Abstract

Margomulyo Street is in Asemrowo District, which is an area in West Surabaya that is famous for its industrial and warehouse complexes. The dense traffic of heavy vehicles such as trailers and other logistics trucks around industrial areas is the main cause of road pavement structures becoming susceptible to damage, including cracks, holes, and deformation. To maintain the pavement structure at the planned service level, a series of actions are called maintenance and repair. Therefore, to evaluate more deeply the condition of the road pavement, the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method is used. Based on the results of the visual survey, there are several damages and percentage values, namely Weathering and Raveling (46,94%), Rutting (26,35%), Alligator Cracking (11,68%), Corrugation (5,17%), Longitudinal & Transverse Cracking (3,36%), Block Cracking (3,20%), Depression (1,30%), Potholes (1,07%), Patching & Utility Cut Patching (0,66%), Bleeding (0,24%), dan Edge Cracking (0,04%). And based on the results of data analysis, the PCI value on Margomulyo Road is 56.21% (Good).

Abstract

The operational efficiency of minimarkets is highly dependent on the performance of cashiers, who often face the challenges of idle time and workload fluctuations. This study aims to analyze the work efficiency of the cashiers of Kenjeran Minimarket UD. XYX using the work sampling method. Observations were conducted for 10 days with a confidence level of 95% and a level of accuracy of 5%. The results show an average active working time of 90%, with idle time of around 10%. Certain days reach a maximum efficiency of 96.7%, while other days record the lowest efficiency of 80%. These fluctuations remain within the limits of statistical control, indicating the consistency of the cashier's work. To improve efficiency, optimization of work schedules, additional training, and the use of automated technology are recommended. This study shows that work sampling is effective in identifying idle time and designing performance improvement strategies

Abstract

The Sawunggaling Highway is classified as a secondary local road and is also a connecting road between provinces. The length of the Sawunggaling road is 2 km with a road width of ± 8 meters and has a 2 (two) Lane 2 (two) Direction (2/2 UD) road type. This research was conducted to determine the traffic volume because traffic jams often occur on Jalan Sawunggaling Taman Sidoarjo. The cause of traffic jams is the large and small number of vehicles crossing the middle of the lane causing road capacity to decrease. The traffic flow on Jalan Raya Sawunggaling is dominated by motorbikes and large trucks, as well as the irregular behavior of motorcyclists which can also reduce the optimal capacity of the road. So it is necessary to analyze traffic volume using Manual Count on this road section. This research method is quantitative using the Road Capacity Manual (MKJI, 1997). The data obtained comes from primary data, Primary data is data from traffic surveys that have been carried out in the field on Jalan Sawunggaling Taman Sidoarjo. The findings of the survey which was carried out from Monday 23 September 2024 to Sunday 29 September 2024, based on this table, the estimated volume of vehicles passing by can be understood if at 17.00 - 18.00 on Friday 27 September 2024 it can be concluded that the number of vehicles is the highest. 2225.45 Curr/hour.
