The services contained in the M-banking application make users do not need to bother visiting ATMs or banks. The number of BCA Mobile application installations through Playstore reached more than 50 million users The development of technology is currently increasing rapidly, including applications in the field of banking which are now widely used for mobile transactions without the need to go to a bank or ATM Of course, this makes it very easy for users or customers to make transactions using the mobile banking application. User reviews are an important source of information for developers to find out complaints from users or customers. User comments and ratings in reviews are needed by developers to improve the quality and performance of M-Banking applications. However, this does not guarantee satisfaction for application users. To identify the sentiment of BCA Mobile application users, sentiment analysis will be carried out with the Naive Bayes algorithm. This aims to assess the accuracy of the Naive Bayes algorithm. This study aims to determine the results of sentiment through comments from application users and to determine the results of accuracy, precision and recall. Whether the results of this analysis will be greater than positive or negative values. At the same time to see how accurate it is if sentiment analysis is classified with the Naive Bayes method. The data used is obtained through web scraping from 1000 user reviews on the Google Play Store application. For after web scrapping, a preprocessing stage will be carried out, and the data is divided into 60% training data and 40% training data.

Abstract

Waste management is a critical issue that affects not only Indonesia, specifically Yogyakarta, but the entire world. Ngudi Barokah Waste Bank is one of the waste sorting centers located in Yogyakarta. Ngudi Barokah waste bank has difficulties in the recording process because it is still done manually using books. In order to contribute to overcoming this problem, the BankHijau mobile application was built, which facilitates recording at Ngudi Barokah Waste Bank. In its development, the design of the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the BankHijau application used a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach to suit user needs. The following stages are implemented: comprehending the user context, ascertaining user requirements, designing solutions, and conducting testing. The User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) is utilized for testing purposes due to its ability to gather a detailed and thorough understanding of the user experience (UX). Testing was conducted on 26 respondents, who provided positive feedback on all aspects. The UEQ benchmark study reveals that attractiveness (2,15), efficiency (1,95), dependability (2,15), and stimulation (2,11) exhibit excellent criteria, while perspicuity (1,98) and novelty (1,54) provide good criteria. It can be concluded that the design of the BankHijau application is above the average of other applications. The existence of this application is expected to indirectly lower the volume of waste in final disposal sites (TPA) and encourage recycling, hence contributing to positive changes in waste management and helping overall environmental sustainability.
