Abstract

The issue of waste remains an environmental challenge, including in elementary schools, which play a strategic role in building ecological awareness from an early age. This study aims to explore ecoliteracy of fifth-grade elementary school students in relation to the implementation of IPAS learning and waste management practices in the school environment. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with fifth-grade class student as subjects. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation to obtain a factual description of IPAS learning, student behavior, and the school's waste management curricula. The results show that IPAS learning related to the environment is still dominated by conventional approaches with limited practical activities, resulting in relatively low student involvement. The ecoliteracy of students is at a basic level, characterized by an understanding of the environment that has not been fully internalized in their daily behavior, particularly in the practice of waste sorting. The school waste management system also does not optimally support the development of ecoliteracy due to limited facilities and the absence of sustainable management of organic waste, including that generated by the Makan Bergizi Gratis Program. These findings emphasize that strengthening eco-literacy requires the integration of practice-based IPAS learning, the cultivation of environmentally conscious behavior, and the support of a sustainable school system and culture.

Abstract

Cargo change operations on tanker vessels carry a risk of contamination if the tank cleaning process is not performed optimally. The problem addressed in this study is the less-than-optimal implementation of cargo contamination prevention procedures during cargo change operations on board MT SAMUDERA BIRU 168. This study aims to analyze the level of implementation of tank cleaning procedures and identify factors and constraints that influence the effectiveness of its implementation. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method using a fishbone analysis approach. Data were obtained through direct observation, interviews with officers and crew members, and ship documentation. The analysis classified potential causes into several aspects, namely human resources, work methods, equipment, supervision systems, and working environment conditions. The results show that tank cleaning procedures were generally carried out according to the established stages, from stripping to final inspection before the tanks were declared dry and up to dry. However, the implementation was not fully optimal, as indicated by flushing duration not consistently reaching 30 minutes, uneven spraying in upper frame areas, and slight moisture detected during inspection. The influencing factors include human resources, operational time pressure, hot working conditions inside the tanks

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction on the productivity of female employees at UPT RSUD Haji Makassar. Type this research is quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis to test the relationship between independent variables and the dependent variable. The study involved 87 respondents who were female employees at UPT RSUD Haji Makassar, selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using SPSS software. The results show that work-life balance, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction each have a positive and significant effect on the productivity of female employees. Furthermore, simultaneously, all three variables have a positive and significant effect on the productivity of female employees at UPT RSUD Haji Makassar. These findings indicate that a balanced work and personal life, strong organizational commitment, and high job satisfaction play an important role in improving the productivity of female employees in the hospital environment.

Abstract

Analysis of Students' Ability to Solve High-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Questions in the Civics Content of Grade V at the Moepali Public Elementary School Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This study aims to describe students' ability to solve High-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions in the Civics Content of Grade V at the Moepali Public Elementary School Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD). This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. Data collection methods included interviews, tests, and documentation. The subjects were sixth-grade homeroom teachers and sixth-grade student work. Data were collected through interviews with homeroom teachers and analysis of student test results compiled based on Bloom's Taxonomy. The analysis showed that 100% of the questions used were at a high cognitive level, specifically critical thinking skills, with an average student success rate of 75% in answering HOTS questions. This study indicates that although there has been an increase in higher-order thinking skills, efforts are still needed to improve students' analytical and creative abilities.

Abstract

Latar Belakang Penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam mengorganisasi ide dan menyusun struktur teks eksplanasi secara koheren serta kurang variasi media pembelajaran yang memotivasi siswa untuk menulis. Berdasarkan latar belakang penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi peserta didik melalui metode penerapa Copy the Master berbasis Transmedia Learning di kelas X SMK Pasundan 2 Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen (eksperimen semu) yang merupakan bagian dari penelitian kuantitatif yaitu penelitian yang menggunakan data konkret, berupa angka angka dan diukur menggunakan statistik sehingga diperoleh sebuah kesimpulan. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar soal pretest,lkpd,postest,dan lembar soal. Lembar soal digunakan untuk menguji coba tes menulis teks eksplanasi. Selanjutnya data hasil tes dianalisis secara kuantitatif untuk melihat tidaknya peningkatan kemampuan menulis siswa sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan penelitian. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMK Pasundan 2 Bandung yang terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas X-TKJ C sebagai kelas eksprimen dan kelas X-TKJ-D sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Copy The Master berbasis Transmedia Learning meningkatkan kualitas tulisan siswa dari segi struktur teks, penggunaan kaidah kebahasaaan, serta kemampuan mengembangkan ide. Hal ini terlihat dengan adanya peningkatan nilai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode copy the master berbasis transmedia learning yaitu kelas X-TKJ C dengan nilai rata tata 9,86 setelah 4 kali pertemuan, dibandindgkan dengan kelas kontrol yaitu kelas X-TKJ-D yang hanya mendapatkan nilai 7,03. Media yang digunakan untuk membantu penerapan metode copy the master berbabasis transmedia learning adalah penggunaan transmedia seperti video platform youtube agar belajar lebih efektif, menarik dan interaktif. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Copy the Master berbasis Transmedia Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi peserta didik di SMK Pasundan 2 Bandung, serta dapat dijadikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran menulis di jenjang pendidikan menengah kejuruan.

Abstract

Research objectives: 1) To determine the development of Islamic Religious Education teaching materials in improving understanding of Al-Islam in SDIK Akhlakul Karimah Sudiang, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City. 2) To determine the level of understanding of Al-Islam in SDIK Akhlakul Karimah Sudiang, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City. This research uses a qualitative method. The data needed in this study are in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. All data collected are analyzed in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that 1) the development of Islamic religious education teaching materials in improving the understanding of Al Islam in students of SD Islam Karakter Akhlakul Karimah Sudiang, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City is carried out by referring to the 2013 curriculum that has been set by the Ministry of Education which includes textbooks, online materials and scientific articles then educators also try to develop teaching materials by educators attending workshops to update teaching methods which include designing lesson plans, developing content and compiling questions and making interesting presentations. 2) the level of understanding of Al Islam in students of SD Islam Karakter Akhlakul Karimah Sudiang, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City through the development of teaching materials and evaluations such as daily tests, assignments and direct observation and questions and answers, the level of student understanding in general is good with most students being able to master the basic material of education about Al Islam but there are some students who still need further guidance in the concept of Al Islam education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the quizizz learning media on the mathematical communication skill of first grade students of SD Supriyadi 02 Suemarang. The type of research used is a Quantitative Pre-Experimental Research type One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling. Sampling in this study were first grade A students of SD Supriyadi 02 Semarang with a total of 29 students consisting 0f 15 boys and 14 girls as the experimental class. Data collection uses pretest-posttest description questions. The data analysis technique in this study used the Shapiro-Wilk analysis prerequisite test and the hypothesis test used the Wilcoxon test because the data were not normally distributed. The results using the Wilcoxon test show that the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.000 on both test question which means Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that the use of the quizizz learning media has an effect on the mathematical communication skills of first grade A students of SD Supriyadi 02 Semarang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ conceptual difficulties with the topic of limits of functions in mathematics education. This study employs a literature review method using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The research data consist of scientific articles obtained from various academic databases through purposive sampling based on specific criteria, namely topic relevance, publication years from 2020 to 2025, and having undergone a peer-review process. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of identification, selection, classification, and thematic synthesis of the research findings. The results indicate that students’ difficulties with the topic of limits of functions can be classified into three main aspects: conceptual, procedural, and technical. Difficulties in the conceptual aspect were the most frequently observed, particularly in understanding the definition of a limit, distinguishing between left-hand and right-hand limits, and interpreting the behavior of functions. Difficulties in the procedural and technical aspects generally arise as a result of students’ weak conceptual understanding. Additionally, students’ difficulties are also influenced by factors such as mastery of prerequisite material, misconceptions, and a learning process that does not fully support deep conceptual understanding. These findings indicate that strengthening conceptual understanding is crucial in teaching limits of functions through the use of various representations and learning strategies that are more student-centered.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of using PhET-based interactive technology on students' learning outcomes in mathematics operations. This study is quantitative in nature, using a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study was all fourth-grade students. Saturated sampling was used, with a total of 21 students consisting of 11 boys and 10 girls. The data collection instruments used were student activity observation sheets and tests to measure students' learning outcomes in mathematical operations. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive and inferential analysis, namely the t-test. The descriptive statistical data results show that the average score for learning outcomes in mathematical calculation before using PhET-based interactive technology was 53.80, while the average score for learning outcomes after using PhET-based interactive technology was 87.14. This shows that there is a difference in learning outcomes in mathematical calculation before and after using PhET-based interactive technology. The t-test analysis data shows that the t-count = 2.429 and t-table = 1.725, so t-count = 2.429 > t-table 1.725, which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of PhET-based interactive technology has an effect on the mathematical calculation operations of second-grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Malengkeri 1.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the commodities that has experienced a significant increase in consumption among society, particularly among young people such as university students. This phenomenon is influenced not only by consumption needs but also by changes in lifestyle and academic activities among students. This study aims to analyze the demand and supply of coffee among students and the factors influencing them. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a library research method by analyzing various literature sources such as scientific journals, books, and academic publications relevant to the research topic. The results show that the demand for coffee among students is influenced by several main factors, including coffee prices, the need to increase concentration in academic activities, social environmental influences, and changes in student lifestyles. Meanwhile, the increasing demand for coffee has encouraged an increase in the supply of coffee products in various forms, such as instant coffee, packaged coffee, and coffee served in modern coffee shops around campus areas. The interaction between demand and supply indicates that coffee has become part of the consumption culture among students. Therefore, the analysis of coffee demand and supply among students demonstrates market dynamics influenced by economic, social, and lifestyle factors of the younger generation.
