Abstract

This paper is a narrative review exploring how an understanding of how brain function underlying leadership behaviour and decision making -neuroleadership- can be utilised to address unethical behaviour, including nepotism, corruption and fraud, in the South African public sector, aggravated by various circumstances, one of which is historical trauma from the apartheid era. Notwithstanding countless legislative efforts to curb unethical practices, South Africa continues to experience widespread corruption in its public sector, particularly within municipalities. We suggest unresolved historical trauma as further fuelling unethical practices among leaders who feel disadvantaged by previous political systems. This paper investigates how neuroleadership principles, including self-awareness, emotional regulation and social cognition have the potential to address these behaviours. The findings are that neuroleadership offers a novel strategy for studying and teaching ethical leadership in the South African public sector by enhancing among others, emotional regulation and bias awareness, with the potential to address the severe challenges municipalities face, such as financial mismanagement, and procurement irregularities. Integrating neuroleadership into ethics training programs for public officials is recommended to promote emotional intelligence and cognitive flexibility, while addressing underlying historical traumas is suggested to help mitigate unethical behaviour and foster more inclusive leadership practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of trust, convenience, and service quality on purchasing decisions in Tokopedia, especially among students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Prima Indonesia. The background of this study is the rapid development of e-commerce in Indonesia, which requires an in-depth understanding of the factors that influence consumer behavior, especially the younger generation. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey, involving 100 student respondents selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results showed that the variables ease and quality of Service have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Meanwhile, Trust did not show a partially significant effect. However, simultaneously, all three variables have a significant influence on the purchase decision. The contribution of the three variables to the purchase decision reached 82.92%, while 17.08% were influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings emphasize the importance of ease and quality of service in improving student purchasing decisions at Tokopedia.

Abstract

This study highlights the misalignment between the competencies of Mandarin language instructors and the demands of the creative economy and tourism sectors in Indonesia. The main objective is to identify the developmental needs of human resources in Mandarin instruction and to formulate a training model relevant to industry requirements. The method used is a library research approach with descriptive-qualitative analysis, utilizing sources such as books, academic journals, and research reports. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to examine the required competencies in the field. The findings reveal that the integration of linguistic proficiency, intercultural communication, and technological teaching skills is an urgent need that is currently not well accommodated in existing training programs.

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the Influence of Training and Workload on the Performance of Pramusapa Employees at PT Transjakarta. To analyze the influence between independent variables and dependent variables. With the independent variables being Training and Workload, while the dependent variable is Employee Performance, using a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out using random sampling techniques. From a total population of 1,554 Pramusapa, a sample of 85 was taken using the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 10%. Data distribution using a questionnaire via Google Form and data testing was carried out using SmartPLS version 4.1. The results of the R Square value is 0.674, which means that the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable is 67.4% and the remaining 32.6% is influenced by other variables outside the model studied by the author. The results of this study state that: (1) Training and Workload have an effect on Employee Performance; (2) Training has an effect on Employee Performance; (3) Workload has an effect on Employee Performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Price Book To Value, Earning Per Share Dan Debt Equity Ratio Terhadap Harga Saham Perusahaan Property, Real Estate Dan Konstruksi Bangunan Yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2018-2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sumber data sekunder yang diperolah dari laporan keuangan perusahaan yang diterbitkan di www.idx.co.id. Teknik pengabilan sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunkan teknik purposive sampling, dengan jumlah objek 10 perusahaan dengan data selama 4 tahun sehingga memiliki jumlah sampel 40 data. Analisis yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini meliputi analisis statistik deskriptif, uji kualitas data (uji validitas dan reliabilitas), uji asumsi klasik (uji normalitas, multikolinearitas, dan heteroskedastisitas), analisis regresi linear berganda dan pengujian hipotesis dengan uji t serta uji koefisien determinasi (R²). Software yang digunakan untuk melakukan penelitian ini adalah SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Price Book To Value, Earning Per Share, Debt Equity Ratio memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan Property, Konstruksi dan Real Estate yang terdaftar di BEI.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada lingkungan kerja dan kepuasan kerja terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan pada PT. Gold Coin Indonesia Kim II Mabar. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 181 karyawan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan adalah Random Sampling atau juga disebut Sampling Sensus. Yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel yang memberikan kesempatan yang sama kepada setiap anggota yang ada didalam satu populasi untuk dijadikan sampel Analisis data menggunakan uji Regresi Linier Berganda, pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji koefesien determinasi (R2), Uji Parsial (Uji t), Uji Simultan (Uji f), sedangkan pengolahan data menggunakan SPSS 28. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari uji koefesien determinasi (R2) variabel lingkungan kerja dan kepuasan kerja mampu menjelaskan keberadannya terhadap variabel produktivitas kerja karyawan, selain itu secara parsial lingkungan kerja tidak berpengaruh dan tidak signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan, sementara kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan, dan secara simultan lingkungan kerja dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan.

Abstract

SUD Dr. Hadrianus Sinaga is a hospital that contributes to improving service and service quality in the Samosir Regency area with a population of 126,188 people. This research is quantitative research with a causal associative method, a sample of 75 people who are from RSUD Dr. Hadrianus Sinaga Panguruan in Samosir Regency. The results of this study simultaneously indicate that there is an influence of leadership style and job satisfaction on employee performance at RSUD Dr. Hadrianus Sinaga. Partially, the leadership style that is proxied by transformational leadership, transactional leadership, and Laisses Faire leadership can have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Dr. Hadrianus Sinaga Hospital. Whereas job satisfaction stated the results partially had a negative and significant effect on employee performance at RSUD Dr. Hadrianus Sinaga.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana Pengaruh Kompetensi dan Kepuasan Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai di Dinas Perkebunan Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Utara baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai serta kompetensi dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Dinas Perkebunan Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Populasi dalam penelitian berjumlah 112 orang dan yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 53 orang. Teknik penarikan sampel yang digunakan adalah random sampling. Sumber data penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang dicatat langsung oleh peneliti melalui hasil kuisioner dan wawancara mengenai masalah-masalah menyangkut kompetensi dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Dinas Perkebunan Pemerinah Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, kompetensi dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Dinas Perkebunan Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the social media marketing Instagram, whatshapp, and the Web on purchasing decisions. This research is quantitative in nature with the amount of data collected as many as 100 respondents. The research method used is data using multiple linear regression analysis, namely by collecting data from data sources, namely primary data, namely questionnaires and secondary data, this is to determine the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results of the analysis prove that there is a positive and significant influence of Instagram, Whatsapp and Web social media marketing both partially and simultaneously on purchasing decisions at Swasana by Temata Restaurant. Among the three social media that most dominantly influence purchasing decisions is the Web social media.

Abstract

This research focuses on the satisfaction of healthcare providers as experienced directly by patients. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation of patients/families, as well as the leadership and staff at Talaga Bodas Community Health Center. The study found that the reliability aspect of the services provided at Talaga Bodas Community Health Center is characterized by a high level of discipline and reliability, as perceived by patients. The responsiveness aspect of the services provided at Talaga Bodas Community Health Center is highly responsive to patients, especially in emergency cases or when patients require immediate assistance. The assurance aspect of the services provided at Talaga Bodas Community Health Center is characterized by friendly, polite, and respectful behavior of the staff towards patients, creating a sense of comfort. The empathy aspect of the services provided at Talaga Bodas Community Health Center is demonstrated by healthcare providers showing a high level of empathy and concern. The tangible aspect of the services provided at Talaga Bodas Community Health Center is reflected in the good facilities and infrastructure available. Overall, patients express satisfaction with the services provided at Talaga Bodas Community Health Center.
