This article describes that prayer is the peak expression in religion. The prayer is a primordial form that characterizes spiritualism. Spirituality is indeed a thing that cannot be separated from humans. Berdo'a is a spiritual communication between the servant's self and his Lord. Prayer is the privilege of speaking, greeting and pleading to the Almighty. Munajat is a privilege that belongs to humans, for that prayer should be well studied and applied to the side of human life, both Muslims, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus and other religions. With sincerity in studying prayer, it is hoped that people can communicate and relate to God correctly. So that it can solve all the problems that are being and will be faced.

The phenomenon of the settlement of Islam and religious authority is significant to studied, becouse it is the concept of forming a new religious authority in the contemporary. This paper begins to explain the concept of authority as seen from the process of commodification and religification. As well as the thought of the restoration of the religious teacher Dhanu recoveri as a purification of Islamic recovery. To answer this question, the authors conducted field observation and discussed literature, as well as conducted several empirical studies on various alternative treatments offline and online. Data obtained though participant observation and documentation, as well as literature studies. After the data is collected, data analysis is carried out though the process of analyzing data, classifying, reducing data, interpreting data, and making conclusions. The results of this study are the rehabilitation of Islam created by the Dhanu cleric which can be seen through television and youtube sites and shows, making history of the recovery of Islam, culture, and political economy. The salient difference from Dhanu’s recovery is the claim of purificative healing and criticism of the use of magic and spells by shamans or clerics. This healing of Dhanu give birth to a new religious authority in the Islamic world.

The different belief among individual is an undeniable reality in history or man. The study on plurality and minority showed the dynamics of change in all parts of the world including in Indonesia. One of the local beliefs in Indonesia is Sunda Wiwitan. This article is aimed to observe the religiosity life especially the follower of Sunda Wiwitan in getting their civil rights as the citizens of a state. The study showed that there was a tendency of unfairness to the local belief followers especially in getting their civil rights. Whereas the power and ability of religiosity oriented to the multicultural which accept the plurality. The plurality acceptance was not taken for granted. It needed reinforcement and experience to be able to do religious deconstruction. The state, in this context, as the regulator should recheck the civil rights demand into the policies. Thus, it could give the same right for all the citizen including the local belief followers.

This article aims to study the idea and thought of Shaikh Muhammad Tahir Jalaluddin al-Falaki al-Azhari on the concept of bid’ah [innovation] dan the issues related to it. Bid’ah [innovation] is a problematic issue among muslim society in Malaysia. Generally, it is due to two main streams of thought between Kaum Muda [ultra-ortodox] and Kaum Tua [orthodox] that look at the issues from their own perspectives which are different from one another. In the context of this paper, it focuses to view the idea and thought of Shaikh Muhammad Tahir Jalaluddin himself. Hopefully, it will ease and help the muslim society in Malaysia to interact between them peacefully as allowed in Islam, and not vice-versa.

Identity and representation are two significant things in human life. While religion and ethnicity are two things that become identity and representation of humans. The democratic process in Indonesia is inseparable from the orientation of identity politics and representation. This research is qualitative in nature which focuses on research in the case of the second round of DKI regional elections in the period 2018-2022. The case will be analyzed using the theory of identity politics and political representation. The results of the study indicate that the orientation of identity politics and political representation influences the democratic process in the case of the 2018-2022 DKI elections.

This study discusses religious explanations as a form of communication behavior among public relations officers at Pakuwon General Hospital, Sumedang. Here discussed how the adaptation of a hospital to the times, including an outbreak of a disease, such as Covid-19. With a qualitative approach and descriptive method, it is known that the hospital not only meets the health needs of patients, but also as a place of calm will be anxious about health problems. Due to the strong religious attitude, the religious explanation from the Public Relations also always accompanies the logic of explanation to patients, including about Covid-19. The need for existence is a major need during epidemics, where health and safety needs affect each other. The need for humanistic concern is the most important of the needs of interconnection; Interpersonal and family needs also increase. Here the religious explanation plays an important role because the society faced is also a religion-based society, namely Islam as the majority religion of Sumedang residents. It was found that the existence, linkages, and growth in clinical nurses need to coexist. Religious explanation is very helpful to meet the information needs so that communication between the hospital and the families of COVID-19 Patients Under Supervision (PDP) can be felt properly.

This study examines the relation of Religion and the Traditional Medicine System to rural communities. The big conclusion of this dissertation shows that there are religious relations with the traditional medical system in the form of integration of religious functions into the traditional medicine system. Acculturation of religion and culture is evident in the traditional medicine system. The most important thing that characterizes traditional medicine is that at the practical level the traditional medical system in rural communities is inseparable from the magical and religious elements. So based on that religious function can be used as a function of therapy. This study uses qualitative methods, using two data sources. First, primary data obtained from document studies, field observations, In-depth Interview and Focus Group Discussion. The informant is obtained by Purposive and snowballing. Secondary data is supporting data obtained from books, journals, and magazines. To analyze the relationship between religion and the traditional medical system in rural communities, it was analyzed with three approaches to sociology, anthropology and psychology.

The Da'wah through literary works is based on Al-Quran surah Ali Imran verse 110. Da'wah through literary works, in this case, the writer or creator of literary works is an element of da'i. Religious points, both religious themes or messages are elements of the message of preaching. While literary works are the media of his da'wah. Da'wah through literary works will be most successful depending on the way the presentation and packaging it uses. Da'i who are competent to become Islamic writers are needed. This was to meet the challenges when many writers (writers) often turned away from religious literature and preferred to pursue liberalism or genital literature (exploiting sex). Therefore, a cadre of the preachers should be needed for proselytizing professionals through literary works. Need to conduct training based on "Da'wah and Literature". The trainings study theoretically and practically about da'wah through media literary works. The main goal is for the preachers to be both theoretically and practically skilled in preaching through.

The era of information technology that has developed dynamically in recent years has brought significant changes in the way to communicate and mobilize the masses. Public spaces that were once confined to a certain space and time, are now eliminated by the latest technology, to give birth to unlimited public space and can be accessed by anyone, anywhere and anytime. Public space is called virtual public space. The sophistication and effectiveness of this virtual public space is increasingly apparent when a new social movement is able to use it. One of the new social movements was called the National Movement for Guards Fatwa (GNPF) of the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) which was born around the end of 2016. This paper tried to examine the MUI GNPF as a new social movement that managed to make maximum use of virtual public space. Felt until now, a year later. In general, this paper is divided into two. The first part discusses the actions of the MUI's GNPF and a series of Islamic Defending Action. The second part discusses virtual public space which is used as the main means for the GNPF MUI in its movement to mobilize the masses.

Mystical rituals are still very thick in people's lives. Even though the times are modern, rituals in the supernatural are still performed. Community life cannot be separated from mystical rituals, which are then manifested in their spiritual practice. In this study presented a mystical ritual performed by pilgrims who Ngalab Berkah on Gunung Kemukus. Theritual Ngalab Berkah will be used as an object of study in relation to contestation in the political world. By using a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis, it was found that theframe Javanese religious and Max Weber's theory regarding charismatic leadership caused mystical rituals to remain in demand among political contestants. The results of mystical rituals in the form of Ngalab Berkah on Gunung Kemukus, make ritual performers get harmonization between macrocosm and microcosms, charisma as a leader, get pulung (kebegjan), and get wisdom and mercy from Prince Samudra. Mystical rituals carried out by pilgrims proved to be a powerful enough path for political contestants to win their contest in the political world.
