Abstract

CV Anugerah Teknik is a company engaged in motorcycle components and accessories. Product development and certification can affect the workload of production operators. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the mental workload of production operators. Data was collected through interviews and distributing questionnaires to production operators. This research uses the NASA-TLX method. The results of the analysis show that the average value of mental workload of production operators is 72.13, which falls into the high category. To reduce the workload, it is recommended to increase the number of operators in the production division, which can lower the score to 49.18.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate passenger satisfaction with the use of Face Recognition technology in the boarding pass system at Madiun Station. This technology was adopted to improve the efficiency of the boarding process and reduce queues, but it still creates different perceptions among users regarding its convenience. The study used the SERVQUAL method to measure service quality with five main dimensions: Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. Data was collected through questionnaires to 100 respondents, long-distance train users who boarded from Madiun Station. The results showed a gap between user expectations and system performance, especially in the Tangibles and Reliability dimensions. This study recommends improvements in the operation of Face Recognition technology and increased socialization to passengers to better understand and accept this system.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a medical device manufacturing company that produces components for syringes, one of which is the Barrel product. The Barrel product has high demand, so effective quality control is essential to reduce the defect rate. This study aims to analyze ways to reduce defects in the Barrel product using the Kaizen and Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) methods. In the planning phase (Plan), the dominant types of defects were identified using a Pareto diagram, which revealed three main defect types, with shortmold as the primary focus. The causes of this defect were analyzed using a Fishbone diagram. In the Do phase, corrective actions were implemented by setting objectives and goals for improvement, as well as identifying defective products with the help of the 5W+1H tool. The Check phase involved further inspection using a Check Sheet to analyze data showing a reduction in defects between October 2023 and January 2024. In the Action phase, quality control was implemented by monitoring employee performance and product quality, as well as evaluating the results of the improvements. The results of the study indicate a significant reduction in the number of defective products following the implementation of corrective actions.

Abstract

This study examines the participatory communication between the village government and the Akit Tribe community in managing mangrove forests in Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency. The research focuses on the role of dialogue, voice empowerment, and emancipatory education in encouraging community participation. Prior research emphasizes that active community involvement in natural resource management is crucial for environmental sustainability. This study aims to analyze how dialogue, voice empowerment, and emancipatory education are applied by the Akit Tribe in managing mangrove forests. A qualitative approach with a case study design was used, collecting data through observation and in-depth interviews. The findings show that the dialogue process has been effective, though communication barriers persist. The indigenous community also utilizes media for information sharing and community activities, while emancipatory education plays a key role in empowering the Akit Tribe in managing mangrove forests.

Abstract

The quality of a product produced is a top priority for the company. The need for the use of chemicals for product quality in the company must also be taken into account so that it can be used efficiently, therefore in planning raw material requirements, a forecasting analysis of the needs of these secondary raw materials can be carried out. Based on the planning of the need for the use of these chemicals, the author conducted a study discussing the Forecasting of Aluminum Sulfate Al2(SO4)3 Needs in the company to improve production quality using the single moving average method. The study used qualitative and quantitative research methods, the study was aimed at seeing the application of the use of forecasting methods in companies and as a reference for learning the application of these methods for students. The author uses historical data on the use of Alum or Aluminum Sulfate in 2022 to May 2023 at one of the water treatment installations as a water purifier, with a movement value of n = 5,6,7,8,9. The results of the forecasting calculation obtained the lowest error rate in MSE and MAPE, namely at movement 5.

Abstract

This study evaluates the employee performance of PT. Omega Mas using the AHP method and rating scale. Conducted from December 2023 to February 2024, it involved 133 employees from 14 departments. The criteria included maturity, work attitude, teamwork, discipline, and work results. The results showed that "work results" had the highest weight (0.51), with "quantitative work" as the primary sub-criterion. From the performance assessment, 6 employees were categorized as "very good," 47 as "good," and 80 as "sufficient." The conclusion is that this evaluation helps the company improve its human resources quality and competitiveness in the market.

Abstract

This study is centered on calculating the productivity of the SKM (rolled kretek cigarette) production floor work station of PT. Nikorama Citra Tobacco from 22 January 2024 to 29 February 2024 which aims to measure the level of productivity in the cigarette production process on the SKM production floor, identify key elements that have the greatest impact on the level of productivity achieved, and propose or recommend improvement steps to increase productivity in the production process on the SKM production floor. This research utilizes the objective matrix method (OMAX) by measuring two elements of productivity, namely the element of efficiency and the element of effectiveness. From these two elements of productivity, six measurement ratios are obtained, labor ratio, production output ratio, working hours ratio, defective product ratio, production time ratio. , engine ratio. The results of this research show that the productivity results of the SKM production floor fluctuate up and down due to the instability of the productivity ratio performance value where the highest productivity occurs on February 22 2024 and the worst productivity on January 22 2024, while the best ratio value occurs in the yield ratio. production and worst ratio values ??on machine ratios. The worst ratio value occurs in the machine ratio so improvements need to be made so that the productivity value can be more optimal.

Abstract

Cement is one of the main materials in mortar that has a negative impact due to its manufacture. Various new studies and innovations continue to be carried out to increase the utility value of waste and reduce the negative impacts of cement manufacture. One of the innovations is the use of rice husk ash as a substitute for cement in making mortar. It is known that rice husk ash has a high silica content where the content is the same as the content of cement. The duration of good burning of rice husk ash is 6 hours with normal burning. The percentage of rice husk ash used in the study was 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% of the weight of cement. The test results showed that 10% rice husk ash with a burning duration of 6 hours used as a mortar mixture had the highest compressive strength value of 32.04 MPa.

Abstract

This study was conducted to make blockboard using oil palm trunk waste as raw material. The purpose of this study was to determine the physical and mechanical properties of blockboard made from oil palm trunk raw materials and compared with the physical and mechanical properties of blockboard available on the market. The mechanical properties tested were tensile strength, flexural strength and air absorption. The oil palm trunk used was waste from rejuvenation that was 25-30 years old. The results showed that blockboard made from oil palm trunk waste had higher tensile strength and flexural strength values ??than market blockboard. Meanwhile, the water absorption capacity of market blockboard is better than the water absorption capacity of blockboard made from oil palm trunk waste. This study was conducted to implement one of the government policies in the context of utilizing oil palm waste, especially oil palm trunk waste as an effort to preserve the environment.

Abstract

The construction of road pavements at level crossings typically employs flexible asphalt pavements, which are prone to peeling and damage. It has been stated that the pavement structure at at-grade crossings between roads and railway tracks should differ from the pavement structure in sections approaching the crossing. The pavement structure at at-grade crossings is recommended to have greater strength than the pavement structure on existing road sections, such as the use of rigid concrete pavements (Prasarana, 2004). In this research, the road pavement at the JPL 136 at-grade crossing in Madiun City is planned to use rigid cement concrete pavement, with the construction calculation using the cement concrete pavement planning method (Ministry of Public Works and Housing, 2003). After analysis, a rigid cement concrete pavement construction with a thickness of 150 mm, a compressive strength of 35 MPa, longitudinal reinforcement D16-170, and transverse reinforcement D12-100 with BJTS 420 A type was obtained.
