Abstract

MSME GDR peanuts are one of the MSMEs in Tanah Datar, West Sumatra. The surge in production and product demand in the market has created challenges for these MSMEs, and they are experiencing difficulties in determining the amount of raw material supply or inventory needed. This research aims to calculate the inventory of GDR Nuts, determine what factors influence inventory planning in GDR Nut MSMEs, and calculate the amount of safety stock and ROP. The method used to overcome this problem is the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method to determine economic purchases for Nut MSMEs. The data processing and analysis results show that the ordering of raw material supplies in GDR MSMEs was 1.6 times with order results of 92,156 kg using the EOQ method. The leading cause of this inventory problem is the need for more implementation of effective operational management and inaccuracies in inventory calculations. As a result, there is often a need for more raw materials. To overcome this, GDR MSMEs have a safety stock of 977.3 kg and a reorder point of 13,153 times.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether inventory control of foot step raw materials with the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method is more efficient than the conventional method used by CV Anugerah Teknik. This research involves the calculation and comparison of the amount and frequency of ordering foot step raw materials. Data was collected through field and literature studies. The results showed that the frequency of ordering with the conventional method was 6 times with an average of 2,100 kg per order, while the EOQ method suggested 3 times with an average of 1,698 kg per order. CV Anugerah Teknik has not determined the safety stock, while the EOQ method recommends 514 kg. The reorder point applied by CV Anugerah Teknik is 2,000 kg, while the EOQ method recommends 2,032 kg. In 2022, the total cost of inventory with the EOQ method is lower at Rp 1,518,484,129 compared to the conventional method of Rp 1,760,469,931. In conclusion, inventory control of foot step raw materials is more optimal with the EOQ method than the conventional method applied by CV Anugerah Teknik.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the reliability of PT. XYZ Surabaya's rental fleet, which experienced numerous incidents of damage to Avanza units from 2019 to 2023. The Westinghouse analysis method was employed to determine repair intervals and calculate the Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) for component replacements. The findings revealed that the oil filter and clutch assy components were the most frequently damaged. The oil filter requires replacement every 1460 hours (60 days) with a reliability of 52.31%, while the clutch assy needs replacement every 3429 hours (142 days) with a reliability of 46.78%. The performance of mechanics in replacing these components was also analyzed to improve efficiency. This study assists PT. XYZ in minimizing downtime, extending component lifespan, and enhancing operational efficiency, ultimately contributing to customer satisfaction and the sustainability of the vehicle rental business.

Abstract

PT XYZ, a state-owned port services company, faces significant occupational health and safety risks, particularly for loading and unloading workers (TKBM), who often lack discipline in using personal protective equipment (PPE). This study aimed to assess TKBM workers' behavior regarding PPE usage. Utilizing a cross-sectional observational approach, the research surveyed 71 out of 249 TKBM workers. The findings indicate that most workers exhibit good PPE usage behavior. Despite this positive outcome, the research suggests enhancing PPE use through targeted training and briefings. Continuing efforts to bolster worker safety and PPE awareness are crucial for maintaining and improving safety standards in PT XYZ's loading and unloading work environments focusing on worker protection through the behavior of using PPE.

Abstract

Tutoring institutions for elementary school levels have been proliferating in Pekalongan City due to the large number of elementary school students, totaling 18,356 students spread across 103 schools. Finding the right tutoring center that meets specific needs can sometimes be challenging. This study aims to assist with this by developing a decision support system. Using the Promethee method, which offers a more detailed evaluation of multiple criteria, the system is expected to provide a suitable decision support solution. This research produces a web-based decision support system that parents can use to find a tutoring center that meets their desired criteria.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze employee performance measurements at the Pasuruan Timber and Wood Products UPTI using the Human Resource Scorecard (HRSC) method. The HRSC method is used as a holistic approach in evaluating employee performance by paying attention to financial aspects, customers, internal processes, as well as growth and learning. This research explores data through in-depth interviews and direct observation of HR management practices at UPTI. Data analysis was carried out to identify the main factors that influence employee performance in the organization using guidelines and metrics provided by HRSC. It is hoped that the research results can provide in-depth insight for the management of Pasuruan Wood and Wood Products UPTI in improving employee performance, identifying areas that need improvement, and increasing overall effectiveness. It is hoped that the findings from this research can become the basis for developing more effective human resource management strategies and can better support the achievement of organizational goals.

Abstract

In managing the supply of wood raw materials at CV. Jati Sari is still carried out based on the personal experience of business entity owners. Because it is based on personal experience without carrying out in-depth analysis or forecasting, it will create a risk of excess or shortage of stock, making stock management inefficient. The software development method used is the Waterfall method. Double Exponential Smoothing is implemented in this research as a forecasting prediction calculation method. This research produces a prediction system that can produce output in the form of a predicted amount of wood needed as inventory or stock in the warehouse in cubic meters. For manual calculations, the DES method has a prediction calculation result for the 21st period of 4.8 m3. Based on the system testing using black box and white box testing that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the prediction system for procurement of wood raw material stock using the website-based Double Exponential Smoothing method has succeeded well in solving the problem of predicting the amount of wood raw material stock for the next period at CV. Jati Sari.

Abstract

Packaging X is a folding carton packaging that has many product defects that do not meet predetermined standards, with an average defect of 19.40% during the period March 2023 to February 2024, exceeding the company's tolerance target of 3%. This study aims to identify the types of defects and the factors that cause them, as well as to provide suggestions for improvements related to the problem of product defects. The method used in this research is the Fault Tree Analysis method with pareto diagram analysis. The results showed six types of defects in X packaging, including light color (6.7%), flooding (17.2%), bulky color (5.8%), glue bleber (55%), wrinkle (8.6%), and powder (6.7%). Based on the fault tree diagram, there are 5 (five) top events, namely humans, machines, materials, methods, and the environment. The proposed improvements are creating new work standards, modifying packaging design, improving supervision, asking maintenance to monitor machine conditions, repairing blisters and preparing spare parts stock, wrapping paper with wrap, improving machine stability control, and scheduling machine area cleaning.

Abstract

Transportation plays an important role in the economic and social development of a country, especially in the era of globalization. Especially public transportation, public transportation serves to connect rural areas with urban centers, plays an important role in maintaining community mobility and supporting economic development, especially bus transportation. The technical inspection process or rampchcek on buses at the terminal is a critical step in ensuring transportation safety and security. This study discusses the stages of rampchcek and the criteria used in vehicle testing at Purabaya Terminal. The problems to be discussed in this study are: (1) What is the priority order of criteria in determining the roadworthiness of bus transportation? (2) Which bus transportation should be declared roadworthy by the Purabaya Terminal rampcheck officer? (3) How does the rampcheck inspection process compare between manual checklists and automatic checklists on bus transportation at Purabaya Terminal? This study uses the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method as an approach to improve the rampcheck decision-making process. From the results of the assessment of the level of importance of criteria in determining the roadworthiness of bus transportation produces a priority scale or weight as follows: priority I administrative elements (0.54), priority II main technical elements (0.39), and priority III supporting technical elements (0.07). from the results of the assessment of the level of importance of alternatives in determining the roadworthiness of bus transportation produces a priority scale or weight as follows: priority I bus jaya utama indo (2.12), priority II bus eka (0.64), and priority III bus sugeng rahayu (0.24). based on the results of the calculation of the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method in determining the roadworthiness of bus transportation. Jaya Utama Indo is considered the best bus transportation. Furthermore, Eka as the second bus transportation. And Sugeng Rahayu as the third bus transportation.

Abstract

This study focuses on 1) Calculating the efficiency of the absorber in the Chemical making-2 Unit (CM11); 2) Finding out the factors affecting the efficiency of the absorber in Chemical making-2 (CM11). The adsorption study used a batch system. Based on observations that have been made regarding the Absorber Efficiency in the Chemical Making-2 Unit (CM 11) in the ClO2 processing at PT Indah Kiat pulp & paper Tbk. Perawang, it can be concluded that: 1) Absorption is a separation process by contacting a mixture of gas with an absorption liquid which aims to remove one of the gas components. Which here uses chilled water to absorb ClO2, the absorber used is a tray type. 2) The Absorber Efficiency obtained is 99.5%. 3) What affects the performance of the absorber in CM-11 is the placement of the Tray used and the age of the equipment used which affects the concentration of the product obtained. The concentration obtained is 9.5 gpl, this figure is categorized as meeting the standard because the ClO2 standard used by PT. IKPP Tbk. The clairvoyant is in the range of 9.5-10 gpl.
