Abstract

This article aims to describe innovative approaches in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning to achieve the goals of national education, particularly in fostering piety and noble character among elementary school students at SD Negeri 9 Tanjung Gadang, Sijunjung Regency. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a reflective practice design based on the elementary school context. Data were collected through classroom observations, teachers’ reflective pedagogical practices, and documentation studies, and were analyzed using a descriptive-thematic technique. The findings reveal that innovation in IPAS learning can be implemented through the integration of Qur’anic verses related to natural phenomena, gratitude-based learning approaches, the habituation of scientific ethics, the use of Muslim scientists’ biographies as moral exemplars, and the application of science-and-character-based assessment. These innovations enable IPAS learning to function not only as a medium for scientific knowledge acquisition but also as a means of internalizing spiritual values and developing students’ moral character. Therefore, innovative and contextual IPAS learning contributes significantly to the holistic achievement of national education goals at the elementary education level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of learning innovations in fostering students’ noble character at the elementary school level. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research was conducted at UPT SDN 04 Lunang with participants consisting of classroom teachers and students directly involved in character-based learning practices. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using interactive data analysis techniques. The findings indicate that learning innovations are implemented through the integration of moral values into thematic learning, reflective learning activities, experiential learning based on the surrounding environment, habituation of learning ethics, the use of exemplary stories, character-based assessment, and the strengthening of school culture. These innovations contribute to the development of students’ moral awareness, responsibility, discipline, and social attitudes. The study concludes that contextual and holistic learning innovations play a strategic role in achieving national education goals by balancing cognitive development with character formation at the elementary education level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of humanistic learning theory principles in an elementary school setting, focusing on UPT SDN 14 Lunang. A qualitative approach with a descriptive–interpretative design was employed to explore teachers’ psychological processes in implementing humanistic learning. The participants were classroom teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observations, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that the application of humanistic learning theory at UPT SDN 14 Lunang is reflected in the implementation of confluent education, open education, cooperative learning, and social-based learning, which contribute to creating a psychologically safe learning environment, fostering students’ emotional engagement, and strengthening social interactions. These results suggest that humanistic learning theory can be effectively actualized in elementary schools as a psychological educational approach that supports meaningful learning and holistic student development.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students’ talents and examine their roles in the learning process, as well as to analyze teachers’ roles in developing students’ talents at the elementary school level. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive-interpretative design and was conducted at SDN 12 Pinang Awan Solok Selatan Regency. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed thematically using an interactive analysis model. The findings reveal that students possess diverse talents, including academic, artistic, athletic, and social talents, which function as psychological capital that enhances motivation, learning engagement, self-confidence, and meaningful learning experiences. The study also shows that teachers play a vital mediating role in recognizing and facilitating students’ talents, although such practices have not yet been systematically integrated into differentiated instructional strategies. These findings suggest that talent-sensitive learning practices are essential for fostering holistic student development and for strengthening psychologically supportive learning environments in elementary education.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed the educational landscape and reshaped the roles and competencies required of teachers. Beyond pedagogical and technological skills, teachers are increasingly demanded to possess strong soft skills to effectively manage learning processes in digital environments. This study aims to analyze and synthesize research findings related to teachers’ soft skill competencies in the era of digital education. The research employed a literature review method by examining relevant national and international journal articles, books, and conference proceedings published within the last decade. Data were collected through systematic searches in academic databases and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate that essential soft skills for teachers in digital education include communication skills, adaptability, collaboration, creativity, emotional intelligence, digital ethics, and lifelong learning attitudes. These competencies play a crucial role in fostering meaningful interactions, managing virtual classrooms, and supporting students’ academic and socio-emotional development. The study concludes that strengthening teachers’ soft skills is a strategic necessity to enhance the quality of digital learning and recommends continuous professional development programs that integrate soft skill training with digital pedagogy.

Abstract

Educational policies at the elementary level play a strategic role in shaping the quality, equity, and effectiveness of basic education. However, the implementation of these policies in schools often faces various challenges. This study aims to analyze elementary education policies and identify the main challenges in their implementation at the school level through a literature review. The research employed a literature study method by reviewing national and international journal articles, policy documents, and academic books related to basic education policy and school management. Data were collected through systematic searches of academic databases and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results reveal that major challenges in implementing basic education policies include limited school resources, disparities in infrastructure, teachers’ readiness, leadership capacity of school principals, bureaucratic complexity, and gaps between policy design and school contexts. Despite well-formulated policies, implementation effectiveness largely depends on coordination among stakeholders, school management capacity, and contextual adaptability. This study concludes that strengthening institutional capacity, improving policy coherence, and enhancing support systems for schools are essential to address implementation challenges and ensure the successful realization of basic education policy goals.

Abstract

The school environment plays a crucial role in supporting the growth and development of elementary school-aged children. Children at this stage experience rapid physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development that requires a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment. This study aims to analyze the role of the school environment in supporting the growth and development of elementary school children through a literature review. The research employed a literature study method by reviewing relevant national and international journal articles, books, and scientific publications related to school environment and child development. Data were collected through systematic searches of academic databases and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate that the school environment—including physical environment, social environment, and learning climate—significantly influences children’s physical growth, motor development, cognitive abilities, social skills, and emotional well-being. A safe, inclusive, and child-friendly school environment fosters optimal development and enhances students’ learning motivation and well-being. This study concludes that creating a supportive school environment is essential for optimizing the holistic growth and development of elementary school children and recommends strengthening school policies oriented toward child-friendly and developmentally appropriate educational practices.

Abstract

Prophethood and revelation are central concepts in Islamic theology that form the foundation for the legitimacy of Islamic teachings and laws. Through prophethood, Allah SWT conveys His divine guidance to humanity by means of revelation. This article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of prophethood and revelation from an Islamic perspective, as well as to explain their relevance to Muslim life in the modern era. This study employs library research with a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings indicate that prophethood is a form of divine selection intended to guide humanity toward monotheism (tawhid) and moral conduct, while revelation functions as an authoritative medium for transmitting divine teachings that are preserved in their authenticity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by not maximal enhancement of the ability of learning outcomes concept understanding and solving problems in material recycling water using problem based learning model. Through this research studied solutions to solve these problems, by performing learning using a blended model of Problem Based Learning. The shape Blended conducted among which are: the provision of stimulus in the form of audiovisual media before and when learning, students are given assignments in connection with the matter further, so that students read many books about the matter further and ready to learn, provide encouragement and approaches for learning, and improve the effectiveness of learning time. The purpose of this study is to provide solutions to improve understanding of concepts and problem solving in science subjects in grade V. The experiment was conducted in SDN Tanjung III Subang using a quasy-experimental methods. For the experimental group performed several Blended allegedly able to complete lack of problem based learning model, while for the control class performed the usual problem based learning model. The instrument used to conduct research that is: test the ability of understanding the concept and problem solving as well as observation sheets teacher activity and student responses. The results showed differences in the ability of understanding the concept and problem solving significant between experimental class and control class, n-gain Blended problem based learning model is better than usual, and there is increased activity of teachers and students' responses to learning.

Abstract

Era digitalisasi atau internet seperti saat ini kita perlu waspada terhadap segala informasi yang masuk karena dapat memengaruhi perkembangan anak. Salah satu perkembangan siswa yang perlu kita optimalkan adalah perkembangan bahasa. Bahasa merupakan salah satu pemersatu bangsa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dampak internet terhadap perkembangan Bahasa siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah sembilan orang siswa SD kelas III pada salah satu SD di Jawa Barat Tahun Akademik 2019/2020. Instrumen penelitiannya berupa lembar observasi dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan statistik deskriftif. Hasil penelitian meunjukan bahwa internet memberikan dampak cukup sebesar terhadap perkembangan bahasa siswa SD kelas III. Namun perlu dilakukan analisis lebih dalam lagi apakah internet memberikan pengaruh positif atau negatif terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak.
