Abstract

PT. Uniteda Arkato is a company that operates in the heavy equipment and contractor rental sector. The problem of suboptimal unit performance occurred in one of the company's excavators, the Komatsu PC 300 Bucket Excavator. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using excavators and minimize losses. The methods used are Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Six Big Losses. The research results show that the OEE value is still below standard, 77% with an Availability value of 88%, Performance Efficiency of 93%, and Quality of 94%. Furthermore, based on the Six Big Losses analysis, the biggest loss occurred due to the Reduce Speed ??Losses factor, 34% caused by large downtime. Improvement recommendations are proposed to increase unit effectiveness, such as establishing a maintenance schedule, checking and replacing components, and operator training. It is hoped that this research can contribute to increasing the effectiveness of unit use and company productivity.

Abstract

The need for comfort and convenience in everyday life is increasing along with the times. In the transportation sector, especially railways, facial recognition technology has brought significant changes. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) has implemented a face recognition-based boarding pass system at 11 stations. With the implementation of this technology, PT KAI strives to provide better service to passengers and meet the needs of increasingly advanced technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the boarding process at train stations. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation of face recognition boarding passes at Yogyakarta Station and Solo Balapan Station. The method used in this study is effectiveness analysis by Ndraha and efficiency analysis with Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The results of the study for effectiveness explain that Yogyakarta Station and Solo Balapan Station average 86.34% for Yogyakarta Station and 86.37% for Solo Balapan Station. Yogyakarta Station is declared efficient with a score of 100% and Solo Balapan Station is not yet efficient with a score of 80%.

Abstract

UKM XYZ is a computer embroidery service business. Based on observations and interviews with the head of production, computer embroidery machines often experience problems and cause machine downtime every month which can cause losses. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of computer embroidery machines using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method and identify the causes of losses using the Six Big Losses. After knowing the cause of the low effectiveness of the machine, the next step is to identify it using the Fishbone Diagram, then provide suggestions for improvement. The results showed that the calculation of OEE resulted in an average value of 76.46%, in the context of JIPM standards categorized as “MEDIUM”, the calculation of Six Big Losses the cause of the highest losses is Reduced Speed Losses with a value of 15.57% and Idling & Minor Stoppage Losses as much as 13.34%. Based on the Fishbone Diagram analysis, the proposed improvements to increase effectiveness are providing training to operators, conducting a daily checklist of machines, ensuring materials according to specifications and machine capabilities, implementing a preventive maintenance system, implementing a 5 R work culture.

Abstract

Efforts to determine optimal raw material control management need to be done to meet production needs This study aims to determine how to forecast demand for Corn and Wheat raw materials at PT ABC. There are two Forecasting methods in the study, namely Moving Average using 2 months and 3 months and Exponential Smoothing with = 0.2 and 0.4 Then to find the most accurate method, the accuracy measurement of the MAD MSE and MAPE forecast results is used. Based on the results of data processing, the measurement error of the forecast results on corn and wheat raw materials was obtained. The results of the Forecasting of Corn raw material demand for the 13th period using the 2 Monthly Moving Average method are 829,442 While the results of the Forecasting of Wheat raw material demand for the 13th period using the Exponential Smoothing method a 0.4 are 125:266. Thus, both methods are expected to be able to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of inventory management in controlling raw materials so as not to experience losses or minimize loss costs.

Abstract

Convection Deanisa Sport is a business that moves in the production of clothing, among other office uniforms, school uniforms, alma mater jackets, and training sets. This convection is located on Jl. Jaksa Agung Suprapto No.5, Limba U Dua, Kota Selatan, Kota Gorontalo. From the results of initial observations in the field, defective products resulting from convection are still quite a lot in the period from 2023 to 2024. Some products that experience defects include errors in cutting, and the sewing process. the average percentage of defects by 10%. Of course, this percentage is very high for the scale of MSME convection Deanisa, so that for the limitation of product defect tolerance used, it is 2.5% - 3% by referring to research reports (Pratomo & Prassetiyo, 2023) and Research reports (Suhadak & Sukmono, 2021) that conduct research in MSMEs with the same scale as convection Deanisa. Therefore, in this research the author will analyze the quality of products using the six Sigma method through DMAIC steps in the convection process to identify product defects and evaluate the production process in creating products that are in accordance with the specified standards.

Abstract

The bagging and warehousing process is a critical operational activity in the Bagging & Warehousing Department of PT ABC. This process is not exempt from occupational health and safety issues. The causes are divided into two categories: unsafe conditions, such as working at heights, and unsafe acts, such as improper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This study aims to identify high-priority risks, determine root causes, and design mitigation strategies to minimize risks in Bagging and Warehousing IV at PT ABC. The methods used include the House of Risk to identify risks and prioritize mitigations and Fault Tree Analysis to determine the root causes of risks. The findings reveal 10 potential risk events triggered by 8 main sources, with four primary risks: risk agent A8 (ARP 1616), A7 (ARP 1068), A1 (ARP 639), and A4 (ARP 552). The study recommends improving PPE usage behavior and ensuring ergonomic working conditions for bagging and warehousing workers.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company in the manufacturing industry of fertiIizers and doIomite rock mining materiaIs. As a manufacturing company, good warehouse management is very important to do because it has an impact on the effectiveness and operationaI costs of the company. Warehouse management at PT XYZ is stiII not optimaI, causing severaI impacts that affect warehouse operating costs. This research was conducted to improve the warehouse system at PT XYZ to be more effective by using the CIass Based Storage method. From the resuIts of the research, it was found that the improvement of the warehouse Iayout arrangement was obtained by grouping the auxiIiary materiaI items based on the FSN cIassification, nameIy fast moving goods, sIow moving goods, and non-moving goods and caIcuIating the fIoor area of auxiIiary materiaI products to determine the area required for each item. Based on the resuIts of the research that has been done, the proposed improvements to the Iayout of the warehouse of auxiIiary materiaIs are abIe to increase the efficiency of mobiIization in and out of the warehouse of auxiIiary materiaIs and more neatIy arranged auxiIiary materiaIs.

Abstract

Putra Jawamas is a company that provides services in the field of repair, fabrication, and procurement, with a primary focus on heavy equipment vehicles. One of the techniques often used in the company's operations is welding, which is a process of joining metals by melting some of the parent metal and filler metal into an inseparable part of operational activities at PT. Putra Jawamas. Therefore, to ensure the health and safety of workers is maintained, supervision of the work environment is needed, especially for workers involved in welding activities. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it is known that the company obtained a category assessment score of 2, which indicates that there are still areas that need to be improved. Thus, the company is expected to improve working conditions for welding workers in the future. This step is very important to maintain the quality of competent workers, while ensuring the quality of products produced by PT. Putra Jawamas is maintained properly.

Abstract

The warehouse is the "spearhead" that supports all company activities. In PT Z's warehouse, the process of receiving, retrieving, and moving goods still has the potential for work accidents. Hazard identification was carried out using the HIRARC and Fishbone Diagram methods to determine the risks and causes. The results of the study showed that there were six activities with seven potential hazards, of which four hazards were classified as medium risk and three others were low risk. Recommendations for improvement include strengthening SOPs for the use of PPE, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the work area, adding K3 signs, using material handling tools, and improving air ventilation. No potential high-risk hazards were found, reflecting the success of risk management in the warehouse. However, regular evaluations, employee training, and strengthening mitigation are still needed to minimize the risk of future work accidents.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is an aspect that must be prioritized by all companies to protect employees from the risk of work accidents. PT Putra Jawamas is engaged in the repair and fabrication sector which has activities that can trigger work accidents. HIRARC is the right step to be implemented in companies to identify, analyze, and reduce K3 risks that can occur in the work environment. The purpose of this study was to examine the level of K3 risk with a risk assessment method using a risk assessment matrix on work activities carried out at PT Putra Jawamas. The results of the study showed that the work carried out had several different levels of risk, the most extreme level being the welding process which can cause burns. The control efforts that can be made are maintaining quality and using welding equipment according to SOP and using personal protective equipment.
