Abstract

This research entitled Strategies of Tahfidz Teachers in Improving Students' Ability to Memorize the Qur'an at MTs Ihyaul Ulum Dukun Gresik uses qualitative research. The aim of this research is to find out the strategies of Tahfidz teachers in improving students' memorization abilities, knowing the supporting factors. and factors inhibiting the implementation of tahfidz teachers in improving the ability to memorize the Al-Qur'an, and solutions for tahfidz teachers in solving barriers for students to memorize the Al-Qur'an at MTs Ihyaul Ulum Dukun Gresik. The results of this research, (1) the tahfidz teacher's strategy in improving students' memorization skills include planning the tahfidz program, time for memorizing the Al-Qur'an, memorization methods, routine sema’an, memorization exams each semester, supervision and evaluation of the tahfidz program. Tahfidz program planning has been around since the founding of the program, but once a year a plan is always held to plan targets for the next year. The memorization time which has 2 specific times, namely 6 hours a day for 4 hours, starts at 07.00-09.30 and 2 hours at 10.30-11.30. The memorization method uses 3 methods, namely: the wahdah method, the muroja'ah method and the jama method. This routine must be done once a month by reading at least 5 Juz which the students have memorized together with the Tahfidz teacher. Memorization exams every semester In every semester, students are required to take a rote exam, that is, deposit all the memorization that has been obtained within 3 months. Regarding supervision or evaluation of the tahfidz program, namely always conducting evaluations once a month with fellow tahfidz teachers and madrasa heads, always controlling students through class attendance books or journal notes and always collaborating with the student's parents, namely sending photos/documentation of the students' achievements to the guardian. students via the WhatsApp group, and also share print outs of the results of students' memorization achievements which are attached to each student's report card.(2) the strongest supporting factor is the motivation that every student has from the start of entering the tahfidz program and the addition of motivation from the ustadz/ustadzah is also very supportive in improving the students' ability to memorize. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are more internal constraints, namely time, the busy activities both at the boarding school and at school affect the discipline of students who will be lazy in memorizing. (3) The Tahfidz teacher's solution in solving students' obstacles to memorizing the Al-Qur'an is by using an individual approach to students, always providing encouragement, motivation, giving them time and memory

Abstract

This research examines the application of the muraja'ah method in the Qur'an memorization program at Thoriqul Ulum Made Islamic Boarding School, Lamongan. The implementation process is divided into three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning stage is arranged systematically through the establishment of programs, responsible persons, and schedules that are integrated with santri activities to ensure the continuity of memorization. In the implementation stage, muraja'ah activities are carried out individually or in groups, starting with a structured opening and closing with motivation from the supervisor to maintain the spirit of the students. Evaluation is carried out regularly to assess the accuracy and fluency of memorization, both through mentors and peer-review. The results showed that this strategy is effective in strengthening the memory and quality of the students' memorization, as well as making a positive contribution to achieving the educational goals of tahfidz Al-Qur'an in the pesantren

Abstract

The reconstruction of Islamic pedagogic concepts and the integration of humanistic values in contemporary Islamic education is a strategic response to global challenges such as spiritual crises, social pressures, and moral decadence. This research aims to explore how Islamic pedagogic concepts can be reconstructed with an approach to the humanistic values of Islamic education in the contemporary era? And what are the forms of integration of humanistic values in learning practices in Islamic educational institutions? The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) This approach is also in accordance with the guidelines of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and MetaAnalyses (PRISMA). The results of the study show that pedagogic approaches based on humanistic values, such as empathy, self-awareness, spirituality, and active participation, are able to present a learning space that is not only cognitive, but also touches the affective and moral dimensions of students. Thus, humanistic Islamic education is not only a bridge between tradition and modernity, but also a cultural and spiritual force in building a generation that is intelligent, moral, and ready to face the dynamics of the world wisely

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and integrate the concept of scaffolding within the framework of Islamic education by examining the thoughts of Ibn Khaldun and the constructivist theory of Lev Vygotsky. Amidst global educational challenges and the growing need for adaptive and contextual learning approaches, scaffolding emerges as an effective pedagogical strategy to support students' optimal cognitive development. Vygotsky, through his concept of the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD), underscores the importance of external assistance from teachers or more knowledgeable others in the learning process. Meanwhile, Ibn Khaldun, in his seminal work Muqaddimah, emphasizes the necessity of gradual instruction (tadarruj), repetition, and the psychological readiness of learners in acquiring knowledge. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach with a library research design. Data were analyzed through content analysis of both primary and secondary sources relevant to the topic. The findings reveal a conceptual convergence between Vygotsky's scaffolding and Ibn Khaldun's educational philosophy, particularly in the teacher's role as a facilitator and the importance of tailored learning support based on students’ capabilities. The novelty of this research lies in its integrative effort to construct a conceptual bridge between classical Islamic thought and modern educational theory. Furthermore, it offers practical contributions as a foundation for developing Islamic learning models grounded in values and contextual relevance. This study is expected to serve as a reference for progressive and localized pedagogical renewal in Islamic education.

Abstract

Hasan Al Basrhi's thoughts on the moderation of Sufism have a strong tendency towards tawasuh or moderate. Perhaps some people think that tasawu tends to direct oneself to isolate oneself with worldly frenzy so that it seems as if there is a non-reactive attitude to the surrounding conditions. But on the contrary, Hasan Al Bahsri restored the essential spirit of Sufism as a moderate religious teaching and helped shape paradigms, thinking patterns, action patterns and wasathiyah behavior patterns.

Abstract

The attitude of moderation of Prof. Dr. Habib Abdullah Baharun is contained in his book entitled "Ushul al-Wasathiyah", namely: 1) Wahdah al-Ummah (Unity of the Ummah), 2) Al-Ghuluw wa al-Takfir (Exaggeration and Disbelief), 3) The Principle of Moderation in Islam which includes: a) Respecting the sentence of monotheism, b) Abandoning things that are not beneficial, c) Giving advice and reminding others. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran manajemen mutu akreditasi dalam meningkatkan trust masyarakat yang berdampak pada meningkatnya minat masyarakat untuk menyekolahkan anak-anaknya di MTs. Sunan Ampel Kebet Lamongan. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya akreditasi tidak hanya sebagai bentuk penilaian formal, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen strategis untuk membangun reputasi dan meningkatkan mutu layanan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala madrasah, guru, komite madrasah, serta perwakilan orang tua/wali murid; observasi terhadap kegiatan madrasah; dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen mutu akreditasi di MTs. Sunan Ampel Kebet Lamongan dilakukan secara terstruktur melalui pemenuhan standar nasional pendidikan, peningkatan kompetensi guru, perbaikan sarana prasarana, serta penguatan komunikasi dengan masyarakat. Setelah memperoleh akreditasi “A”, madrasah ini mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam jumlah pendaftar baru dan perubahan positif dalam persepsi masyarakat. Kepercayaan masyarakat yang meningkat terbukti menjadi faktor utama bertambahnya minat menyekolahkan anak di madrasah tersebut. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manajemen mutu akreditasi berperan penting tidak hanya sebagai proses administratif, tetapi juga sebagai upaya membangun budaya mutu yang berdampak langsung pada reputasi dan kepercayaan publik. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi madrasah dan sekolah lain dalam mengembangkan strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concept of Hajj and Umrah bailout funds from the perspective of Islamic religious education and assess its conformity with sharia principles. The type of research is qualitative with a literature study approach to analyze the Hajj and Umrah bailout funds from the perspective of Islamic religious education. The data collected comes from the latest research in the last five years which discusses aspects of Islamic law, maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, as well as the social and economic implications of this financing scheme. The analysis in this research was carried out using a descriptive-analytical approach. The research results show that the Hajj and Umrah bailout funds are a financing scheme that makes it easy for prospective pilgrims to obtain portions of the Hajj or Umrah departure. According to Islamic law, the bailout financing scheme using the qard wal ijarah agreement still causes controversy. Some scholars state that the addition of administrative costs in the contract resembles usury if it does not have a clear justification. Therefore, strict supervision is needed in the implementation of this sharia financial product so that it does not deviate from the principle of maqāṣid al-sharī’ah, which emphasizes the welfare of the people

Abstract

This study addresses the limited fiqh understanding among students at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Hidayah Mangli Jember due to time constraints. The Nihayatuz Zain book is used for its relevant content, while the syawir method is applied to enhance comprehension. The research aims to describe the implementation of kitab learning, the use of the syawir method, and the improvement of students’ fiqh knowledge. The focus of this research includes: (1) How is the Nihayatuz Zain book taught at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Hidayah Mangli Jember? (2) How is the syawir method implemented in the learning process? (3) How is students’ fiqh knowledge strengthened at the pesantren. The research objectives are: (1) To describe the process of book learning at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Hidayah Mangli Jember, (2) To explain how the syawir method is applied in the learning activities, and (3) To describe how students’ understanding of fiqh is reinforced through the learning process.. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings show that: (1) Nihayatuz Zain learning is well-planned, covering time, place, objectives, and relevant material. (2) The syawir method runs in three stages: opening, discussion, and closing. (3) Students' fiqh understanding improves through better comprehension, argumentation with Islamic sources, and real-life application of Islamic rulings
