Abstract

This classroom action research aims to enhance the character of discipline and responsibility among children aged 5–6 years through the implementation of a Morning Routine Chart at TK Negeri 1 Atap Lawelu. The study employed the Kemmis and McTaggart model and was conducted over three cycles involving 30 children in group B (16 boys and 14 girls). Data were collected through systematic observation and documentation. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in both discipline and responsibility across the cycles, particularly in children’s ability to follow structured morning routines, comply with classroom expectations, and complete tasks independently. These findings indicate that the Morning Routine Chart is an effective pedagogical tool for fostering character development in early childhood education settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of employee engagement, career development, and teamwork on employee performance at Dr. Djasamen SaragihRegional General Hospital in Pematangsiantar City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this study was all employees of Dr. Djasamen Saragih Regional General Hospital in Pematangsiantar City, with a sample size of 76 respondents determined using the census technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results showed that, partially, employee engagement had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as evidenced by a t-value of 2.842 and a significance of 0.006. The career development variable had a positive and significant effect and was the most dominant variable with a t-value of 7.003 and a significance of 0.000. Furthermore, teamwork also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t-value of 5.076 and a significance level of 0.000. Simultaneously, employee engagement, career development, and teamwork have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as evidenced by an F value of 106.287 with a significance level of 0.000. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.779 indicates that 77.9% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by these three variables. The results of this study are expected to be taken into consideration by hospital management in improving employee performance through strengthening work engagement, career development, and teamwork.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low level of self-confidence among children aged 4–5 years at TK Ade Irma Suryani School. This is caused by their lack of courage to interact with classmates and their low level of participation during learning activities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the development of self-confidence character in children aged 4–5 years through the role-playing method at TK Ade Irma Suryani School. The research method used is qualitative, employing a descriptive qualitative approach as a procedure or method to solve the research problem. Based on the results of the study, the implementation of the role-playing method had a positive effect on developing self-confidence in children aged 4–5 years at TK Ade Irma Suryani School. The children showed behavioral changes such as being more confident in speaking, answering teachers’ questions, and being able to play roles according to the characters assigned. Therefore, it can be concluded that role-playing activities can effectively enhance the self-confidence character of children aged 4–5 years at TK Ade Irma Suryani School.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload, work stress, and work conflict on employee performance at the Class IIB Correctional Institution in Tebing Tinggi City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The population in this study consisted of all 50 employees working as prison guards, who were also used as research samples using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program. The results showed that, partially, workload had a significant effect on employee performance, as evidenced by a t-value of 3.323 and a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05. Workstress also had a significant effect on employee performance with a t value of 3.541 and a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. In addition, work conflict had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t-value of 4.404 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The simultaneous test results show that workload, work stress, and work conflict together have a significant effect on employee performance with a calculated F value of 48.544 and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) value of 0.744 indicates that 74.4% of employee performance is influenced by these three variables, while the rest is influenced by other variables outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of Capital Structure, Firm Size, and Institutional Ownership on Financial Performance in Consumer Non Cyclicals Sector Companies, specifically the Food and Beverage Sub-Sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the Period 2021-2024. The independent variables in this study are Capital Structure measured by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Firm Size measured by Natural Logarithm of Total Assets, and Institutional Ownership (IO), while the dependent variable is financial performance measured using Return on Assets (ROA). This study employs a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis method. The sample in this study was obtained using purposive sampling method. The data used are secondary data obtained from financial statements of companies listed on the IDX. Based on the established criteria and data processing, 42 companies were determined as the research sample. The results of this study indicate that partially Capital Structure has a significant negative effect on Financial Performance, while Firm Size has a negative and insignificant effect on financial performance. Institutional Ownership has a positive and significant effect on Financial Performance. Simultaneously, Capital Structure, Firm Size, and Institutional Ownership have a significant effect on Financial Performance.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence of firm size in mediating the effect of capital structure, profitability, and dividend policy on firm value. The sampling method used purposive sampling from industrials sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022-2024 period. A total of 42 companies met the criteria. The analysis software used is WarpPLS 8.0. The results show that capital structure has a positive and significant effect on firm value. Profitability and dividend policy have a positive but not significant effect on firm value. Capital structure and dividend policy have a positive and significant effect on firm size, while profitability has a negative and insignificant effect on firm size. Firm size has a positive and significant effect on firm value. The test results prove that firm size is able to partially mediate the effect of capital structure on firm value, and fully mediate the effect of profitability and dividend policy on firm value.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that the listening and memory abilities of early childhood students are still relatively low. This is caused by the learning activities conducted by teachers, which still rely on manual teaching materials, picture books, and storytelling. In addition, educational and interactive learning methods have not yet been applied, causing children to become bored and less focused on the learning material. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement in learning at TK Ade Irma Suryani School through the use of audio (sound) and visual (image) media. The method used in this study is classroom action research (CAR), which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 15 children from TK Ade Irma Suryani School. Observation sheets were used to collect the necessary data. The results of this study show that the use of audio-visual media in early childhood learning can improve listening and memory skills, especially at TK Ade Irma Suryani School. Through the use of audio-visual media, children became more focused and active during learning activities. Moreover, they were more motivated and enthusiastic in participating in the lessons. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of audio-visual media is more effective in enhancing the listening and memory skills of early childhood students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the simultaneous effect of Service Quality, Price, and Promotion on Customer Satisfaction among GrabFood users who are students of the Management Study Program, Class of 2022–2023, at the Indonesian Methodist University. The research methodology used in this study is a quantitative descriptive research method. The sample in this study consisted of 227 respondents. Based on the results of the t-test hypothesis, it can be concluded that service quality partially has a positive and significant effect on user satisfaction, price partially has a positive and significant effect on user satisfaction, and promotion partially has a positive and significant effect on user satisfaction. Based on the results of the F hypothesis test, it can be concluded that service quality, price, and promotion simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Based on the analysis of the coefficient of determination, an Adjusted R Square value of 0.608 was obtained. This means that 60.8% of the variation in customer satisfaction can be explained by service quality, price, and promotion, while the remaining 39.2% is influenced by other factors outside this study.

Abstract

Independence is one of the important aspects in the social and emotional development of early childhood, which needs to be instilled from an early age so that children have the ability to take care of themselves, be responsible, and be able to make simple decisions. This study aims to describe in depth the efforts of teachers in training the independence of early childhood at Ade Irma Suryani, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research subjects consisted of three classroom teachers, one principal, and six early childhood children as supporting informants. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results of the study indicate that teachers at Ade Irma Surya School foster children's independence through various strategic efforts, including providing routine habits, giving simple responsibilities, and providing motivation and positive praise for every effort made by the children. Teachers also use play-based learning methods, role modeling, and provide opportunities for children to choose and decide on simple matters related to daily activities. Supporting factors in fostering children's independence include parental support at home, a conducive and child-friendly school environment, high child motivation, and the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include overprotective parenting, differences in children's levels of independence, and limited learning time at school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika burnout akademik pada mahasiswa yang bekerja paruh waktu dengan menyoroti konflik peran dan regulasi diri dalam pengalaman akademik mahasiswa. Mahasiswa yang menjalani peran ganda sebagai pelajar dan pekerja berpotensi mengalami tekanan psikologis akibat tuntutan akademik dan pekerjaan yang berlangsung secara bersamaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis fenomenologi untuk memahami pengalaman subjektif mahasiswa dalam menghadapi tekanan peran ganda tersebut. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah enam mahasiswa aktif Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam UIN Palangka Raya yang bekerja paruh waktu dan dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik fenomenologis melalui proses pengkodean, pengelompokan tema, dan interpretasi makna pengalaman partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konflik peran antara tuntutan kuliah dan pekerjaan memicu munculnya kelelahan fisik dan emosional, penurunan motivasi belajar, serta kesulitan dalam mengatur waktu. Benturan jadwal antara aktivitas akademik dan pekerjaan menjadi salah satu pemicu utama munculnya tekanan psikologis pada mahasiswa pekerja. Namun demikian, mahasiswa juga menunjukkan berbagai strategi regulasi diri, seperti pengelolaan waktu, aktivitas coping emosional, serta pemanfaatan dukungan sosial dari keluarga dan teman untuk mempertahankan keseimbangan antara tuntutan akademik dan pekerjaan.
