Abstract

The development of companies in the industrial sector continues to grow every where. So the level of competition is competitive more increasing. But due to consumer demand that changes, making it a problem serious at the company PT Dexton Mulia Wisesa. especially the demand for split stone. To overcome this problem, a optimization in production quantities so that this does not happen production shortages or excess goods available causing the company to lose. Optimization is possible done by implementing Sugeno fuzzy logic. Sugeno's selection of fuzzy logic is for produce a capable system model estimate the amount of crushed stone inventory. Results from research conducted in July 2023 until June 2024 obtain mape value amounting to 28% and is included in the reasonable category. So it is hoped that in the future, this company can optimize the need for split stone in production.

Abstract

Advances in information technology have brought significant changes in various aspects of human life, including decision making. Making decisions by utilizing technology makes the decision-making process run more quickly and accurately. This research proposes the development of a decision support system to select prospective recipients of sports equipment effectively and fairly at the North Sumatra Youth and Sports Service, using the SMART (Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique) method which is used to determine the criteria and weight of the data, and the MOORA (Multi -Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis) is a multi-attribute decision making method that makes it easier to calculate alternative values which have more accurate and targeted results in helping decision making. The research stage involves observation, interviews, and literature study. 5 criteria were used in this research, including productivity, achievement, secretariat location, training program, and equipment requirements. Data on prospective recipients of sports equipment used for analysis was 10 data. Through the SMART and MOORA methods, the system gives the best ranking to the alternative that best meets the predetermined criteria. The ranking results show that the prospective recipient of sports equipment is Sahabat Muda Badmintoon with rank 1 with a score of 0.8 using the SMART method and a score of 0.044 using the MOORA method. The SMART and MOORA methods show the potential to be used as tools to help make decisions about receiving sports equipment more efficiently and fairly.

Abstract

The OK OCE Indonesia website plays a crucial role in supporting the OK OCE social movement, which aims to create jobs and promote economic independence through entrepreneurship development. With the advancement of digital technology and the growing expectations and needs of users, several issues have been identified in the interface design and user experience (UI/UX) of this website. The main problems identified are low user engagement due to a less intuitive design, difficult navigation, and a layout that does not support efficient information access. This research aims to redesign the UI/UX of the OK OCE Indonesia website using the Design Thinking method. This method is applied through the stages of empathy, problem definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing, to produce a user-centered and adaptable design solution. Preliminary results from this redesign show that the new design has successfully improved the quality of the user experience, particularly in terms of ease of navigation, visual consistency, and interface appeal. Overall, these changes are expected to better support the mission of OK OCE in expanding its social impact more effectively, while also contributing to entrepreneurship development in Indonesia through more efficient and responsive digital technology.

Abstract

The monitoring system for water level in peatland is crucial for detecting the potential for fires, especially during the dry season. This study develops a water level monitoring system using a water float level sensor capable of detecting changes in water level in real-time. Data from the sensor is transmitted via the LoRa SX1278 Ra-02 module, enabling long-range data transmission. The system was tested under two conditions: Line of Sight (LoS) and Non-Line of Sight (NLoS), to measure the signal strength indicated by the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI). In the LoS condition, the best RSSI value was recorded at -63 dBm at a distance of 15.5 meters, while in the NLoS condition, the lowest RSSI value reached -110 dBm at a distance of 148 meters. The results show that this system is effective in monitoring water levels in peatland with reliable data transmission, even in remote areas. The integration of the water float level sensor and LoRa technology in this system has the potential to be a valuable tool for preventing peatland fires through real-time monitoring of water conditions.

Abstract

The increasing bullying is based on several factors, and the factor that can be clearly seen is the post-incident handling or follow-up process from both the victim and the perpetrator. Because it is possible that with the incident experienced by the victim (bullying), the victim will become the perpetrator and the perpetrator without any further good mentoring process will remain the perpetrator at another time and victim. So in preventing or handling this bullying, it cannot only focus on the victim (which often happens also does not dare to report the bullying incident experienced) but must also pay attention to the perpetrator's side. In general and mainly, this application has a feature to receive, process and manage follow-up reporting of bullying incidents, which can be used to manage and provide follow-up related to bullying cases that occur, so that it is expected to break the chain of other bullying by both the perpetrator and the victim. The development of this application uses the scrum method which has several advantages including being more efficient and faster in application development where this method prioritizes cooperation, planning and product quality. Based on the results of testing the program/application, it was found that the functions in the application were running according to the expectations of the application developer.

Abstract

The demand for railway transport in Java has increased along with the increasing population growth and increasingly complex mobility needs. Trains have become one of the main modes of transport due to their efficiency and reliability in travelling medium and long distances. However, there is a significant imbalance between ticket demand and train capacity availability, especially during holiday seasons, holidays, and weekends. To solve this problem, a simulation is needed to predict the number of passengers in the future using the Neural Network Backpropagation method. The implementation of this system resulted in a prediction accuracy rate of 80.33%, which provides PT Kereta Api Indonesia with an important tool to better manage schedules and capacity. It is hoped that this research can make a significant contribution to improving the company's operational efficiency, while providing a better experience for passengers. In addition, this research is also expected to provide stakeholders with greater insight into the dynamics of transport demand in Java, and help formulate more effective policies to support the growth of the public transport sector. With the results of this study, PT Kereta Api Indonesia is expected to develop optimal strategies in adjusting train capacity to the unstable passenger demand, while local governments can utilise this information to design policies that support the sustainability of transport services in Java.

Abstract

Autonomous learning plays an important role in online learning, especially in multicultural environments such as Little Sun School which teaches English, Mandarin and Indonesian language learning. However, the use of WhatsApp application as a communication medium is considered ineffective to support discussion and question and answer in autonomous learning. Therefore, this research develops an Android-based chatbot application using a rule-based method that is able to provide automatic responses and provide a private discussion space between students and teachers. This application is developed using waterfall method and utilizes Firebase for user authentication, real-time data storage, and file management. Interim trials showed that the Chat Lang app can provide quick and structured responses, increase student participation, speed up the question and answer process, and improve interaction between students and teachers, compared to previous communication methods. These results indicate that the Chat Lang app is effective in supporting self-directed learning.

Abstract

The process of recording lecturer attendance, which is one of the factors in teaching that must be recorded at each learning meeting, is carried out by lecturers and students directly (manually), by filling in the attendance list prepared by the admin staff of the study program. However, this process resulted in difficulties in the reporting process (recap of lecturer teaching attendance data) to be reported to the head of the study program, deputy dean for academic affairs. Attendance is a benchmark for determining the level of presence of lecturers in teaching at a university so that lectures can run well with activeness between lecturers and students who attend the lectures being held. To make it easier to create lecturer teaching attendance applications using the waterfall method and using web-based programming, namely PHP and MySQL. The application is created in accordance with the lecture schedule which functions as access control (schedule access control) to maintain order in taking attendance and make it easier for staff in the process of recording and monitoring lecturers' attendance and discipline in conducting lectures. Making this application serves to make it easier to record lecturer attendance and make it easier for study programs to monitor lecturer attendance. After using this attendance application, it makes it easier for lecturers to organize teaching time, as well as increasing the level of discipline for lecturers and making it easier for the lecturer performance assessment process carried out by the study program.

Abstract

Timely graduation is a crucial indicator of the success of study programs in higher education. However, in the Computer Science Study Program at UIN Sumatera Utara, the number of students graduating on time is relatively low. This study aims to predict student graduation using the C5.0 algorithm, a part of Decision Tree, to classify students who graduate on time and those who graduate late. The data used includes GPA scores from semesters 1 to 4, total credits (SKS), final project duration, study period, and entry pathway. From 100 data samples, the model was tested using a 70:30 data split ratio. The evaluation results showed that the prediction model using the C5.0 algorithm achieved 100% accuracy, with Precision, recall, and f1-score values of 1.00 for both classes, namely "On Time" and "Late." This research demonstrates that the C5.0 algorithm can accurately predict student graduation and assist the university in developing strategies to improve timely graduation rates.

Abstract

This research addresses the need for a water rescue device capable of autonomously moving towards a survival position while being remotely controlled. The main problem investigated is how to design an electric safety buoy that can move stably in currents and waves while being operated remotely using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Data were collected through prototype testing under various load and control range conditions. The research method involves designing and implementing a control system based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller, with a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) algorithm to maintain buoy stability, and an RF communication module for remote control up to 500 meters. The test results show that the buoy can achieve an average speed of 1.35 m/s at 100% throttle with an 80 kg load and maintain stability in various water conditions. The standard deviation of speed indicates minimal variation between tests, demonstrating good movement stability. This research contributes to the development of IoT-based safety devices, enhancing the effectiveness of water rescue operations. With the use of a PID algorithm, the buoy can automatically adjust direction and speed, making it more responsive to remote control commands and able to withstand dynamic water conditions.
