The Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang published Manajemen Bisnis (MB) journal in 2011. Start in December 2018, the MB journal has online ISSN 2655-2523 for articles that publish started from Volume 9 No. 1, April 2019. Then, start from Volume 9 No. 2. MB journal has been accredited for SINTA 4. MB journal is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal published twice a year (April and October). This journal published articles in Bahasa but in 2019 MB journal published all articles in English. This journal only accepts articles from original research results. MB journal welcomes all articles related to management and business fields. Subjects suitable for publication include financial management, marketing management, human resource management, operation management, strategic management, entrepreneurship, business ethics, and international business. Manajemen Bisnis journal has been indexed in Google Scholar and DOAJ. MB journal keeps an attempt to be indexed in other journal directories.

Abstract

This study is to examine the effect of the relationship between scarcity promotion, consumer competition, on impulse purchases. Data were collected using a questionnaire, a sample of 100 respondents was taken based on purposive sampling. Data analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS), this path analysis technique will be used in testing the magnitude of the contribution shown by the path coefficients on each path diagram of the causal relationship between SP, KK, and IP variables. The findings reveal that scarcity promotion, consumer competition, affects impulse purchases positively and significantly. Consumer competition mediates the relationship between scarcity promotion and impulse purchase. The better the scarcity promotion, the higher the consumer's impulse purchase.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence the use and security of assets have on asset optimization through asset control intervening variables, this is motivated by the implementation of asset administration, management and control. The research method used is the Kolmogorof-Smirnov one sample data normality test, collinearity test, multicollinearity test, and table f analysis test, as well as analysis test using intervening variables or path analysis. Based on the results of the calculations on the data normality test, it can be concluded that the data is normally distributed, the research variables are perfectly correlated, the variable does not occur multicollinearity, the f table test can explain all independent variables, can explain the dependent variable of each variable, the variable has a direct influence through intervening variable on asset optimization. The object of research is to immediately carry out administration, management and control based on the applicable money laws and regulations and complete a complete and detailed list of assets per each asset and can also carry out control by taking inventory, asset control card and complete a list of assets in each room, prequires commitment from the leadership in the work unit in order to administer assets to improve asset optimization and training, workshops, seminars and courses are needed for asset officers at the Center for the Study and Development of Agricultural Technology

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the strategic position of the Bumi Silampari Islamic High School (STAI) in Lubuklinggau City, South Sumatra, at this time and its development in the future. This research method uses a SWOT approach with a total of 13 respondents who are elements of the leadership of STAI Bumi Silampari, based on data described from the external environment and internal environment, the results show that the position of Islamic religious high schools is currently in the quadrant (IA) graph. Cartesius is a stable growth strategy, meaning that STAI Bumi Silampari can grow according to its capabilities, even though business opportunities are still available, however, the growth of STAI Bumi Silampari cannot be fast, but gradually, because the relatively large opportunities are exploited by competitors. , STAI Bumi Silampari must maximize the strengths it currently has, by identifying business opportunities and exploiting them by improving infrastructure and physical facilities of buildings and public facilities, as well as improving the quality of lecturers and appropriate compensation, as a strategy to maintain reliable human resources

Abstract

The resulting performance measures the success of a business. Performance can be said good or not based on several aspects, including conducting continuous learning to improve skills and achieve business goals and innovating to maintain the running business. The objective of this study was to analyze the impact of learning organizations on business performance through innovation as a direct and indirect mediation. This study was conducted in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Malang City with a sample of 50 respondents. Data analysis in this study used path analysis with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results found that the better the implementation of the learning organization, the greater the business performance and innovation. Innovation has a mediating role in the effect of learning organization on performance.

Abstract

Background The donation-based crowdfunding model, which is used for fundraising, has proven to be successful in collecting aid funds, especially during natural disasters and other emergencies. The crowdfunding process occurs where a group of people (a large number) financially provide a relatively small amount of money as a donation or participate in support to fund a project that can potentially get a reward (Wicks, 2013: 5) The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the campaign, brand image and Innovation Platform on kitabisa.com. Design/methodology/approach research is focused on a quantitative approach. The population in this research were all students of the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik, a sample of 100 people, namely the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Data collection techniques from this research used a questionnaire. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression with SPSS tools. Results and Discussion The results show that the effectiveness of the campaign is not significant, the hypothesis is rejected, with the development of advertising media in the current digital era unable to influence millennials to donate on the Kitabisa.com platform, while Brand Image, Platform Innovation have a positive effect and Platform innovation has a positive effect and significant to the Donation Decision. Research implications of Campaign Effectiveness, Brand image, Platform Innovation, provide great benefits to the Kitabisa.com platform in attracting donors to decide to donate on the Kitabisa.com platform.

Abstract

To maintain and improve competitiveness, exploring potentials and innovations to survive in the competition aimed at attracting student interest and gaining public recognition at the national and global levels (World Class University), universities must improve employee engagement. Because high employee engagement is a source of organizational competitive advantage in achieving its vision, mission, main goals and implementing organizational strategies at the global level. To improve employee engagement with improving HRM Practices. In this study, testing the effect of HRM practices on employee engagement with clan culture as a moderating variable. The results of these tests are expected to be a reference for organizations to improve employee engagement. Questionnaires were distributedto 154 employees of universities in Surabaya with varying criteria. After the questionnaires were collected, statistical tests were performed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of statistical testing found that employee engagement are influenced by training & development, performance appraisal and compensation. Meanwhile, clan culture only moderates the relation between compensation for employee engagement, and does not moderate the relations between training & development and performance appraisal on employee engagement. Results of this study may be employed as a policy consideration and further contribute to the literature of management studies.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the influence between service quality and the atmosphere of the store on customer satisfaction at the Business Center at a vocational high school in Lemahabang Cirebon. Research methods used are validity test, reliability test, and multiple Linear Regression. The analysis tool used is the SPSS tool. The results of this study explain the influence between service quality of the store and the atmosphere of the store on customer satisfaction. This indicates that there needs to be an improvement of services such as honest words and friendly behavior to improve the quality of store service and modify the temperature and layout of goods to be more varied to entice customers to feel happy and make more visits to support the success of the business. Abstract

Microfinance institutions are the main source of finance for the poor and the women in many country, therefore the sustainability of these companies is a concern, but that cannot be achieved without proper internal control mechanism to detect any attempt frauds that could harm the operations of microfinance institutions. The research will used literature review method by digging into previous researches to see the main courses of the failure of many microfinance institutions. The research found out that most of the microfinance institution failed due to inadequate control in place to detect malfunctions or fraud at the earlier stages that can safeguard the operations of microfinance institutions.

Abstract

Marketing is an activity that spearheads a business, without a proper marketing strategy, a business will find it difficult to get good sales. In the industrial era 4.0, competition between businesses is getting tighter, this underlies the need for a digital marketing transformation to increase the level of competition with other business players. Digital Marketing is an effort to promote a brand using digital media that can reach consumers in a timely, personal, and relevant manner. This type of digital marketing includes many of the techniques and practices contained in the internet marketing category. MSME players certainly want to develop their business following industry 4.0 trends, especially in the marketing sector. The marketing digitalization movement replaced the activities they had been doing such as marketing through billboards, banners, and word of mouth promotion. This will begin to erode along with the widespread use of technology as a marketing medium. In addition, with the high level of competition, it is necessary to carry out digital marketing transformation efforts for MSMEs to increase competitiveness, brand awareness and marketing strategies. This study uses a website development method with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) techniques and produces a store website that can be used to display MSME business profiles and shop searches that are indexed on google search with SEO techniques so as to produce a digital marketing model that works better than conventional marketing.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the influence of the work environment, work motivation, and work discipline on the performance of employees of PT Fuji Seimitsu Indonesia. The sampling method used was technique sampling non probability saturated sampling technique so that the entire population that is, 70 people were sampled. This type of research is quantitative, for data This research was obtained from a questionnaire that has been filled in by the employees of PT Fuji Seimitsu Indonesia. The analytical method used is the validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear analysis test, and coefficient determination in the IBM SPSS 22 for Windows program. The results of the work environment hypothesis test show t arithmetic> t table (2.016> 1.997) then there is an influence between the work environment on performance employees, the results of the work motivation hypothesis test show t arithmetic <t table (-0.823 <1.997) then there is no influence between work motivation on employee performance, while the results of the work discipline hypothesis test showed t count> t table (5.107> 1.997) then there is an influence between work discipline on employee performance, and simultaneously shows Fcount> F table (22,582> 2,744) then there is an influence between work environment, work motivation, and work discipline on employee performance.
