Abstract

The construction of the Maritime Science Polytechnic building in Makassar City (PIP), is based on the results of a planning review which consists of several activity components, namely; Preparation of work, Land, Structure, Architecture, Mechanical, Power House. With reference to the RAB, the Structure component constitutes the largest portion of the budget allocation of Rp. 51,058,734,268.85. In this way, these work items allow for evaluation, with the aim of efficiency or cost savings while remaining functional and maintaining good quality. Using the evaluation method approach, the floor base plate work item which is the sub-work of the BOC -010 elevation structure which originally used reinforcement using the conventional method was changed to using Wiremesh. After analyzing the reinforcement calculations, it was found that As w > As needed = 904.32 mm2 > 723,456 mm2. So the use of D20-150 iron bar can be replaced with M12-150 wiremesh iron. The results obtained from the results of the conversion analysis which originally used D20 – 150 iron bars, the unit price for conventional iron was Rp. 16,347.56 per kilogram to wiremesh M 12-150 unit price of Rp. 10,060.96 per kilogram. The final results show that; conventional reinforcement according to plan Rp., 16,347.56 x 122,976 = Rp. 2,010,357,646.00 while the price after changes (wiremesh) is IDR 10,060.96 x 122,976.00 = IDR. 1,237,256,616.96. The research results show that in terms of costs, by replacing conventional iron with wire mesh, savings of IDR 1,522,768,824.03 are obtained or with a savings weight of 1.19% of the total budget amount.

Abstract

This research analyzes the maintenance of the grounding system in JIS Pattimura School Building, Jakarta, to improve electrical safety and reliability. A reliable grounding system protects equipment and people from electrical hazards. The research methods include observation, measurement of grounding resistance with an Earth Tester, and analysis based on PUIL standards. The results show that some grounding points, such as the grounding on the server panel and alarm panel, require improvement because the resistance value exceeds the standard, especially in areas with dry soil or covered by buildings, with the grounding resistance value after improvement of 0.96 Ohm and 1.09 Ohm, respectively. The solution implemented was the addition and deepening of grounding electrodes to lower the resistance. Regular maintenance and periodic monitoring are recommended. A maintained grounding system improves safety, extends equipment life, and ensures compliance with standards.

Abstract

Electric energy has crucial role in today's life. In its usage, the kWh meter holds significant importance in measuring electricity consumption, aiming to secure revenue from the company's perspective. PT PLN (Persero), as the primary provider of electricity, uses kWh meters as a medium for transactions with consumers. PT PLN (Persero)'s revenue is derived from the sale of electricity delivered to consumers, as measured by kWh meters. Therefore, it is essential that the measurement of consumer electricity consumption through the kWh meter is accurate, ensuring no energy is unaccounted for. To achieve accurate measurements, monitoring and evaluation of field implementation and the equipment used are necessary. If not carried out properly, it may lead to losses in the form of non-technical losses, which could occur due to electricity theft or damaged or malfunctioning kWh meters owned by customers. The replacement of faulty kWh meters aims to avoid errors in measuring electricity consumption, which could affect the billing of electricity usage payments.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have grown rapidly in Indonesia. Occupational safety in these SMEs still often occurs so that the level of work accidents experienced by workers is being splashed with cooking oil on the worker's body while frying, falling due to slippery floors caused by cooking oil dripping on the floor, and the most common experience of workers is often complaining of pain in body parts, because they sit too long while working. Therefore, a work system design was carried out to improve work safety using a participatory ergonomics approach consisting of owners and employees. The purpose of this study is to avoid occupational health and safety risks, to improve worker welfare, and to reduce discomfort and human error. The results of the study showed that Puput Pastel SMEs need improvements in the frying process, namely a height of 90 cm, a width of the frying container and filter container of 70 cm, and chairs for employees with a width of 28 cm and a height of 65 cm.

Abstract

Indonesia's maritime sector plays a crucial role in the national economy, particularly through shipyard activities spread across both Batam and non-Batam areas. This research examines the financial landscape of the shipbuilding industry in these regions, assessing the challenges, opportunities, strengths, and weaknesses that shape its development. Given its strategic location in Southeast Asia and abundant natural resources, Indonesia has the potential to become a key player in the global maritime industry. However, significant barriers such as high interest rates and limited banking services continue to hinder growth. In Batam, the presence of local policy support and Islamic financing mechanisms from institutions like Bank Mandiri and Bank Permata Syariah offers notable benefits, despite the inherent risks associated with reliance on regional policies. Conversely, non-Batam areas benefit from financial backing by international entities like the Mizuho Group, providing a broader range of long-term funding options. Nevertheless, these regions still face challenges related to infrastructure constraints and elevated interest rates. A SWOT analysis highlights the necessity of implementing adaptable financing strategies and maintaining consistent policy support to ensure sustainable expansion of the shipyard industry across both regions.
