Abstract

Potensi budidaya cabai Hiyung di Kalimantan Selatan sangat tinggi, mengingat ketersediaan lahan yang luas seperti lahan gambut. Namun tanah gambut memiliki kandungan unsur hara yang rendah, sehingga diperlukan pemupukan yang tepat untuk mengatasi hal tersebut. Salah satunya dengan pemberian pupuk organik berupa kotoran burung walet yang cukup banyak dan dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan cabai Hiyung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kotoran burung walet terhadap pertumbuhan cabai Hiyung (Capsicum frutescens L.) di lahan gambut. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen Pot. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktor tunggal. Ada lima taraf perlakuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu W0, W2.5, W5, W7.5, dan W10 dengan takaran 0, 2.5, 5, 7.5, dan 10 ton ha-1. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak empat kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kotoran burung walet berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman (28 dan 35 HST) dan jumlah daun (28, 35, dan 42 HST). Namun, itu tidak mempengaruhi diameter batang. Pemberian dosis terbaik pada perlakuan kotoran burung walet adalah 10 ton ha-1 dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan cabai Hiyung terutama tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun.

Abstract

Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) is a horticultural commodity that is much needed and favored by the community because of its good taste, ease to get and cultivation is not too difficult. The higher the level of human awareness of healthy living, the need for mustard vegetables in the country also increases. Given the economic value and health benefits, it is natural that efforts to increase production continues. The research was conducted for four months starting from October 2019 to January 2020. Located on Jl. Ahmad Yani Km 36, Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan Province. The design used is a Single-factor Randomized Design (RAL) that is a measure of chicken manure (P) consisting of five levels of treatment repeated four times so that 20 experimental units were obtained. The results showed that the provision of chicken manure in the soil ultisol has a real effect on the number of pakcoy leaves aged 20 days after planting, while other parameters have no real effect. The provision of chicken manure dose of 10 tons ha-1 (p2) equivalent to 20 grams per polybag produces a top weight of 105.50 grams.

Abstract

Mustard (Brassica juncea. L) is a horticultural commodity that has good commercial and prospects. However, in the cultivation process, this plant experiences many obstacles, one of which is the attack of the caterpillar (Plutella xylostella L.) which is detrimental to farmers, which can cause damage of 54-83%, so further handling is needed using the entomopathogenic fungus B. bassiana to control the damage caused by pest attacks. This study aims to determine the best concentration of B. bassiana in increasing mortality of tritip caterpillar (P. xylostella). This research was conducted at the Agroecotechnology Integrated Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan from August - October 2020. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with a single factor treatment consisting of six treatments and four replications. So that the total number of 24 experimental units is obtained. The observation parameters in the study were the mortality percentage of the caterpillar pest (Plutella xylostella L.) and the mean time of death of the caterpillar pest (Plutella xylostella L.). The application of the entomopathogenic fungus B. bassiana had a significant effect on the mortality of the caterpillar pest. The best dose to increase the mortality of tritip caterpillar was found in treatment b5 B. bassiana with a dose of 2.5 g / 100 mL aquades with a mortality percentage of 97.5% and the fastest mean time of death was obtained in treatment b4 b. bassiana with a dose of 2 g / 100 mL of distilled water with an average time of death of 2.1 days or 50.4 hours.

Abstract

Paddy (Oryza sativa L.) is a food crop that remains a top priority in agricultural development, with the increasing world population and humans starting to face various problems including food supply. The decrease occurred due to the increasingly complex pest problem felt by farmers from year to year, this is thought to be due to global climate change which affects local seasons/weather patterns which are closely related to pest development. This study aims to determine the diversity of insect pests and enemies. naturally in the vegetative to generative (harvesting) phase. This study uses direct observation and assessment methods of insect pests and natural enemies in the field by using light traps to trap insects. The way to find out the number of trapped insects is by using the diversity index, richness index and dominance index. The results of this study indicate that insect pests attack more rice plants, namely 2112 than natural enemies 1728.

Abstract

The availability of banana seeds, especially Sulindang bananas as a fruit commodity in South Kalimantan, cannot be met on a large scale. The problem is that Sulindang banana seeds are still produced conventionally that produce small amounts of weeds. The solution that can be done to get maximum seed yield is by tissue culture. The research aims to determine the influence of interaction between BAP and kinetin on the growth of banana weevil explant Sulindang. This study used RAL two factors in the form of kinetin concentration and BAP concentration, consisting of 4 levels of kinetin; k0 = 0 mg l-1 kinetin; k1 = 1 mg l-1 kinetin; k2 = 2 mg l-1 kinetin; k3 = 3 mg l-1 kinetin and consists of 4 levels of BAP; b0 = 0 mg l-1 BAP; b1 = 2 mg l-1 BAP; b2 = 2.5 mg l-1 BAP; b3 = 3 mg l-1 BAP. The observed variables are changes in the morphology of the explant, the time the buds appear, the number of buds, the number of leaves, the percentage of living explants, the percentage of explants of contamination and the percentage of browning. The results of this study showed that there was no interaction between various concentrations of BAP and kinetin with banana explant Sulindang in the in vitro growth response in MS media.  The BAP concentration did not affect the growth of the Sulindang Alas banana weevil explants. Single factor kinetin 2 mg l-1 was able to give the best results on the percentage of live explants at week 3 and week 6, respectively 96.88% and 93.75%. Also gives the smallest percentage of contamination at week 3 of 3.13% and week 4 to week 6, respectively - 6.25%.

Abstract

ABSTRACTOne of the potential food crop commodities of horticultural subsectors that continues to increase is white oyster mushrooms.  Utilization of coconut water is one alternative to increase production in the cultivation of oyster mushroom organic nature that is safe for consumers.This study aims to find out the best influence and dose of coconut water administration on baglog media on the growth and yield of white oyster mushrooms. The research was conducted in January-June 2020 in Banjarbaru The experimental method used is Rancagan Acak Lengkap (RAL) one factor in the form of coconut water dose (P). P0 : control, P1 : 8 mL coconut water / baglog, P2 : 12 mL coconut water / baglog, P3 : 15 mL coconut water / baglog and P4: 20 mL coconut water / baglog. Each treatment is repeated 4 times so that there are 20 units of experiments. Each experimental unit has 5 baglogs so there are 100 baglogs of white oyster mushrooms. Abstract

Each planting season, rice straw produced in rice cultivation is also abundant, around 7-10 tons/ha if the rice straw is not managed properly it will cause problems for the surrounding environment. One of the efforts to maximize rice straw management is by composting it. In addition to adding nutrients, compost fertilizer can also improve soil properties that support plant growth. Cherry tomato is a plant that will grow well on sandy loam type soil, fertile, loose, has a high organic matter content, and easily attracts water (porous). This study aims to analyze the effect of rice straw compost with soil as a planting medium on the growth of cherry tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme) in nurseries. This research was conducted from March to April 2020 at the Tanah Laut Dormitory, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan. Using a single factor completely randomized design (CRD) method with 4 treatments and each treatment was repeated 5 times until 20 experimental units were obtained. The results showed that the composition of the planting medium was 75% soil: 25% compost of rice straw waste showed the best effect on each observation.

Abstract

Edamame is a type of soybean (Glycine max (L) Merr.) which has an average production of 3.5 t.ha-1 higher than the production of ordinary soybeans, so it requires a large enough basic fertilizer requirement. Some important elements in total nutrient balance are C-Organic, total N and C/N. Liquid fertilizer is more easily absorbed by plants because the nutrients contained have been decomposed. Organic fertilizers are fertilizers that play a role in increasing the biological, chemical, and physical activities of the soil. While Trichoderma sp. is a soil saprophytic fungus that produces organic compounds in the decomposition process of various organic materials. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of giving cow urine POC and Trichoderma sp. on the content of C-organic, total N, and C/N as well as soybean yield on ultisol soil, knowing the most influential concentration and the relationship between C-Organic, total N, and C/N on edamame soybean production. The study was carried out at the Experimental Field, Department of Agroecotechnology, from July – October 2019. The study used a combination randomized block design (RAK) of cow urine POC and Trichoderma sp. There were 9 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so that 27 experimental units were obtained. Observation parameters were the effect of combination on C-organic content (%), total N (%), C/N, number of pods (fruit), and wet weight per plot (grams). The best combination of treatment was cow urine POC treatment 0 ml.l-1 water + Trichoderma sp. 40 ml.plant-1.

Abstract

Rice is one of the staple foods of the Indonesian people. Siam Mutiara Rice is local superior varieties of South Kalimantan which are in great demand by the people of Banjar. The supply of rice to meet the needs cannot be separated from the stock of rice in the storage warehouse. Long storage of rice often causes problems, one of which is the presence of Sitophilus oryzae L. The presence of these pests must be controlled so as not to damage both in terms of quality and quantity. the control that can be done is using botanical pesticides with the aim that these pests can be controlled but have no impact on humans who consume them. his study aims to determine the effect of effective administration of lemongrass and noni leaf powder on mortality, speed and weight loss in rice Siam Mutiara. This research was conducted in March 2021 – April 2021 at the Integrated Laboratory of the Department of Agroecotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) 1 factor with treatment D0 (control/without application), D1 (15 g lemongrass leaf powder), D2 (15 g noni leaf powder), D3 (7.5 g lemongrass leaf powder; 7.5 g of noni leaf powder), D4 (10 g of lemongrass leaf powder; 5 g of noni leaf powder) and D5 (5 g of lemongrass leaf powder; 10 g of noni leaf powder). The treatment was repeated 4 times to obtain 24 experimental units. The results showed that the application of lemongrass and noni leaf powder was able to control and suppress the weight loss of Siam Mutiara rice. The effective treatment in controlling rice lice was D2 with a mortality percentage of 46.3%, a mortality rate of 0.4 head/day and was able to suppress rice weight loss by 0.2 g.

Abstract

The increase in the population of Indonesia is 1.36% per year, so it is estimated that in 2020, 35.97 million tonnes of rice will be needed. The average production of superior rice varieties is 2.3 tons.ha-1 with a range of 2-2.5 tons.ha-1 and the average local rice varieties are 1.8 tons.ha-1 with a range of 1.5-2, 4 ton.ha-1.  The purpose of this research is to find out what problems exist in order to increase rice production in Limamar Village, Astambul District, Banjar Regency. This research uses a descriptive method. The research was conducted using the field survey method, this research was conducted in three stages, namely: (i) preparation, (ii) field implementation, (iii) data processing, and report preparation. Data were collected through field surveys as primary data, namely by collecting questionnaire data in Limamar Village. Based on the results of survey research carried out that the problem of increasing rice productivity in Limamar Village can be seen from gender, age, fertilization and pest control.
