Abstract

A city through the years is always growing and developing along with the development of a variety of urban activities. One of the triggers of the development is the city residents. The increase in population resulted in increasingly high demand for settlement. Moreover, the surge in population also occurred in Bandung city, where one of the changes in the use of space is visible in Taman Hewan Balubur-Tamansari. This area is growing and changing from being a compact place to a solid kampong with an extensive use of space. The purpose of this research basically was to reveal the configuration and the visibility of the changes that occurred as well as examine what factors that caused the occurrence of a change in the use of space function in Taman Hewan Balubur-Tamansari in Bandung. Research used a descriptive approach. As for data collection, this study used questionnaire and analysis with LoS (Logic of Space) theory. This study addressed the thought (value system) of the community based on empirical phenomena in the education area of the settlements that are located in the major cities of Indonesia, which was then analyzed in inductive and qualitative ways. Through a qualitative research method using grounded theory, the study was expected to contribute to the vocabulary knowledge of space theory in addressing the urban density of the urban space as the impact of urbanization and student migration. Moreover, research aimed to enrich the theory about the local cultural values settled in the area of education in major cities of Indonesia, where the findings of the local theory eventually provide the realization that the value spaces for people living in the neighborhoods of the city is not only for quantitative aspects, but also for the concept of the basis theory of spaces in the city. All this time, the architectural space theory is always used to the idea of space based on the theory from the West.

Abstract

Bali has written rules about building procedures which are traditionally are still used today. The rules are written in an ancient manuscript in the form of a palm leaf known as Asta Kosala Kosali (AKK). The AKK manuscript has been around since the arrival of the Aryans from the Majapahit kingdom to Bali, therefore the architectural products produced in this period are called Bali Arya’s architecture. Based on the contents of the AKK script, the disclosure of architectural knowledge is carried out using an architectural perspective in the context of construction. This perspective and context used show that this research is different from previous studies of the AKK manuscripts that use cultural, anthropological, and historical perspectives. This study places the AKK script as the main object of research, therefore the method used is to apply hermenetic operations or called interpretations. Through this research architectural knowledge can be formulated in the context of construction, namely; 1) the basic foundation of the construction process that is carried out is truth in the process, obedience to the principles of building and the achievement of pleasure in each stage and its results. 2) The principles applied in the construction process, technically is the assembly of construction components starting from the building body, applying the principle of strong columns -weak beams, prioritizing the sustainability of materials, construction and building, and using rational composition of regular geometric shapes to achieve beauty . 3) The basic concept as the ultimate goal of the construction process is the balance and harmony of the relationship between humans, nature and God. These three formulations are components of the building of Bali Arya’s architectural knowledge in the context of the construction process. Keywords: knowledge; construction process; Bali Arya’s architecture; interpretation

Abstract

Abstract—Nowadays Building Information Modeling, known as BIM has become a common topic in construction technology. Indonesian government has even accelerated the implementation of BIM as a requirement in planning above 2000 m2 since year 2018. The word renovation in BIM life cycle means one of the post-project building phases after maintenance, rehabilitation but before reach demolition phases as an ending of the building. On the other hand, renovation is not a strange thing for the Indonesian people and has direct meaning to its activity. Even though occupying a new property, there is always a tendency to change, add or even reduce some parts of existing buildings. Renovation is also unavoidable when there is a change in function in a building and it can be classified as adaptive reuse as part of the concept of sustainable building, a preservation and rehabilitation of an old building that has unique design or contains certain historical significance. This research is structured and focuses more on the issue of time efficiency which is very significant in the renovation stage. The method used in the form of a comparison between conventional methods with methods that apply the BIM concept. This is interesting to be observed as the benefits of research so that the concept of BIM can be understood and seen its real advantages. Keywords—building information modeling, renovation, efficiency

Abstract

Abstract - Inpatient Installation Room (IRNA) is a facility that is owned by each hospital, which requires a source of clean water with a large capacity and produces large amounts of wastewater as well. Wastewater in the form of gray water, black water, or special wastewater can be treated before being discharged or reused as a source of recycle water. The main elements in the concept of sustainability are “reduce, reuse, and recycle”, the concept can be applied to the building planning, one of which is the building utility system. The application of the concept of sustainability in the NURI building is found in the building wastewater treatment system (Gray water) as a source of recycle water that is used specifically for a flush on the toilet. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a quantitative field data analysis approach, namely data on the number of building users, the capacity of clean water, wastewater, and recycle water, as well as the dimensions of the water reservoir. This study aims to determine and understand the effectiveness of the volume and use of space for reservoirs of clean water, wastewater, and recycle water by applying the concept of sustainability to the building wastewater treatment system in the building. Keywords – Hospital, Wastewater, Recycle Water, Sustainability, NURI Building.

Vehicles operated on the road include bus cars, goods cars, articulated cars, train carts, special vehicles and public transportation. The application of risk management can be used in all fields of work and even in various activities, including decision making, operations, processes, functions, projects, products, services and assets (ISO 31000, 2009). In Indonesia transportation has an important role in supporting national development. Indonesia is an archipelagic country where the development of the transportation sector is designed to support the movement of the economy, national stability and also reduce development inequality between regions by expanding the reach of the distribution of goods and services throughout the archipelago. With the existence of transportation, the economy of the community is more evenly distributed so that it is expected that people's welfare will increase, because the community is easier to get the goods and services needed. One of the important facilities in the land transportation sector is motorized vehicles. Keywords: Environmental, Sustainability, Pollution, Transportation
