Abstract

CV. XYZ is a K300 paving block manufacturer in Sidoarjo that produces five types of products (rectangular, square, hexagonal, three-dimensional, and bishop-shaped) using a make-to-stock system. Differences in demand levels across products lead to inventory imbalances, resulting in some products being at risk of stockouts while others accumulate in excess. This study applies the Run Out Time (ROT) method to determine production priorities and develop a daily production schedule, using actual demand data from May 2024 to April 2026. The results show that ROT produces a dynamic priority sequence, with the most consistent order being: 3-Dimensional/Hexagonal, Square, Rectangular, and Bishop. This method effectively prevents stockouts for all products throughout the 12 planning periods (May 2026–April 2027).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Value Added Tax collection on Electronic Commerce (VAT on PMSE) in Indonesia. The study employed a qualitative-descriptive approach with secondary data analysis, drawing on regulatory documents and fiscal archives from 2020 to 2026. The findings show that VAT on PMSE revenue grew consistently, reaching a cumulative total of IDR 38.76 trillion as of March 2026, contributing 76.7% of total digital economy tax revenue. However, its share of national VAT receipts remained limited at 0.82%. Regulatory dynamics reflect adaptive government responses, though fiscal inequality between foreign and domestic businesses remains a key challenge.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance operational reliability and prevent cavitation by evaluating and redesigning the pump's suction piping system in accordance with API RP 686 standard. The evaluation involved analyzing existing field data and comparing it against API RP 686, followed by suction pipeline redesign and Net Positive Suction Head Available (NPSHa) calculations for both conditions. The results show the existing NPSHa to be 4.78 meters, slightly below the pump's NPSHr (5 meters), indicating potential for cavitation due to existing piping configuration non-compliance with API RP 686. After redesign, NPSHa significantly increased to 7.27 meters, exceeding the pump's NPSHr, proving the new design effectiveness in eliminating cavitation.

Abstract

This research investigates the effect of electrode type on the mechanical properties of welded joints between ST60 carbon steel and AISI 304 stainless steel using the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) method. The study involved tensile and hardness tests on base materials and welded joint regions. Tensile test results show that AISI 304 stainless steel in its initial condition has a maximum tensile strength of 664.27 MPa, while unwelded ST60 steel exhibits the same value. For welded joint specimens, the E6013 electrode produced a maximum tensile strength of 514.06 MPa, which is lower than that obtained using the E308-16 electrode at 560.52 MPa. These results indicate that the E308-16 electrode provides better tensile performance in welded joints. Hardness test results show that ST60 steel has an average hardness of 57 N/mm², while AISI 304 stainless steel has an average hardness of 63.1 N/mm². In welded joints using the E6013 electrode, the highest hardness occurs in the weld metal region, with an average of 66.3 N/mm². In contrast, welded joints produced using the E308-16 electrode show lower hardness in the weld metal region than the base materials. Overall, electrode type significantly affects tensile strength and hardness distribution of welded joints.

Abstract

The implementation of environmentally friendly operational practices in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) faces challenges in balancing production efficiency with sustainable environmental management. This study aims to analyze the effect of green rewards on employee work productivity, with work motivation serving as a mediating variable, at an MSME leather cracker factory. This explanatory quantitative study employed a survey of 80 employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that green rewards have a positive and significant effect on work motivation (Coefficient = 0.486; P = 0.000), while work motivation has a positive and significant effect on work productivity (Coefficient = 0.655; P = 0.000). However, green rewards have no significant direct effect on work productivity (Coefficient = −0.020; P = 0.814). Work motivation was found to fully mediate the relationship between green rewards and work productivity, with an indirect effect coefficient of 0.318 (P = 0.000).

Abstract

PT Prestasi Cahaya Metalindo faces challenges in raw material warehouse management, including unstructured material storage, mixed material categories, incomplete labeling, and the absence of standardized location codes, which lead to inefficiencies in material retrieval and limited traceability between stock records and physical storage locations. This study aims to analyze the current warehouse condition and propose an improvement model using a conceptual Warehouse Management System (WMS) approach and the 5S method. The research applies a descriptive quantitative method with a case study approach, where data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, material searching time measurement, 5S assessment, and stock data analysis. The WMS approach is applied as a conceptual and structured framework for warehouse identification and control, not as a digital software system, focusing on improving material coding, location identification, and stock-location integration based on physical warehouse conditions, while the 5S method is used to evaluate and improve workplace organization. The results indicate that the proposed improvement model provides a potential enhancement in warehouse performance under a designed condition scenario, where material searching time decreases from 10.5 minutes per item to 3.9 minutes per item and the 5S score increases from 43% to 84%, although these results represent a proposed system that has not yet been implemented in actual operational conditions and require further validation. This study highlights that integrating structured warehouse identification systems with workplace organization principles can improve warehouse efficiency in manufacturing environments.

Abstract

Fadhilah Jaya Samawa Farm is a medium-scale laying hen farm located in Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The main problem is a continuously increasing defect rate, from 4.7% in November 2025 to 10.4% in April 2026, with an average of 5.5% from 443,424 total eggs. This study aims to describe the egg production process, analyze product defects using Statistical Quality Control (SQC), and develop improvement recommendations based on Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). SQC was applied through five tools check sheet, histogram, Pareto diagram, p-chart control chart, and cause-and-effect diagram. Results show cracked eggs (35.7%) and thin-shelled eggs (34.2%) as the dominant defects. FMEA analysis identified three highest RPN values from method factors: insufficient floor slope in the cage, non-simultaneous flock replacement per period, and egg collection conducted only once per day. Recommended improvements include correcting cage floor slope, developing a flock replacement SOP, and increasing egg collection frequency.

Abstract

This study was conducted to address the issue of textile product distribution at PT XYZ, which lacks optimal delivery routes, resulting in high mileage and long distribution times. The objective of this study is to determine the optimal distribution routes using the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (CVRPTW) method. The study was conducted using customer demand data, vehicle capacity, distance matrix, travel time matrix, service time, and customer service time limits. A mathematical model was developed using the Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) approach and simulated using Google Colab with the assistance of the Python programming language and the PuLP Solver software. The results show that the CVRPTW method is capable of generating a more optimal distribution route compared to the company’s existing route, with a reduction in total travel distance from 5,466 km to 3,155 km and a reduction in total distribution time from 4,755 minutes to 3,093 minutes. The results indicate that the application of CVRPTW can improve distribution efficiency by reducing travel distance and distribution time.

Abstract

Sea transportation on route X plays a vital role in community mobility but still faces various safety risks that are not yet systematically managed. This study aims to identify risk events and risk agents, determine risk priorities, and propose mitigation strategies for passenger boats. A mixed-method approach was applied, with data collected through field observations and interviews with boat operators, then analyzed quantitatively using the House of Risk (HOR) phases 1 and 2 and the Bowtie diagram. The results identified 10 risk events and 18 risk agents, with the highest risk being boat overload and the lowest risk propeller entanglement in fishing nets. Pareto analysis revealed 9 dominant risk agents and 14 proposed mitigation actions. The Bowtie diagram illustrated the relationship between causes, events, and impacts with 6 main top events. Therefore, operators are recommended to implement and continuously evaluate mitigation strategies to minimize safety risks.

Abstract

Methyl Ester Sulfonate (MES) surfactant derived from used cooking oil has potential for Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery (Chemical EOR), but its stability in brine must be evaluated before further application. This study aims to determine the compatibility of used cooking oil-based MES in synthetic brine with a salinity of 20,000 ppm. The experimental method was conducted by preparing MES solutions at concentrations of 0.3%, 0.7%, and 2%. Each solution was stirred at 60 °C for 1 minute and then heated at 60 °C for 3 hours. Visual observation was carried out based on solution clarity, suspension formation, and precipitation. The results showed that 0.3% MES was the most compatible condition because the solution remained clear and showed no visible precipitate. The 0.7% solution showed fine suspension, while the 2% solution appeared cloudy. Therefore, 0.3% MES is recommended for further testing.
