Abstract

Bibliometric studies have been utilized as analysis tools to explore publications and scientific research on the topic, from the novelty of scientific maps to the scheme of the bibliometric. Meanwhile, the systematic procedural explained in the series of bibliometrics, on the other hand, needs to be conducted by the researchers. However, the concise research procedure on bibliometric analysis is a valuable tool to project research gaps, tentative trends, co-occurrence, and authorship. The topic chosen is social infrastructure, which needs to be identified for bibliometric analysis. Consequently, the paper aims to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric of social infrastructure. Collected data from Scopus include 4,111 publications retrieved from the database. Moreover, bibliometrics has a couple of significant analyses of the domain (level of analysis) and knowledge structure. The results indicated a remarkable footprint for social infrastructure research involving authors, sources, and publications following this subject. Likewise, the nation and association produced significant efforts towards the subject. Consecutively, the science mapping approach was thoroughly confiscated, including social infrastructure-related research, intellectual research, and the structure of the topic. Abstract

Fiscal decentralization represents a pivotal strategy by the Indonesian Government to promote equitable development and alleviate regional disparities. Within this framework, Special Autonomy Funds, integral to the Transfer to Region scheme, act as a critical policy instrument. Despite numerous studies, the definitive role of fiscal decentralization on regional economic dynamics still needs to be solved. This research endeavors to deepen the understanding of fiscal decentralization's impact in Indonesia by examining the effects of the Special Autonomy Funds on the regional economy. Specifically, it assesses how these funds influence the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) Per Capita at Current Prices (ADHB) across Aceh, Papua, and West Papua provinces. The results show a significant impact of the Special Autonomy Funds on the GRDP Per Capita ADHB, with a high R2 of 94.2% by using panel regression analysis. Abstract

Abstract

Development planning is to prepare a development plan that serves as a guide or reference. Regional governments carry out the development based on the capabilities and potential of resources (natural and human) as well as existing economic opportunities. Thus, the development planning can be realized. Local leaders, particularly Village Heads, play a crucial role as they engage directly with the community, possessing authority given by the regent, mayor, or district head. This research used qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. The results of this research indicate that the role of the Village Head in administering the government of the development planning process in Limpung Village is generally going quite well, although the results have not yet reached optimal outcomes. Optimizing the role of the village head is crucial so that the unexecuted development can be completed in accordance with the plannings and objectives. Keywords: Role, Local Leaders, Development Planning

Abstract

Surabaya is inevitably influenced by the global trend of an ageing population; thus, policymakers need to integrate this factor into the city's future planning. This research seeks to outline the forthcoming elderly demographic and suggest strategies that correspond with this emerging trend. This research employs a dual methodology, integrating numerical data analysis with descriptive insights. The methodology utilizes the cohort component projection approach alongside content analysis. Data was obtained through secondary surveys by extracting data from existing literature. The results indicate that by 2050, there will be a significant rise in the elderly demographic, which will directly impact the old-age dependency ratio, necessitating proactive measures to address this concern. The Surabaya City Government can pursue initiatives aligned with the Age-Friendly City concept, though enhancements across various dimensions of this framework are necessary beforehand. Keywords: Cohort Component Projection, Ageing Population, and Age-Friendly City.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of gender equality on regional development, represented by regional economic growth. The analysis applies econometric methods to panel data from 27 districts/cities in West Java Province for the 2018–2022 period, with the Common Effect Model (CEM) selected as the optimal regression model for this study. Gender equality is represented by indicators such as the ratio of female to male in per capita expenditure, mean years of schooling, life expectancy, and labor force participation rate. The findings reveal heterogeneous effects: gender equality in per capita expenditure, education, and health positively influences economic growth, with health, as measured by life expectancy, being the most significant factor. Conversely, the labor force participation rate exhibits a negative effect, indicating challenges in optimizing female's roles in the labor market. Overall, the study finds that gender equality development contributes 12.34% to West Java's economic growth. These findings highlight the need to provide equal opportunities for female by enhancing access to education, healthcare, and economic resources while addressing barriers in labor force participation to achieve inclusive and sustainable development. Keywords: Econometrics Analysis, Economic Growth, Gender Equality, Regional Development.
